If anyone wants to explore the most beautiful genre, here are some gems
1 Darren Porter - Deep Blue
2 Armin van Buuren - Coming Home
3 Ahmed Romel & Illitheas - Lands of Soho (for me the best piece of music ever created)
4 The Avengers - Yugen (legendary stuff fr)
    5 Driftmoon & Geert Huinink - Like a Knife
6 Daxson - While we Wait
    Edit
7 Sergey Nevone - White Swans
    8 Simon o'Shine - apprehension

Deep Blue is beautiful. I'd also recommend Escapade by Majera and Whisper (Simon Templar Refresh) by Winkee.

One of my favourite genres. Ferry Corsten's early stuff, Armin's music before 2010, Cosmic Gate, also Giuseppe Ottaviani and Nifra, and anything from Amsterdam Trance (Raz Nitzan's label).

Hey Dude- Dave From Los Angeles here.
Wanted to thank you so much for your videos.
I am in my mid-late 30s and always wanted to make music, but that learning curve was just a little too steep. I can edit videos, but I have 0 music theory. One day I just bought a copy of FL studio, stumbled on your videos and today I've made a small EP. Your videos are so easy to follow along and it really helps to get the skeleton down to expand into something new and unique. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and keep up with the good work.

Yes, Trance has faded out of the mainstream. But Trance is a genre that's acquired its own niche withing EDM. And it is one of my favourite genres of music.
By the way, that bassline Arcade made is one of the most common and simple bassline. Its been used across genres be that EDM or Britney Spears and Lady GaGa (Applause).
Cheers to Arcade. You made my Sunday morning, man!!

Hey Arcade love the content. You thought me a lot of what I know about music production. One suggestion about the content is that you skip a lot of the best practices while making the guides (such as naming the patterns; coloring patterns & instruments, creating mixer channels and naming for different instruments etc...) I think these would be really helpful for beginners. Keep it up man

@@waviation9 I don't care if 99% of the people say that it is correct. 99% of the people is mostly wrong anyway. So even in this case. Many people will always be stubborn, ignorant and stupid in some ways. I'm sure that I'm stupid sometimes too but I know my thing here. EDM is it's own genre, but just a few people understand it. You can find people here in the comments other than me saying this. I've been listening to Trance music for 28 years and been making music for over 20 years as well. After the fall of trance in 2006 some clowns came up with EDM. Some people said it had another meaning far back in time but I have never heard of it before. Anyway I know that after 2006 it came out as a genre with sharp bad quality synth sounds and repeatable beats more like house music. Even do they use strong synth sounds as well as they do in Trance music and also in the more underground Happy Hardcore scene and in the Hardstyle/Hardcore scene doesn't make it trance music. There are many many genres of trance, but all is far from EDM.

@trancephile2412 That's right yes, I think 7 Skies did a great one some years back but looks like it has been taken down. That rolling bass is usually in three parts, low end sub, chunky middle bass and then like a plucky high end also. Usually most will do at least 3 instances. Almost Psy Trance style but with delay and movement / groove.

Thank you for a great tutorial. 👍🏽
I'm quite interested in your channel. I do have a question, please & ask with respect to you as an artist regardless of anyone elses comments. Also, to be clear, my question is only regarding to your samples that I may purchase too.
Ok, so I'm just starting to make my own music, with the ambitions to make my own music from scratch professionally. It would be really good if I could start off by making 10 well structured, well-made, quick bangers using purchase samples from your packs. Then, I look to release my music on platforms. I then will aim to build a good artist profile of myself. Get more experience & of course some money. Then, I can afford to buy build & and develop my own studio hardware & make all my own synthesis & vocals myself.
If I wanted to make music using your purchased samples, then take them to my own producer or label, my question would be to you....
Will there be any further royalties or copyright owed to you?
I read a lot of clauses that are disclosed in these areas & I don't want to be misinterpreting what I read. Can there be just a straight, Yes, further copyright royalties may still apply to you....or
No further copyright royalties will apply after the initial purchase.
If I could get this little grey area out the way, I'll be better off for it. 👍🏽 I'm so tired of all the information overload, but don't want to be like many out there and just rip off artist or producers, making money off work that's not 100% made by my own synthesis or hardware. Even though it's my goal to further in time. 😎

It's more progressive trance than uplifting. Still trance regardless. *EDM* is just an umbrella term for genres, it's not a real thing itself.

@@djperryboy You realise that EDM stands for *Electronic Dance Music* right? That in itself is *not* a genre, but a category for a multitude of genres. Someone saying this isn't trance makes zero sense when it falls under the *electronic* category.

@@Mykst I don't care if 99% of the people say that it is correct.
