We explore 3 main chambers inside the Galveston Scottish Rite. The Library, The Lodge Room, and the 1929 Vaudeville Theater. The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite is a centuries-old, global fraternity founded on principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. The Galveston Scottish Rite, established in 1867, holds the distinction of being Texas' oldest chapter and home to the state's initial "high" degrees of Freemasonry. With a resilient history spanning 150 years, the Galveston Valley has overcome challenges like epidemics, floods, and fires, remaining steadfast in its service to members and the community.

This is a beautiful building! A real treasure. I have seen a couple of the rooms, and the staircase is stunning. I would love to have another tour and see more of the building. I hope it will continue to be restored and treasured.

I had a job painting the Lodge Room. I worked for a guy named Dana and my co-workers were Tomme Jordan and Gerald Richard. This must have been around the early 1980's. Loved going to work there and being a part of the restoration.

Of all the things I could comment on, I know this is kind of silly lol, but the building reminds me of the inside of the building at the end of The First Wives Club... in the story it was also to host stuff for charities. I still don't understand the masons lol I love the man leading you around the building. SO knowledgeable but also so charismatic and funny ☺ I really enjoyed this. Subscribing! Very glad I accidentally hit this video! I was a spotlight operator for almost a decade, If I had access to all that stage equipment I'd melt

When I lived in Galveston I had not yet joined Masonry and I always wanted to see the inside of this building.

Don’t do it. It’s Satanism, and once you are in, you can’t get out. Not without divine help.

Do they ever allow civilians in? Was theatre only for Masons? What is difference between Scottish Rite and other Masons? Why did they call it Scottish Rite? Seems mostly Egyptian.

Yes, you can go inside. This answers most of your questions in detail.
