Nice review guys :) I do like the idea, unfortunately my state liquor control does not allow alcohol to be shipped across the border by anyone but them :(
If that changes anytime in the future, I will be all over this :) I checked out what they offer, and they have a lot of bottles I would like to sample.

On one hand, the idea of the sampler is a good idea if you want to try several different whiskies, but on the other hand 50ml samples don't give me the whole experience. Some 750 ml bottles are plain gross or weak tasting when I first open them, and then when they open up maybe 1/3 or 1/2 way down the bottle they taste better and really start to sing! I had a bottle of Edradour with a fantastic nose a few months ago, but it tasted flat like cardboard. A few weeks later, I got up the courage to try a second dram and it was better. Half the bottle was consumed in very little time, and every dram was better than the last, and each one was at a different sitting... I remember having a bottle of Ezra B a couple of years ago, and it did not impress me at all. I drank it because I don't believe in wasting anything, and after a year of being cautious with it, I was down to the last dram. The first sip of the last dram was that AHA! moment where I finally "got" it. Samples are only good as a first impression if you ask me... They don't give you enough exposure to really get to know the whisky... Maybe that Santis is really great stuff after you've endured half a bottle :)

+fehquig ...all excellent tips Fehquig. I've heard that before from several people. I doubt the Santis "opens up" though. I've had a few bottles that didn't really impress me too, and i've drank them down too just because i don't want to waste any. There hasn't been any that have changed my first impressions though. Slainte` Scott.

Whoa.... What happened guys? I honestly prefer proper bottle even if it's once a week. Great idea though but I'm just old school I think.

All of the you tubers has the same reaction to the Santis sample. Funny stuff. When will you get to the Yoichi? The 15 yo is one of my favorites.

+cato cato ...Looking forward to the other samples that were included in the pack which we haven't gotten to yet. Funny about the other TH-camrs, going to have to check them out. Looks like there are several who did a review around the same time frame. They must have sent out several packs for review.
