Target had the hangers for $12 and I pulled an 1988 Adley Auto. The only card I really want that's remotely possible to pull from series 1 is the ohtani all aces...which I can buy separately anyways for the same price.

Topps had 'system updates' on Heritage High Series last year but no new stickers - just a system markdown. Long story short - get a price check on Topps products bc some are marked down with no sticker. People will just pass right over them. I got a few Series 2 Topps blasters from 2022 at Walmart that rang up for the lower price. People just assumed they were not marked down bc no sticker.

If you're not even pulling gold /2023 cards what chance is there to pull a Golden Mirror or Platinum 1/1 or even a Heavy Lumber insert? Oh well, it was pretty obvious what their goal was by removing the odds from the boxes, just trying to fleece the lazy that couldn't be bothered to look it up.

I'm grabbing a few I'm so close to the master set. Plus I'm going to stash some. There's no way there going less than 15$s with this class. I'm sure in 3-5 yrs they'll sell for 50-60 a piece
On the surface the $15 sounds great, but when you actually look at what's there...yikes. Every now and then someone may strike gold and get a big hit from a blaster, but it's tough and the odds of even breaking even is very, very low. These are still fun for set building, but don't expect anything valuable.

This just goes to show how much Fanatics purchasing Topps has resulted in massive card printing. Not even worth it at $15!! In comparison, I bought two Topps Chrome Update blaster's from Target last week. 1 had an Esteury Ruiz Green Refractor Rookie Auto 15/99 in it, the other had a Shohei Ohtani ASG Refractor RED 1/5 in it. Last two boxes on the shelf.
Seeing this video just makes me think more that Topps reprinted a bunch of these and sold them to stores int be cheap to make a few bucks. No numbered cards makes the argument even stronger. All of that which he opened could have been reprinted

I don’t know if it’s the same across the country, but I spoke to a manager at one of our Walmart locations and they indicated that many Walmarts are going to be either significantly reducing their card sections or getting rid of them all together due to theft. Could mean huge price drops on the way. 💰👇🤞
Theft is definitely a factor. In Southern California (Orange Co) it is a waste of time to even enter a Walmart or Target expecting to find baseball cards. They are few and far between. The shelves are a mess with mostly just hockey available. Best Buy sells cards, but is bone dry. Some Dick’s Sporting Goods sell cards, but not my local store. I just order online to get my card boxes and once a month will go to the LCS to grab whatever junk wax he repacks for $1 just to set fire to some cash. Zero interest in making money. It’s all about giving the daughters something silly to do while poking fun at players who are lucky to even be printed on cardboard.
@@rdj3video our Target stores are exactly like that as well. Pretty common to go in there and see ripped open pack wrappers on the floor in front of the shelves too.
I agree from what I've seen. They've been amazing for me I absolutely step in crap every time I get one lol. 1st blaster I got #'d Henderson, So far I've pulled vintage stock, Riley Greene, Harris. And a ridiculous amount of rare J.J bleday. Golden mirror, 2 independence day, mothers day all sorts of him. My best pull was Adley Rutschman Auto

I was looking at my autographed Alan Anderson baseball card the other day. He is nice to autograph one of his baseball cards if you call or email him at his realtor’s office. He did that for me. I know it is not worth much money wise, but it is worth a lot to me. He is from Lancaster, Ohio and lives here and runs a realtor business. ❤
He was left off the post-season roster for the Twins in 87 and 91. So technically, he didn’t get a set of rings. That said, he was really good in 88 and 89. I watched or listened to the bulk of his games during that era of Twins history.
As far as I'm concerned Baseball cards might as well have a Poop emoji on the packs seeing Fanatics has a lock on the sports card trading but i still love the videos Jab
Everyone who got into this hobby in 2020-2021 is about to disappear forever, as did the people who rushed into it in the late 1980s. Gold rush is over. Lot of cases of cards will be sitting in basements for decades now, folks. Pay accordingly.

Ironically, I LOVE the 2023 set design. Best design in 35 years. However, they offer almost no parallels. You get a lot of base. Base. Base. Base. However, there are solid rookies in there. Adley, Gunnar, and Michael Harris Jr. stand out. There may be others, in time.

I quit buying Topps. Nearly impossible to get a decent hit and the prices keep going up.
Series 1 retail blaster for $15 or a $14 update hanger and the update hanger wins pretty much every time still.
