Guys, the fuel does not cross the High Pressure pump untill the engine is cranked. Since high pressure pumps work via camshaft, the fuel does not affect the pump or rail at key position 2. The problem comes only after cranking. I did not mention this in the video. I apologize for this mistake 😢🙏

I can nicely visualise without any graphics. Your way of teaching and expression is top notch. You can become a College Professor. Students will love your teaching.
High pressure fuel pump available in only direct injection petrol engines not in naturally aspirated. In gasoline direct injection, pressure required is 200bar which needs pump and this pressure generation achievable by camshaft rotation itself, whereas in Diesel direct injection pressure requirement during injection is 1800-2000 bar. so it requires separate crank driven high pressure fuel pump (PR ratio is high from 3 bar to 2000 bar). In case of naturally aspirated petrol engines we have sufficient time for air fuel mixture(injection in cylinder ports) so no need of high pressure generation to atomize fuel heavily and thus aid mixing. when injecting directly into cylinders combustion chamber we have very very less time of fuel air mixing so only we use high pressure pump in petrol direct injection. Please correct me, if i am wrong
Brilliant explanation! - and Diesel engines are turbocharged, which compresses the air to even massive pressures inside the cylinder. Petrol detonations will be uncontrollable and chaotic. Cannot imagine the extent of damage when you multiply it by 4.

Bro 💯💯 loved your content.. , inorder to prevent this problem the diameter of petrol hulk will be different from Diesel, so that it can't enter the tank inlet...
Water entering engine is nothing but.. After you leave the accelerator after continuous acceleration, there'll be some amount of suction pull in the exhaust pipes. When you drive in waterlogged conditions, this pressure may suck the water and make it enter the engine via the exhaust pipes. That's why we drive vehicles without leaving accelerator in waterlogged conditions. Another point is that water may enter through the air intake when you go offroad or drive through water clogged areas. That's why offloading cars have something that's like a arm over the a pillar of the car and that's called the SNORKEL.
Superb Bro I expect the same explanation from you and I have one doubt about lubrication.Sulpur is getting reduced in Diesel fuel now it has only 10 ppm.It is no problem for Bs6 engines because they are upgraded for such kind of fuel. What about BS4 and Bs3 Diesel engine because they are made according to Bs4 and BS3 fuel respectively.Bs4 Diesel has 50ppm and Bs3 Diesel has 350ppm of sulpur content. Now we are using fuel that has 10 ppm of sulpur. So my question is What problem may occur to Fuel pump and Injectors in Long time?Or Is there any Solution for this.

Bro..onnum illa..diesel engines vibrate more than petrol engines because diesel is denser than petrol..diesel petrol ah vida combustion la neraya energy produce pannum, leading to more vibrations. That's why diesel cars are so nose heavy( heavier on the front side) because they use high dense metals for manufacturing engine components to cope up with high energy, leading to increased weight. That's why, diesel bikes are no more. Moreover, diesel requires higher maintenance than petrol because that high energy causes components to wear and tear often. That's why. Thanks.

Any engineered part is designed and developed to a factor of safety considering the application area. Hence a Diesel engine power train should not be expected to withstand the effects caused by wrong fuel.

Like mahindra thar, ford endeavour, mg gloster, force gurkha etc.. they have 2 wheel high(2H), 4 wheel high( 4H) and 4 wheel low range( 4L) modes.. Hope I have answered your question.
When we have so many sensors Available today why can't the manufacturer put a sensor and prevent the wrong fuel to be pumped from the low pressure pump.
I dont think that's possible because there is no sensor to find the type of liquid pumped in. Also, that alone will require a lot of R&D and it's reliability will still be a question mark. Electric vehicles dont have these type of problems..
@@2jc_gte thanks for the detailed explanation. I just got this question because we have so much R&D for autonomous driving happening , may be priroties may be different. Thanks for your reply again.

Hi, can you please explain, why the Diesel cars maintenance cost is expensive compare to petrol cars. apart from the engine, all other components are common like AC, Gearbox, and transmission.

It will damage the gear rings within the gearbox. Main thing is based on the down shift range 6 to 1st gear will cause more damage.. so the damage is equally proportional to range of shifting...
Bro one question, why maruti doesn't have the ESP AND HILL hold assist in manual.but they have it in automatic.in this any interesting information is there?
How about older model vehicles ? Is there any high pressure & low pressure pump. how fuel pumped from tank to engine in the older model petrol & diesel engines
How the engine works using cng gas. Why cng gas using engine produce less amount of bhp compare to a same cc engine using petrol. Hope you answer my question
I had doubt, it's running so many years.. that is when car r bike is started and going for a ride or to job. My question is when u stopped on traffic and the bike r car is in netural (anyway the engine is running) where will the power goes??
The power will be lost. They'll not go anywhere. The engine will be running. But as the gearbox is in neutral, the engine power will be lost. That's why we have to switch off the engine in traffic signals.✌🏻( obviously to conserve power and fuel)
What check points have car manufacturers created for this? Based on the smell or some other parameter, is the car not able to signal to driver? something similar to seat belt
No. Diesel only has higher ignition temperature than petrol. Because petrol is lighter and diesel is denser. That's why compression ratio in diesel engines are very much higher than compression ratio in petrol engines.

Very detailedly explained, thank you so much bro, this is my long time dought ...
Thanks for your great Explanation 👌👌
This is fantastic, Thanks for the explanation
What check points have car manufacturers created for this? Based on the smell or some other parameter, is the car not able to signal to driver? something similar to seat belt
Bro i heard petrol has high ingnition temperate than diesel... so when petrol is added to diesel engine the engine should not run right...??
No. Diesel only has higher ignition temperature than petrol. Because petrol is lighter and diesel is denser. That's why compression ratio in diesel engines are very much higher than compression ratio in petrol engines.
Bro..epovume en load vehicles athathu lorry aprm matha heavy vehicles lam diesel la iruku.....foriegn la mostly elam petrol cars than...en apdi ??
