Here are my thoughts on the Icon Airflite helmet after owning it for 1 month. I bought this helmet off of Revzilla and added an RST Red face shield to it. It also has a mohawk/warhawk attached to it.
I appreciate you mentioning you can see through the tinted screen at night as most other videos don’t mention that. I thought you’d have to buy a chromatic screen for that functionality. Good review!
Thank you! A chromatic shield would probably be safer, but the tinted one worked for me! Hopefully your experience is the same
Have it and welllll .... can se a sh.. at night, a lil more than others but will not use as a daily night visor😅
Even if you can see ok, check the laws in your area. In some places it's illegal to ride at night with a tinted visor.

i have this helmet 2 years now its amazing, an other tip that fastlaned didnt mention is that you have to buy a size bigger than you usually buy on other helmets.

I love this helmet.
The whistling is there, but not REALLY bad.
Also, that motoradds go pro mount is great. I’m skeptical of sticking a $300 camera on anything really, so I added a small zip tie around the camera and through the vents on the visor. Not noticeable and it adds a little more piece of mind.
Honestly though, review is on point!
I was thinking...how about running a small, thin strip of adhesive foam along that top edge to get a better seal? Black, foam weather stripping for doors...cut to fit. 🤷🏻♂️👍🏻✌🏼
What bike do you have? It's not bad on my vrod, but when I get on the R1 its awful with the slightly leaned forward seating position. That's a smart idea! I may have to follow suit...thank you for watching 🤟🏾

@@FastLaneD great helmet was a huge upgrade from the icon alliance i was currently using , the airflow is great , pretty aerodynamic at high speeds I've hit 135mph with no problem, the paddling extremely comfortable for long rides love that it doesn't squeeze your cheeks , also has alot more side vision which is great for me becuase I live in a high traffic city so staying alert of my surrounding is nice
You can cut out that side skirt of cheek pad to mount some BT device. Look on other vids.

great review bro👍...i got a custom vrod and always had a open face half helmet on all my motorcycles but now im thinking of getting a full face helmet and this one looked great, but i did have that concern with whistling coming from the top, because i ride with my head low most of the time, like you explained...so I'm a little concerned now....great review anyways...👍
I love my vrod! I'd love to see a video of your custom vrod...I had some build plans for this summer but with everything going on right now Im gonna hold off. This helmet goes well with our bikes. I bought the mips stealth about 4 months ago and it's freaking apart, vents fell off, spoiler has a hard time staying in place, overall I thought it was awesome at first.

What about sizing? I have a pretty big dome and tried on an XL at the shop... Not even close. Maybe icons just run small? I have a large Shoei and it fits decent.
Hey you can mount a clamp in this helmet. Go between the poly shell and the hard foam. Have an SMH10 hooked on with no problems or gaps. Unfortunately where it can mount does cause wind noise near your ear. Also did you have issue with the mouth of the visor creating noise or is my visor just crap lol.

Bro can you make a small vid on ur air flite GoPro setup .. like mainly for the mic adapter and all that ?! I got one as well and a hero 7 and haven’t mounted it cause idk how to go about it lol.
I still haven't mounted mine yet! But I will probably use MotoRadds chin mount to keep it simple. I really like chin mount versus the side mount...plus its a little less drag on the helmet when riding

My head is 59/60cm, should i get that size or should i get it one size bigger ?
Is it supposed to be tight as you slip it on? I thought I'd be L but that was tight to put on and then I tried on XL and that wasn't too bad when I was inside, but it felt tight putting on. So now I'm think maybe 2XL? They didn't have it, so I'm not sure.

Yes. I have this helmet and ride in Washington state year round. Even when it's clicked all the way shut,, rain seeps down on the inside of the visor.

I have a question a lot of people tell me the face shield comes up when u ride over 100 is that true?
Mine got a squeak after a few months know issue icon wants your to send your lid in and they will decide if its safe or not such a joke(got the fayder in white its a sweet lid otherwise)

What size do you have? I heard in the reviews to order a size up because its very snug
It is very snug, but it’ll “stretch” out a bit after its broken in. It’s made for an intermediate oval head shape, so if you fit that just follow the size chart.

When you take off the helmet does it hurt your ears? I bought the Battle Scar2 and that thing hurts going on and off. I went by the size chart too.

It’s a little tight to get off but doesn’t hurt. But with the helmet on it does squish the shit out of my cheeks. Everywhere else is fine but it hurt my cheeks idk if I should got a large even tho my head measure 22.5”. Smh

It's long oval so it you are used to Intermediate Oval, it will be a lil tighter side to side , but I haven't fou d it to be a deal breaker. I still wear a med in icon long oval lids

I have the icon airflite too, but i hear a constant rattling noise near my right ear. Does anyone know what it could be and hoe to solve it?

I got mine about 15 days ago sometimes I get a turbulence sound from the right side.

In comparison with my previous helmet this one is silent as the grave. What worries me is if the rain seeping in from the screen will be too much for me.
Seph Kateno i might try glue something on the inside of the visor cover on the right side, some soft and absorbing material. Because the wind that is going through the little gap of the right visor cover.

I've made carbon fiber for the military for the past 2 years....that is not a material you want for a helmet. Its VERY weak to impact. Non existent weak..
