    Great headlamp.
Part of the toolkit for my EDC Bag.
I would love to see an upgrade with the same form factor.
Kind of a stripped down NU35.
    It would
    - Retain the NU17’s Red LED features plus adding another brighter level,
    - Another level of CRI White light with about 50 lumens, and
    - a brighter white light ≥ 300 lumens.
    - USB-C Charging
    - A larger battery.

This light is a step above my many other low weight exercise headlamps. The high CRI and red illumination are just a bonus for me, but may be essential for other users. Stable to wear/use, wide hot spot with nice spill. Easily worth the $$

I would love it if this very underrated light came with USB type c charging and a cross-section perpendicular strap over the top part of the head, molle webbing and velcro attachment on it's back.

Oh and to make it more awesome, house the light in a gitd body while still keeping it lightweight and small. It can be called the nu17s gitd Nitecore, please hear us fans out and give us the ultimate final form of this niche but useful light.

Or it could be also have a red /green laser pointer added and be named, the nu17 special edition.

    How this compares to NU10¿
I currently have nu10 from nitecore.
If the plastic it's the same will crack to low temperature close to 0° degrees Celsius.

they claim "ultra lightweight" but their NU25 weighs less while having double the Lumens output... i love the Nitecore brand and all of its products but the lightweight thing is a little misleading to someone actually looking for the lightest Nitecore option. Nitecore should go back to the extremely popular NU25 and attempt to make it even lighter (if possible) in the backpacking community the NU25 is the go to and most people make the headlamp lighter by replacing the headband for a string.

Thanks. This is the info I came here for. My NU25 was swiped from work and I found the NU17 while shopping for the replacement. I am going back to the NU25, I have never seen a brighter lighter headlamp, especially the red LED- perfect for nighthiking in the buggy places I go. I also love that it works while recharging. (With my diy headband my old NU25 weighed 29 grams, but I have an idea to drop that a bit.)
