This tablet is still very capable for web browsing and streaming your favorite content. I don't do any gaming or use the cameras, so all I care about is how fast and responsive a tablet is and how good it is when I'm watching Netflix for example. This tablet is so much more capable than the newer A7 lite or for example the majority of newer midrange Lenovo tablets (In my use.) Display resolution is nice and brightness really good.
Love your videos! Very good quality and detailed content. I'm hesitating between this tablet and the T5 10. I'd have a few questions. Does both have OTG support, and is there a major difference in their battery life?

If you want four speakers, a fingerprint scanner and an optional stylus, get the Huawei. However, if you want the software be up to date longer and a faster performance, get the Samsung Tab A 2019.
Another great review, but as the Mediapad M5 Lite 10 is the same price as the M5 8.4 which is the better purchase? If you are not really going to be playing High end games, but just using it to watch videos on Amazon Prime, watching sport and surfing the web etc would the M5 Lite be a better option, as it has a bigger screen and better speakers. Also is the difference in screen resolution that noticeable between the M5 Lite 10 and the ordinary M5 10 for everyday web browsing and video watching and are their speakers the same? The decision between the M5 8 and M5 Lite 10 is easy: Which screen size do you prefer? If you're just using it at home I would get the 10-inch one. It has better speakers, yes. And for everyday tasks like browsing the web, watching videos, you won't notice a performance difference. Also, I think that for most people, me included, a full HD resolution on 10 inches is fine. However, if you compare them directly and are picky about the screen, then you will notice a difference. To notice a difference you also have to watch videos in a resolution greater than full HD. Otherwise it is the same anyways. And you have to have the tablet right in front of you. If it is sitting at arms length away from you, then it'll look the same. A difference is more noticeable if you are reading texts and are closely in front of the tablet. Then the text on a higher-resolution screen will look noticeably sharper.
Thank you for your reply, I will probably just be using it to watch videos at arms length, so the M5 Lite 10 does seem the better option. If I wanted to watch video content higher than HD I would probably use my 4K TV in any case. As the speakers on both the 10 inch versions are the same then I could save a few pounds with the Lite model, and as that version comes with a 3.5 headphone jack it is an added bonus.
Quick question : can we connect multiple Bluetooth device at once? The used price for this tablet is quite decent and im thinking of getting one for school and note taking. The bluetooth peripherals that im tjinking of connecting to this tablet is a keyboard and a mouse.
It won't get any further Android updates. A very similar but new tablet is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Huawei is also about to release the Huawei MatePad but it won't have any Google apps.

Is there Chromecast support? Any dark mode? And have you tried a third party launcher like Nova and does it work smoothly? And have you had any more new updates to the tablet e.g. Oreo 8.1 or newer?
tablet come out with android 8.0 the brightness is high for tablets standards there's no app reloading because 3gb of ram is a good size yes, there's a dark mode, is called eye confort mode
I don't think Huawei will release a M6 Lite until Summer 2019. So... I would get it. Maybe you can find a good Black Friday deal. Otherwise we might see M6 tablets at the end of February at MWC. However, I don't think Huawei will bring the headphone jack back...

Usually, I would choose the newer one and the Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab does have more up-to-date software. However, you can not watch Netflix in HD on the Lenovo... So, since Netflix is important to you and since the Huawei has four good speakers too, I would go with the M5 Lite in your case.
Lite is similar but no where near as powerful, you need to correct your wording at the start of the video. It is a great tablet without a doubt but the M5 standard and pro are way more powerful.
It does not have a desktop mode. And it didn't get any major update in 2019. They seemed to have planed it originally, but I guess the US-China trade war got in the middle of updates...
A Samsung S4 Tablet is good for Education and running High recourse applications, just like this one, except samsung has a digital navigation bar, so samsung is better for education.
On notebookcheck page they have had samo bigger complaints about display, which they find to be color innacurate with contrast only 535:1. This is so much different than yours review here. I would like to know why is this, as this is only obstacle for me to buying this tablet?
I've the habit of reading lots of web pages is there a way to scribble or mark on the web and on pdfs while I'm reading and save the marked page for later.
It already has that problem because of its specifications -It can't update over Android 8.0 -I have the tablet so I know :( -I recommend getting the Media pad M5 (Not lite or Pro version) because it can turn into a laptop and also update to android 9.0 (I Dont know if it can go to 10.0 (latest)) -it is not durable (just to let you know)

@@vinaymandhyan525 Samsung Dex should be much better. I don't think they are equally good. If money is not a problem Tab S4 is better than m5 overall. Where M5 could be better are speakers, presence of fingerprint scanner, a bit bigger screen, metal back.
If you can get it at the same price, I would choose the M5 Lite 10 over the Galaxy Tab A 10.5. Mainly because it has a fingerprint scanner, better speakers, and a metal body. However, the Samsung one might get longer updates. And it is a bit bigger (10.5 inches compared to 10.1 inches). So... choose which features you prefer.
Also note that the M5 Lite has 1080P support for Netflix/Amazon Prime etc. The Galaxy A 10.5 only has Widevine L3 and Netflix will only scale up to 540P. This can be a major dealbraker for some.
I can't play youtube if I use a bluetooth speaker or bluetooth headsets. WiFi drops significantly when you use both connections at the same time. Anyone has a fix for this?

The CPU power is an improvement over SD435 but graphics power isn't at all compared with Adreno 505 in M3 Lite.

Might be a good idea to read product reviews on sites such as Amazon. I have the standard edition, not Lite, and can certainly say no issues.

Hugo Santos , iPad 2018 is the better choice for School and gaming, it also has more apps available.
