    Thanks for the review. This is my current gamer as I have a hard time paying $40 -$50 for a dozen golf balls. I find these perform as good as anything else I have tried and I love how soft they feel. Dare I say it, they feel super soft.

    Love how this ball rolls on the greens. Around 15-20 HCP with very good short game and improving wedge/around the greens game. I drop 20-30 ft putts on practice greens often, rolls so pure with odyssey Whitehot blade putter.

    Mark you should get your hands on some x-out / practice range balls and see how those compare to brand new balls. That would be most interesting for me to see, more so than new against new.

    Started using these recently. The are super....soft...! Takes some getting used to but a few holes in and it's fine. Green side spin is noticably less (consistently so for me) than a premium ball so you just have to take that into account.

    has anyone ever used the TaylorMade Burner golf ball? I do lose a fair amount of balls as I am just trying to break 90 when I play, and normally am on a course that has quite a few bushes. So the lower price point is where i''m at for golf balls. I exclusively played with the Nike PD Soft until they quit making them, and I have tried a few different balls since then. I really liked the Callaway Warbird, but those have become hard to find as well. I just picked up a case of these Super Soft and a case of the TM Burner. I haven't had a chance to play them yet. The burner is advertised as a 60 compression and very soft, so I wonder how they feel.

    Switched to these last season from the "high price point" golf balls. Love them. I love the soft feel around the green, when I putt and I find they actually spin less for me and my ball flight has been more consistent when I hit the club square.
    Perfect for the mid to high handicap player. And the price is an added feature. Thanks for reviewing them Mark !

    i used these for a ling time and they were the softest balls i've ever used, but i have recently changed to the pro v1 as they started to feel too soft, but i could imagine that people would love that they are so soft and still get good numbers. i do think my sing and clubhead speed has increased a little, and that i think is what made me change over tp the titleist prov1, but the supersoft still a brilliant ball.

    Mark! Whattup bruh from Seattle, WA. Love the vids man. You have the perfect amount of cynicism 😁💯. As consumers we really appreciate that and take your recommendations more seriously because of it. My question is, does the soft feel of these balls replicate in any way the feel you talk about when you strike a blade (soft buttery feel you gushed about in the mizuno vid)? Could this ball provide the best of both worlds? take that blade feel and transfer it to more forgiving irons. Thanks!

    Hi mark. I game pro v1x (just cos I like them) however I seem to be playing a lot in the wind here in NZ. Would a softer ball with lower spin be a better option in windy conditions. I have finally beaten my power fade/slice and an hitting a staight/slight draw on most clubs. 12 handicap but that's cos I can't chip and putt for toffee.

    The claims of manufacturers are funny. Current Bridgestone ads state that their ball is 44% straighter than ProV1 - not sure how that is measured.

    • @garybrumley3519

    Review some Wilson staff golf balls people have forgot how good they are

  • @PkGam
    @PkGam 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    My favorite budget ball! Holds greens, "feels" good with it's buttery softness... Though I wouldn't say it straightens you out as I can just as easily block or duck hook a shot with them as any other ball. In fact, that's how I lost a few of them when I was struggling with my consistency. :P So they probably aren't going to make you any straighter as that's all on the player. However, the stopping power and comfy feel are quite strong selling points for the price. It's quite remarkable how far ball technology has gotten when you look at these really because the "budget distance ball" of the past was a hand-stinging rock-hard slick-cover 2-piece ball that couldn't hold greens for the life of it. Now we've got great 2-piecers like this on the market.
    9:51 was that Navi from The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time? :O

    I play the Supersoft and also the Truvis (Yellow/black) and, honestly, to me there's not a lot of difference between the two except for the price point (SS = $20/dz vs CS $38/dz in the States). The Supersoft is certainly a low compression go to ball in cold weather and I'd say I play it 75-80% of the time over the Chromesoft.

