I have a 2070 Super Founders with a i7 9700K. Changed some reasonable recommendations (card limitations) of yours and I found very good improvements. Always looking for that secret recipe and I may have found it. Thanks again and love the content.
I am a newcomer to FS and need basic information, which is in short supply. I mean BASIC. Got this running on an I5 7th gen with a 1050 GTX 16gb or ram.... mostly all set to high. I just bought the simulator yesterday. Thought I was going to only be able to play on low to medium settings I was surprised when it ran so smoothly.

12:52 For thoes denaid acces to the WindowsApp folder: Start the simulator then go to Task manager click on the Microsoft Flight simulator then right click on the FlightSimulator and go to properties from there you can adjust the settings. 😊👍

Thank you for the instruction video. I was really wondering how I can adjust those menus and settings of the sim and the graphics card. I use RTX 3060ti which is still good for the recent updates of the sim. I am wondering if I get an answer here. I heard that Asobo is going to launch the XBOX version of the sim during the current July, and they said they will deploy the DirectX 12 for the XBOX version and at the same time they say they will come with a new DirectX 12 (for the PC) which going to increase the frame rate of the sim much better than the current version of the DirectX. do you have any idea about this alteration ?.. I wish this is true as I don't have the intention to upgrade my pc during 2021 and the reason that the sim is still new and still MicroSoft didn't finish all the uniform for this sim yet.

Thanks Q8.......single greatest tip for me was backing off screen resolution.......virtually eliminated stutter at airports.

@@giz54 my standard 'full screen resolution' and 'render scaling' is 3840x2160 which provides a high definition at the price of performance. If i back off to 2560x1440 for both settings i will enjoy better performance at the cost of definition. No reason you can't switch back and forth depending on the scenario.....hope this helps.

RTX2060super and volumetric clouds have a huge performance hit. I am running s 3440x1440 so its a bit too much for my card and had to lower it to high.With 2560x1440 is the only time I can push it to ultra or 1080p.
From my understanding 2060super 1080p territory especially in this game. It will run 1440p 60fps just fine in less demanding games that doesn't have RT.
3080 and 3090 4K.
Its what I am stuck with until gpus pricing are normal again.
Do you know how to disable aerosol density. Or lower it below 1?

Terrain Level of detail and Cloud quality are the settings that in my opinion make this sim look really next-gem so these settings are always on 200/ultra for me.
As for tweaks turning off Hyperthreading if you have a CPU with 8+ cores will considerably improved FPS consistency and higher average FPS. Also RAM speed is really important for this sim, make sure to have them installed in dual channel configuration and XMP profile loaded in the bios. If you know how to overclock this game also benefits from a higher core clock, I gained about 5 ~ 6 fps going from 4.9 GHZ to 5GHZ on my PC
BTW my specs: 9900K @ 5GHZ, 64 GB of RAM @3600mhz, RTX 3090, M2 Samsung SSD 500GB.
...but HT is actually a considerable amount of work. I grant you with more heat but the trade is worth it
Thank you, im running a 2060 on a 3600x with 16gb, @ 1080. Your suggestions have me now sitting between 44 - and 47 with vsync on (tears without) much happier and not much compromise ! tested in the JF Arrow also.

Some graphic settings page I gound told med to keep Light Shafts to ULTRA. Howcome? All other settings, exept for the top 3-4 settings was recommended to be HIGH. Any idea why I need ULTRA on the light shafts?

Thanks...Yes all aircraft run smooth. I am actually enjoying MSFS now. Still a few hiccups here and there, but overall solid performance.
@@Q8Pilot my stutters problems appears with flybywire, try several fixes without sucess. Dont have this problem on Stock a320 and crj, runs 99% time smooth. Thks for the feedback.
With a computer that will handle MSFS 2020, do you think I can install it onto Windows 11?
Anyone would know how to turn off that beeping noise when you click with your mouse? Mine does it constantly when moving or clicking even while i am in the plane.

Thanks for the useful video. However what I notice is that your cockpit panel surrounds are EXTREMELY dark. Almost black. This highlights MSFS's lack of ability to properly adjust lighting between the exterior and interior, even when you add interior lighting. Also, light shafts need maybe much more attention as to explanation, because they seem to be linked to aerosol settings. You have light shafts on ULTRA but I do not see any at all.

You can change the scaling. Keep you sim resolution at 1080p and set scaling to 2k. It should help with frames.
Hi mate excellent, one thing please I can't find my .exe file , I put msfs on my D drive , my app folder is empty there , so is the one on my C drive , just in case it was there?

No you don't need that much ram. 64 is more than enough.
Are these tweaks still for the SU5? Or do I have to tweak other things?
They should work for SU5.
Can these settings also be used in X-plane to increase FPS?
If you are referring to "Disabling Full Screen Optimizations", it will eliminate stutters. I don't have those in X-Plane. Give it a shot and let me know, but I doubt it would increase perfornance.
What setting does eat the most RAM? I'm talking about XPlane11
XPlane doesn't require a lot of RAM but requires VRAM. Texture quality is the biggest consumer of VRAM in XP. If you use ortho4xp VRAM will be consumed very easily.
I have a 6900XT and a 5600x. Don't shy away from AMD products. I get 80 fps everywhere using these settings.

Generally speaking yes it should apply for all programs. In X-Plane however, I get no stutters whatsoever so I haven't tried this.
@@Q8PilotThank you. My X Plane 11 runs perfect in VR at a steady 40fps with OBS lua file but there is always place for additional improvement. My PC specs are similar to yours.

I use VR, and I have just tried Osama's settings in VR. I can confirm, they work in VR, with greatly reduced stuttering.

EVGA 2060 Super here.
ASUS 2060 super here and a lot of these settings on Ultra will the 2060super really hard especially on 1440p
These are good settings, but we all know the best settings are the low end. Lol
I find 40+ fps for enjoyable flying
should point out that this tweaks are for RTX 3090 users.

i wouldn't call this a tuning guide, we don't all own rtx 3090's. i can bet the majority of people watching have a rtx 3060 or under. i have watched your video's for along time, they seem tooo be getting shorter and shorter without as much detail, especially your flight tutorials.
