Just bought the HUAWEI Mediapad M5 Pro bundle (M5, keyboard, pencil, free 64Gb SD card), it’s amazing with LTE (in Europe) and storage card tray. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the review. I was one of those who asked for it. I have this tablet and so far is great. For music and videos is super. Its 4 speakers sound better than any laptop or tablet. It includes the USB type C to 3.5 jack adaptor for the headphones. Another use for this tablet is reading books and comic books, the size is perfect and comics look awesome. For drawing is just a matter of sticking to your preferred app and learning all about it to get the best of it. Hope your efforts bring you blessings and more abundance in all aspects of your life.
Thank you for doing a review. I'm trying to branch out from pencil and paper style drawing and get into the wonderful wide world of digital art. I fell in love with the Apple Pro, but I'm not good enough to drop that kind of cash. Another seller has come to me with the Huawei M5 Pro and I've been debating on whether or not to go for it. You've helped me tremendously. Thank you!
Thank you for this! Despite being on the market for a while, there's so little comprehensive coverage for this tablets art capabilities. There just ain't much interest in Android tabs these days, sadly. Thanks for the review!
Hi, Many, many thanks for your nice reviews! They really helped me out. But still I am wondering if this tablet and pen can also be used for taking notes. Is it posssible to write really small on it. Or is a ipad-version better for writing and drawing. I am still not sure if its worth to save the money to buy a media pad pro or some samsung with pen.... Whar do you think?
M5 Pro is quite old already. The latest M Pencil (2nd gen) is quite good although not as good as Apple Pencil yet. You can search for my reviews with "matepad teoh"
was thinking about getting one of these until I found out about lack of headphone jack! I already have very nice headphones, I'm so tired of all of these companies trying to twist my arm to force me to buy new heaphones when I don't need or want wireless ones. So stupid.
Thanks. Tell me please, anyone, is that white frame (in champagne gold) a problem for you? Have you noticed it when watching videos in the daytime? How it is at night?
Really appreciate your take on Tablet reviews. Thanks. One thing to keep in mind also is the huge price difference between this tablet and the Samsung, Microsoft and Apple. This tablet is less than half the cost. So the slight lag, and the inability to play back video at 4k is mitigated by the price point. I hope you agree. I am very interested in doing a channel specializing in the best tech at low price point, like this device. Question, how do you contact Huawei in order to review their products?
You're right. Because of it's significantly more affordable, getting this as a budget entertainment tablet is worth the money. I don't contact companies to get review units. It's usually the companies who contact me, if not then I will just buy the product myself, such is the case with this Huawei tablet (secondhand).
Hi, for mainly note taking in school and learning what would you recommend? Mediapad M5 pro or the Samsung galaxy Tab S3 or maybe you know some cheaper alternatives? Thanks for your reply.
Actually they are about the same stylus experience to me. Tab S4 OLED screen is definitely more vibrant and nicer but that is significantly more expensive. If you have limited budget, the M5 Pro is a very good buy.
thanks ,but what about the note taking performance of tabs3 and s4 compare to media pad m5 pro? cause both tabs3 and m5 pro have around the same price ,and m5 pro have a newer and more powerful processor
Because the Tab S3 and S4 also has the hard (slippery tip), the note taking performance will be similar to the M5 Pro. For taking notes, it's better to have slippery tip because that allows you to write faster. For taking notes, I recommend M5 Pro because it's cheaper than the Samsung. Even if the Tab S3 is cheaper, it might be better to get the M5 Pro because the screen is larger and it's really enjoyable to watch videos on it.

Hello from Mexico. I just reviewed Amazon, and this tablet MediaPad M5 pro costs the same as the S4 Cover of 64g and in the S3 tap (32g) is 27% cheaper. I do not know if it will be for something tariffs, but I thought it would be cheaper than the S4 at the level of S3 .... even though I'm going to wait to see if the Android version of Yoga Book 2 comes out that there is only with window.

Or 2k video. Tq
4K I don't think so. 1080P video probably with the right app. Look for the app first.
They also just announced the m5 lite.. That supports the mpen
Oh wow. Didn't know about that
@@teohyc it is a budget version of this with a smaller screen. I think 10.1 inch. The pen is a separate purchase sadly
@@kyle2841 Actually, pen is not separated from tablet...at least, in my country. Very good deal, to be honest, just bought the lite version yesterday and I must say m-pen lite is working like a charm, just without that buttons on it...
Re your comment at 9:29, question re M-pen tip replacement: I read by someone on the net that the Wacom ACK22211 definitely doesn't work as tip replacement. Do you have any updated info on this? To bundle it with an expensive stylus without being able to replace the tip at some point seems to be a major oversight on the part of Huawei, if this turns out to be the case..
Are you sure that this Spiderman gameplay video doesn't come from... a 1080p footage (ps4 non-pro)? Then that would explain why youtube doesnt propose the video in higher res... (youtube wont upscale videos to higher res if it doesnt exist..)
When you click the button to change resolution, it shows 1080P, and there's no option to show 1440P
However I like tab s4 but thank you for your nice explanation.
Can I use pen with mediapad m5 32 GB?
7:18
the problem is this costs just as much as the s4 ..
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REVIEW
Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite
LITE !!! it costs only 250 , and also comes with a stylus and 10 inch screen but is a little weaker than the pro , but probably better than the s3
Probably not going to review that. I expect the same writing performance. Stylus is sold separately if I remember correctly
*Teoh Yi Chie* , the stylus is packed in , but its a light version with less pressure sensitivity ... also the specs are lower than the pro and other versions, i saw people drawing swift and elegant without any delay on a samsung tab A 10.1 (which is weaker than both s3 and this and the m5 lite, so there must be something wrong with your settings or something ... wait ill search the video for you
Hello from Mexico. I just reviewed Amazon, and this tablet MediaPad M5 pro costs the same as the S4 Cover of 64g and in the S3 tap (32g) is 27% cheaper. I do not know if it will be for something tariffs, but I thought it would be cheaper than the S4 at the level of S3 .... even though I'm going to wait to see if the Android version of Yoga Book 2 comes out that there is only with window.
im worried about huwei quality and reliability after using samsung for so many years with good results
Former Samsung user here, I currently own a Huawei tablet as well as a couple of their flagship phones. Their build quality is solid and beautiful and I highly recommend them.
From my experience, it's better than samsung. Samsung slows down after a while, but not huawei.
Does mpen work with mediapad t3 10
Wait is that a yes?
Is it compatible with Huawei Mediapad T3??? 😭
I'm not sure.
For some reason the pen pressure of my device won't work exclusively when I'm on medibang pro, and I don't know why
Pressure is not on by default in Medibang. You have to turn it on in settings.