    Found one under a pine tree on #8. I lost my ball and took the penalty. Took my drop with the found SSoft, pitched to green, and sunk the 6foot putt for my double. Teed off on #9 with the SSoft which yielded a beautiful 200+ drive in the fairway. My 8i was just short of green, pitched on, and sank the par putt. I may buy a dozen of these. Hope I can find a box with the shamrock printed on the ball like my found one! ☘️

    Callaway has been my ball of choice since they started making balls back when they came out with the Rule 35 Blue and Red. The Chrome Soft is my current ball. On the courses I play it's important for me to choose a ball that spins enough to stop quickly the greens. I also want a ball that feels soft off the wedges and putter.

    For mid and high handicap golfers, these balls are a great value. It doesn’t really matter about spin numbers when most golfers ball strikes are so inconsistent. Until you get into the single digit handicaps, you probably shouldn’t spend more than $30 on a box of balls.

  • @SteveSmith-sn7kn
    @SteveSmith-sn7kn 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have used this ball and like the softness of it. As a player who generates lots of spin, I wouldn't game it because I can't control the spin and I find myself chipping back onto greens even though the pitch mark is on the green. Have spun a ball 12 feet back with a 6 iron.

    I understand what you're getting at as strike is king. What you put into the ball from your strike will depend on how the ball reacts, but are you saying a premium ball will perform better then a cheaper ball even if the strike isn't there (more consistent)? I'm a mid handicap golfer and some days the strike is there and others it isn't. Will a premium ball change my game enough for me to notice?

    I've gamed the SuperSoft balls for the past year. Why? Because... yup, they're super soft in relation to other balls. I particularly like their feel around the greens, offering me much better connection between ball and wedge/putter. Honestly, I'd buy this ball even if it were priced like a premium ball (though I'm certainly not complaining).

    This is my ball (In australia) and the extra distance that you had on the 7 iron might explain the "issue" I'm having.
    I started to hit the ball an extra 10 metres with my clubs. Could it be better strike from me? No, probably not ;)
    But I find it to be a great ball for my 20 handicap, but I am going to buy a sleeve of the next level balls to try out - see if the distance control comes back.
    Thanks for reviewing this one. Much appreciated.

  • @AbnormalAxis
    @AbnormalAxis 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I played ProV1 for years and started trying new balls out a couple years ago for no other reason than curiosity. All the balls I tried play very well. Today's technology has made it so much harder to choose just one when hitting them well. You got to have a wind ball, or a humid ball, or a dry air ball. How about one for high elevation or for sea level courses...... So it came down to mishits and feel from 125 yards in. When I mishit any "premium ball"' not only does the ball spin off into the abyss but I damage the ball and my wedges (Cally MD3 and X Forged) shred them up. However the Supersoft lasts all round, doesn't violently spin out of control on mishits and is usually not all that bad. The Supersofts fly a little higher than the ProV1 as an example but lands just as soft and almost acts like it's a little heavier in the way it bounces lower. But what really sold me was in the putting. The ball goes into roll just a bit quicker than the ProV1 and feels exactly like the distance I am trying to putt. My putting speeds are spot on now where as the ProV1 would sometimes feel light to me or sometimes felt as if it spent to much time on the putter face and looses a bit of its pop off the face. Sadly it's a Scotty Cameron putter that is designed to putt the Titleist ball and it likes the Cally better.

    I’ve used these and Noodle Long & Soft and Taylormade Soft Response. A pro at my club said he feels no difference but I as a beginner do. Some of the pricier balls feels like you are hitting a rock. Could be a combination of higher compression and Surlyn cover. I like the soft feel. The balls are cheaper and I have a lower swing speed and I just think they are a good match. Nice review. It was... super.

    I use the Super Soft when I go to the Pitch & Putt w/my Wife and Nephews but play Chrome Soft on regulation courses. For par 3 courses there really is not much difference they stop fine and seem consistent. The difference I notice is with the driver, mid irons and hybrids (Super Soft flys higher) I get a more penetrating ball flight with the Chrome Soft. Chrome Soft holds the Green on approach shots better with anything longer than a 7 iron.

  • @Rozkovar
    @Rozkovar 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I dont See the point to test balls. The whole material and equipements testing/ discussion is totally overrated in golf. If a ball bounce, stop or roll out depends more on other variables (angle, spin, condition of the green) than on material. The industry behind the golfsport, the pixie dust and the whole schmear is meanwhile as import as the sport itself, sad. The material will help the least of us to play better. People should spend their money more on lessons and experience. Travel, check out new courses and have fun.

