As someone who took an archery class once I can confidently say that it's arguably more difficult to hit a circular archery target than hitting any spot of a dragon's throat that is the size of a literal building.
Katy hit the equivalent of the broad side of a barn. The Dweller-in-Darkness was a friggin MASSIVE Cthulhu monster. It wasn't like it was a pinpoint accurate shot on a small target. And it wasn't even a kill shot. Ultimately it served as a distraction that gave Shang-Chi, Xialing, and the Great Protector a leg up in their fight. I can totally accept that without issues.
To be fair about the arrow thing... it was a really large target (with no indication of distance) and she acknowledged her own surprise at hitting it both right after and at the end. It was a good narrative conclusion to her personal arc, the idea being she's actually very capable but never makes an attempt at anything significant.
that plus the fact they've been in that village for a few days before Wenwu arrived so it was essentially like going to archery camp for the weekend and I've seen people being absolute naturals without having shot a single arrow before.
but the soul sucker thing was far and also high from her, if by chance she shot at it without practise, it should have shot its legs or stomach,. Neck is so high above to be lucky
A big target. Of a giant thing. With huge gusts of wind swirling around it. So consider me still shocked. It can be the empire state building. You shoot an arrow during a wind storm chances are it will mot hit where you are aiming
Or we can just let go such things because it's a movie. My real question was, I mean shang was just a martial artist and later he got those rings which surely doesn't provide him any self protection for body. So how was se surviving such hits and throws during the fights? After all he's just a mere human! Or maybe they've shown somewhere in the movie I might've missed.
plus that dragon's throat was the size of a literal building so it's not that farfetched to assume someone with 2-3 days worth of archery training could make that shot. It's not like she hit that thing in the eye or nostril or something.
After watching 2 seasons of the the show, I think happy Hogan or Aunt May or spiderman (2002) aunt may or Ned or Alzheimer riddled agent Carder on her death bed or visions fake boss while chocking on food could beat the shit out of Danny Rand.
It's also a spirit entity related to chaos and confusion. It's why it can talk to Trevor because he's very confused. 'touched' even. It doesn't breath. Just like the firebirds are on fire but aren't consumed.
About the Infinity Stone thing, did everybody forget that they explained that some people managed to hold on to the infinity stone because they held hands? And how at the end of the movie they did exactly that? They held hands, and were able to survive for a few seconds, which was all they needed to kill Ronan.
The dragon was huge. I would be annoyed if she missed. That would show she was too inept. Besides they foreshadowed her making the shot when she was in practice and did well.
daredevil and all of them would LOSE to ironfist in a fight... that how good ironfist is suppose to be in martial arts 🤣🤣 jesus i forgot how horrible that show was
Of He would I mean for me iron fist is one of the best martial artist I'm the MC only few people can match him in a hand to hand fight daredevil even with everything he got has a severe disadvantage I am just posting this because I just want to express how horrible that show was
But the movies without a big final boss battle are usually criticized? Remember Doctor Strange, the movie we both love.....its 3rd act is considered underwhelming
A lot of people go out to marvel movies explicitly for the spectacle. Well made movies without spectacle like the last duel are spectacular failures. People don't want to leave their homes to watch dramas.
Me too, given the director noted it's one of the inspirations, there's a poster in Shang Chi's room, and one of the actors was in both (older Ta Lo guy). Also, the end fight may have been partially inspired by it, when Shang Chi floating in the air and falling, rings spinning inside the mega soul sucker vs. Chow's character falling back to earth and then doing that 'buddhist palm' move.
I don't think you can't be racist as long as you acknowledge stereotypes & NOT treat it as an identity, but rather as a trait. Chinese people have narrow eyes, Black people have thick lips & nose, etc etc is NOT RACIST, it's biology.
One of my biggest gripes with the movies is that the writers didn't age up the characters after they cast the actors. I like the actors, but Simu and Awkwafina do not look 24/25 and Meng'er doesn't 20/21. This may seem silly to some people, but it's hella distracting to me, especially every time Katie brings up the timeline.
that chinese exclusive scenes in Ironman 3 were only 3-4 minutes combined, trust me it's not plot related, merely backstory for the doctor who removes Tony's heart thing at the end
If you’re looking for alliteration like “black don’t crack” I propose the saying “Asian ain’t aging” “That’s categorized as an Asian thing?” I mean where I am here in central Cali the biggest sneakerheads I know are almost all Filipino. And whenever I go into shoe stores at the mall the majority clientele is Filipino dudes. So to me that observation holds up

She also doesn't think snuck was a word. (Conan interview where she threw shade on Conan's Harvard education, then he embarrassed her by having staff get a dictionary)
Subjective. He did fine. He's just out shone by one of the greatest actors of his generation Tony Leung. It's like how Thor lack gravitas against his father the great Anthony Hopkins or his sister Cate Blanchett. Or how Star lord is a bit one note next to Kurt Russel. It's also hard for anyone to outshine RDJ in any scene. Hemsworth and Pratt do ok but they shine in the comedy bits. Liu does okay in the drama but shines with the amount of stunts he did for it and looking like a credible fighter. I think like black panther the very strong antagonist takes a bit away from the protagonists but that's okay because we'll see the protagonist again (well, they were planning to with BP).
As someone who took an archery class once I can confidently say that it's arguably more difficult to hit a circular archery target than hitting any spot of a dragon's throat that is the size of a literal building.

hey another Daredevil

@@sergioaccioly5219 Also the series as well. He is definitely a ninja.
Absolutely not.if you're talking about his fighting style, then it is... what stick taught him + boxing
Boxing is also a martial art
I think Kate's shot at the dragon was more of "OMG I got lucky" rather than I learned to be as good as Hawkeye in a day or 2
plus that dragon's throat was the size of a literal building so it's not that farfetched to assume someone with 2-3 days worth of archery training could make that shot. It's not like she hit that thing in the eye or nostril or something.
To show how Marvel TV botched Iron Fist is people think Daredevil can compete with Iron Fist in a fight. What a tragedy.
Iron fist was so cool in the spiderman cartoon
After watching 2 seasons of the the show, I think happy Hogan or Aunt May or spiderman (2002) aunt may or Ned or Alzheimer riddled agent Carder on her death bed or visions fake boss while chocking on food could beat the shit out of Danny Rand.
yeh that always pissed me off so bad.
in a raw fight, yes, Daredevil can beat Iron Fist. but with his powers, nah he can't.
the chicken butt creature is actually referenced from chinese legends and ancient art just like a lot of the creatures in the movie
yeah, many people don't know that.
It's also a spirit entity related to chaos and confusion. It's why it can talk to Trevor because he's very confused. 'touched' even. It doesn't breath. Just like the firebirds are on fire but aren't consumed.

Comic Canon: Shang Chi beats Dany Rand Iron-fist in a unpowered fight. Only 'tying' if the fist is used.
The monster is a pretty big target, I don't think you need Hawkeye level skill to hit it when it's right infront of you.
pretty big+ high above, so if she shot at it , it would ve probably shot at itas leg or stomach. Neck is so high
that's too far, besides the force with which it hit the monster doesn't seem realistic

I'm surprised they did not include a single clip from Kungfu hustle.
