Some say that we can produce hydrogen and oxygen, but to seperate them you need an amount of energy. And then when you burn them it becomes the water again and it produces some energy. Ideally the amount produced is equal to the amount required to seperate hydrogen and oxygen from water. Hence it is impossible for a car to move but only you can do the electrolysis and combustion which gives no extra energy. But there are cars running on hydrogen. It has the same process but electrolysis is done already and you are buying that hydrogen and doing the combustion to receive energy to move the vehicle. Maybe in the newspaper they wanted to catch attention and might have explained this. Anyways broz nothing is impossible nowadays. They might discover hidden features of water and might make it possible. If they find it in future, people will say us as idiot. That we even dont know water has this property that can produce energy. But upto now, no such thing is discovered.

Bro how you could say that electric car is eco friendly may be comparatively better than ic engines but think on this perspective it produces e-waste which is radioactive and it is more hazardous when we all change to e-vehicle there will be more e waste where will we dump those waste which is nondegradable and radioactive.
And moreover we have all gone through this occasion like blasting of mobile phones due to its battery so even mobile battery having a huge impact on contrast think about the huge vehicle battery it's really a big query on its reliability.
Finally battery has aging neither we use it.
Bro reliablity of EV will be like 10 times higher than the most advanced ICE cars because the Motor tech and battery tech has been developed for many years and Motors are not engine to have problem and motor tech is very reliable than ICE cars which has like 1000 moving parts which are built to only last like 10 years on most ICE cars.
Battery Degradation - Yes you will have battery degrade based on your charging habit like using FAST CHARGING all the time. But mostly it will be charged at home at night so we can expect 10% tp 20% degration after 10 years or 1 lakh km. And with 20% less mileage it might still provide 100KM per charge which is plenty for a second hand CITY USE buyer.
And BATTERY TECH will improve 10 Times in the next 10 YEARS and cost will Come down like more then half. So you can replace your battery like you are used to doing service on ICE cars which adds up to like 1 lakh for 10 years = Which can be spent on replacing the battery or fixing other issues.
So EV's are better for people who are OK with its range and tech specific for using charging stations.
Also i forget 4 to 5 lakhs in saving by using an EV than an ICE car.
