    Although this track has not really that trancey vibe that you would hear in uplifting, melodic or prog trance i would like to thank you that you put "trance" in a spotlight. Trance is not dead (as some people might say) and thats why it needs much more attention in the public area. 💓💓

      Trance is never dead, it's just not in the mainstream anymore.
      It will his comeback in the mainstream, but when? That can be in a short whit a 5 a 10 y or in long time period 15 a 30y.
      Now the 80s sounds make a comeback in my opinion.

What would you consider real dubstep ;) I have been observing the dubstep scene, more from the Widdler / Causa / Coffi etc (darker) side than from the Virtual Riot / Space Laces / Au5 / UKF side but IMO both broad strokes styles are completely valid under the umbrella term dubstep.

      According to wikipedia, the general tempo range of trance is 135-150. But that also includes psytrance. When I make trance, 140 is the sweet spot.

    • @mikesaintjulesmusic
      @mikesaintjulesmusic ปีที่แล้ว

      @RAM_845 Uplifting perhaps, but most of it can be as slow as even 124 and up to 140. I remember when 142 was a thing in the 2003 trance.

      @maxgrooten3239 ปีที่แล้ว

      150 BPM is more suitable for hardtrance, but in the 21st century hardtrance has taken a more childish/happy hardcore turn. Pity. In the 2nd half of the 90s there was some brilliant hardtrance.

      ishkur's is more of a comedy sketch than a music genre reference, the original was more accurate (flash based), it's been expanded out so far it seems like half the genre names are just pulled out of thin air. His description and comments on the various genres are hilarious at times.

    Why do we not have a shortcut for "make unique" yet. imagine how useful it would be to just select a few clips and then hit a combo of keys and all become unique. or even better... you make a unique clip and make the changes say if its a lead or something and you have 2 other leads that you need to do it to but you just change 1 and select them all and it does something such as "make all unique copying top clip" so you just change the one that is highest in the playlist which you usually would anyway and then you just select the others and it copies. even if it doesnt make them unique if there was a way to do both seperate would be great. just make your leads, make all unique and change one then copy top clip to all

      @@dougveganparadisebuilder5808 I might share some of your sentiments. I used to enjoy trance back when I was very young naïve little dweeb. While limitations do breed creativity, I do find that trance sometimes feels like a tiny cage of musical expression (not to mention repeated supersaw anthems get super cheesy very quickly). Trance sets often feels like you go to the theater for a film and leave after a couple hours saying: "Crud, man, the trailer showed the best clips."
      That's probably why I left the genre for breaks and also guitar based music. For breakbeats, I found a goldmine in the duo known as "Hybrid". Cinematic textures with these super lit drum grooves that would fit so many cinematic cues. Man, I still love that stuff (although some of their vocal guests are a bit rubber-bandy-on-oil-slicks at times).
      That being said, I do sometimes get nostalgic for trance-vibes. Progressive trance was a subgenre that seemed to give the *babe-filled-Italian-sportscar-commercialy-beach-drive-by sound* a different shade of polished gloss -- filling the dancefloor with a plethora of variety instead of homogenized cheese. *If there's anything I can't stand it's people who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch-supersaw sound.* JK! I'll see myself out now.

    I always try to avoid octave jumping baselines so nobody does realize how old i am, because this is so 80s pop music style 😉

    This is so far from my normal workflow. I'm not saying it's bad. It's just not how I would achieve my best result. I focus mostly on Tech House which is still a form of Electronica. I was just curious how an FL approach to a dance song looks like. Looks alot like W.A. Productions to me which in many ways is kind of cookie cutter out of the box approach.

    Honestly Id like to know where you are looking at in the browser because I don't have that in my browser to add to the channel rack.