    For the price, I don't know that you do much better than these. I do like a soft feel golf ball and have played these along with Chrome Softs and struggle to find much noticeable difference in anything. No, I don't get longer drives, but I also don't notice much of a spin/bite difference around the greens with control shots. They're also a great winter ball when it's real cold out. Not sure if there will be a difference in summer when I'm golfing in 105 degree weather, but I'll find out in a few months.

    The Supersoft are a great feeling ball, Longer than most in it's category and better short game performance than a lot of 3 piece balls, Great ball for those looking to move up from the beginning stages of being a golfer to being an advanced stage player, When your handicap drops around 10 and below it is time to make the move to the Chrome Soft and Pro V1 family of Golf balls.. Supersoft is an all around great ball.

    I use Super soft balls, I mark them with an arrow which i use alignment for Teeing off and putting. Could you answer me a question if your hitting the ball on the same side/spot for most of your shots would this effect the ball in any way.
    Bigron.

    Mark, question. There was 40% difference in stopping distances between the balls and double the spin difference. I understand the variables are so difficult to control [our performance] that it may not mean that much but would this difference increase further with a much lower trajectory into the green?

    2020 I just switched from the Titlist trusoft. I've gained 10-12 off the tee. I just shot my lowest round of the early season 41-9holes.

    Thank you for this SUPERSOFT review! Have you ever tested test SUPERSOFT Matte finished balls? Since they feel different, I have to think that in some way they must perform differently. Thanks. Ken

    For the price these are excellent balls, I tend to play these or the srixon ad333. I never buy premium balls because I don't like chucking £5 notes into ponds #justsayinbruh

    found a supersoft on the course. eventually hit it and my immediate reaction was, 'wtf was that?' which is to say it felt, super soft. So I hit it again, and again, my reaction was, wow that felt so nice. The flight was a little odd, as I felt like I swung in a way that would usually cause a 10 yard fade, but the ball just sorta stayed on its line. I figured because it was 'super soft' that it must be a high spinning ball, but now that I've been seeing that it's actually not the case at all with these balls, I bought a dozen for 25 bucks and might put them in play. I normally play prov's but I'm such a high spin player and can stop my mid to long irons within 10 feet of landing on the green that I could benefit from something with a little less spin to bring the height down a little and maybe give me an extra clubs distance in my bag on some of the longer shots. In conclusion, super soft!

    Hey Mark, how do I get some golfballs with your face on them? I'll never find one, seeing as you never play my course here in 🇨🇦. Cheers. Great vlogs. And great reviews.

    I used to play Prov1x, until I found a lost Chrome Soft on the course. These chrome soft balls spin as hell from PW range in... so I kept on using it! :)

    my opinion is that the premium balls on the market are more consistent purely based on a gaming environment they seem to have same feel shot after shot ...but there are some great lower price point balls on market ....I play pro v 1 or nxt tour most of the time but with the chrome soft being about same price as my beloved nxt tour ...I have been playing few holes with it and it is a great ball....

    I enjoy the Callaway SuperSoft golf ball, I think it is a really good ball to play. I would say that there are too many statistics being given in the video. Not every golfer wants to know what the spin rate is of their golf ball.

    I have been gaming these for 6 months. Got the 2016 model at £6 per dozen so bought 12 dozen worth. Great ball, feels amazing on irons and putts lovely.

    I played the Supersoft this past weekend on the coldest day of the year. Decent ball, it is soft even in the cold. But, I too noticed spin fluctuations. I absolutely pured a 5 iron 200 yards and 20 yards over a green. I’ve never hit a 5 iron that far, particularly in high 30 degree weather. On two other occasions I airmailed the greens because I caught the ball a groove low on the face and dropped off spin. Another spun too much, ballooned, and fell short on a par 3 because I caught it a touch high on the face of a wedge. I didn’t notice any difference in length off the driver. Decent ball and good for slower swing players looking for feel and spin around the green. But, it does not spin near as consistent as premium balls and that can get better players in trouble.
