Callum - all those trips to Mirpur and you've not tried an Egg burger?! Oh dear! Next time you're in Mirpur ask to get a Basharat Burger, it's a famous Egg Burger place in Mirpur. In the summer time there is a guy a few stalls down who does a lovely kulfi and falooda.

In regards to your question, the simple answer would be that those who do not affirm that Allah is their lord and that the prophet Muhammad is his messenger, cannot be admitted into paradise because this (the shahada) is the main principle which differentiates the Muslims from the rest of the people. Also the purpose of our creation and the reason for our very existence is purely on worshiping our lord and doing that which pleases him, which Allah affirms in the Quran and the prophet.
To be able to worship allah in a way that befits him is by following what the Quran has ordered of us and adhering to the guidelines and teachings of the prophet. That which the prophet has ordered upon his ummah (nation) is that we do good actions and we refrain from sinning. But we can only do this if we understand why we are doing it and that’s why we as Muslims understand that belief in god is that which will enter us into heaven, everything apart from that is entirely on the mercy of Allah.
In regards to a person who may have been charitable and of the most compassionate and generous people but did not believe in Islam :
The point is not whether their morals are good, rather the point is whether they submit to Allah and obey his commands. Do you not see the Magians [Zoroastrians] or the Buddhists, for example, who worship fire or idols instead of Allah, and they do not worship Allah or submit to Him alone, and the Christians who say that God has a son, and other mushriks (those who associate others with Allah).
So how can their morals be good when they are so ill-mannered towards Allah, even though Allah has given them hearing and sight, and has made everything easy for them, and has sent His Messengers to them and revealed His Books to them, and bestowed His blessings upon them, so it is His right that they should thank Him and not be ungrateful to Him or disbelieve in Him. If they do not do that then they deserve His punishment and wrath
Allah has given so many proofs and signs for humanity to not be able to reject Islam however the ignorant are blind to these signs.
I would advise you to read the Quran and listen to it with English translation 🫱🏼🫲🏽

All the answers to your questions about Islam are in the Quran. No one can articulate it like God has already through revelation. There is nuance and context that makes these concepts “have to read for yourself” ultimately it’s God’s will who enters heaven and hell, who is forgiven and who is not etc.

The religious book of Islam the Quran. Has many scientific facts written in it. The quran is over 1400 years old. Now you come with a logical reason on how someone 1400 years ago can predict things which scientists are only figuring out now.
Barry you are 100 percent correct. Islam promotes critical thinking, pondering, questioning etc. Blind faith is not true faith. A person needs to believe it with his intellect and heart.

@@barryryan5187 Not knowing is not an issue, not wanting to know is an issue- there isn’t a single object around you which doesn’t have/or wasn’t created for a purpose? similarly us humans must have all been created for a purpose too, to search for the evidence is upon you .. start with the books sent by god- there’s plenty of bibles and similar types, and one of the clearest is Quran where god provides numerous miracles and hypothesise which are are proven facts today.

To the question you asked about heaven, Anyone who do not committ shirk has a chance to go to heaven. "committ shirk" means do not associate other with God almighty. I think that is the general principale.

Hello Callum. The answer to your question lies in the quran. God tells us throughout in the quran to believe and worship him alone without any partners. God forgives all sins except the sin of attributing partners to him ie. Believing in other gods or believing there is someone else that shares his divine essence or attributes. This is called shirk. This can also be forgiven if the person leaves this belief...
The belief of true monotheism did not start in the 7th century when the prophet muhammad peace be upon him was present but rather its a reoccuring theme that was taught and conveyed by other prophets like jesus,abraham,moses and noah etc peace upon them all.
If a person does not receive the true message of islam or if lives in such a remote place where he has no access to knowledge then scholars have said that person can enter heaven based on what that persons natural inclination is. The natural inclination is called the fitrah. And the fitrah basically tells every human being that there is a divine creator without any other details..
If you are of sound mind and you are mature and not a child and you receive the message of islam which is basically to believe in one God and that the prophet muhammad peace be upon him is the final messenger and if you were to reject the message then unfortunately such a person will not enter heaven. Islam is a very logical religion it challenges the mind to think and investigate so hence if the mind was to ponder then that person will reach the fact that this is the truth... so the belief predates all other actions

Callum bro, from what I know about Islam, if you have been introduced to Islam & the absolute core belief in 1 all mighty creator who has no partners, no kin, no beginning, no end and that he sent many prophets and messengers with Muhammad being the last and the Quran being the final revelation, you've read the Quran then I think you still get punished despite your deeds, I guess this is based on your rejection. I'm sure deeds will count for something though. There is still interpretations which state people who have not had Islam enter their life like say some random tribe in the Amazon in 2024 or any insular community wouldn't get punished. Overall Allah states many times he is forgiving and loves his human creation. I'd say pick up a good quality Quran translation "Clear Quran" being one or even the "Quranly" app. And just educate yourself. In chapter2 Allah says, "Let there be no compulsion in religion, for the truth stands out clearly from falsehood. So whoever renounces false gods and believes in Allah has certainly grasped the firmest, unfailing hand-hold. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing." So may Allah guide you. Do what you believe to be best for your heart and soul lad.

Callum me ol’ mate to answer your question on being a good human being but not taking the Shahada, basically yes he would enter hell. It seems harsh I know but it’s something we have to accept if we believe Islam and trust Allah.
To give you a proper answer on here would be a bit long so the best place to get a proper explanation of it would be to find a good video regarding this matter on TH-cam and maybe reference a top scholars name for example Mufti Menk, Sheikh Asim Al Hakeem or Yusuf Estes among others.
Sins are forgiven, Allah IS the most forgiving and merciful and also says that even if your sins amount to the size of a mountain, He will forgive if you repent. He says come to me over and over and over again and He will forgive but you have to repent sincerely 😊

For example the religion makes sense but you didn’t want to stop drinking or having sex before marriage and many other things. So you chose the worldly goods over the religion if you get my drift.

@@CallumAbroad just add what you need to remember is to be a Muslim you need to believe allah is the only god and Muhammad is the final messenger. Everything else that we do which are sins are things we work and pray that we stop doing.
Just to respond to your question about dying a non muslim, its pretty clear in the Qur'an mate, God tests everyone in a different way, if the message of islam didnt reach a person they may be tested a different way, for example a nice person who lives in a jungle may have never heard of islam, also keep in mind according to God, everyone is born a muslim (submitting to God) and then socialised into family beliefs etc
