18 update is so much fun. Back in the day (before flippers knew what was what), when everyone was cuckoo for cocoa puffs over Zion, I was finding 18 update fatpacks in the clearance rack at wally world. Pulled a Vintage Stock Soto rookie....still my all time greatest pull
Zion / NBA Prizm was in late 2019, while 2018 Update baseball had already started to surge earlier jn 2019 with Acuña’s 40/40 feat. You were very lucky to find in clearance bin.
I had about 10-11 Chrome Update cello packs that sold to another TH-camr for $10-$20 each. Just to move them, while fortunately he lives within reasonable driving distance.
If we couldve invented a time machine and went back to 2018/early 2019 when Update and update chrome was just sitting and sitting on shelves at stores. Wish I wouldve grabbed all the boxes available at that time!
Keep opening the 18 Update. Love it. I have plenty of 18 Topps and Bowman stashed but the only 18 Update I have is the Chrome Megas. Obviously not buying anymore 18 Update at current prices. Thanks for sharing. Nice Ohtani pull.
This was a really good breakdown. I refer newbies to your videos as a starting point as you do a great job of covering the basics that people should be aware of. Even though the print runs are much higher, I really do think 2022 Update will be highly collectible long-term. Royce Lewis is a sneaky value guy in it, along with potentially generational talents in Julio and Witt. Plus 2022 Update Chrome was such a disappointment so there's less to compete with.

It's funny you mention the 2019 Gold Tatis, I just picked one up at the end of December for $240 and I was shocked it was so low that I picked it up ASAP and I'm so happy I was able to pick one up finally!
