WOW. just wanna start off by saying WOW, love your content. Came across your channel cuz I bought a rx100 M5 for $300 about 2 weeks ago. However I realized the lens doesn't come out properly when powering on. It worked most of the time but I was getting increasingly frustrated. Your videos give me the confidence to swap out the lens, so I just ordered one! Pretty excited to see how it will turn out. Your coverage on a wide array of the rx100s is top tier. I haven't come across any other channel that go in depth like you do. also was really cool to see you have a variety of projects on this channel. I really enjoyed you building your gaming PC. Great choices for parts! I also saw your follow up video on your PC's performance. You should look into Davinci Resolve 18. its free version has GPU acceleration, which will leverage you RTX 3060 to get faster renders! I highly recommend it. @@daves.projects hey dave. So i swapped out the lens that i got from ebay. Mind you its not new. Went to turn it on and the lens pops out and stays out, i hear a gear noise and then get the "turn camera off and on again". Faulty lens i thought. So I put on the original lens and same thing. Weird since the original lens worked about 90% of the time. I checked all the connections and flex cables. Any idea what might be going on? Am thinking about buying a "new" lens this time.
