@@DaveThaumavore you do a great job. Always puting max. afford in your well paced videos. Watched so many of your reviews. You must have put thousands of hours in learning systems and creating the videos. I wonder which one is your most favorite RPG?
Thanks for saying so.@@bAtACt1X I'm always trying to improve my videos, so my latest ones tend to be my favorites. My goal is to make videos that I'd want to watch myself, so my latest ones reflect what I'd currently like to see.
I'm probably going to buy a copy based on the strength of your review! I know it's four years later, but man this helped out a lot! You should check out the new Veil Riders RPG!
I'm glad I found this video. Although late to the party, I'm glad I decided to finally go in on this. Thank you for the informative and educational review!
Such a comprehensive review - I appreciate the attention to detail! (Would have loved to have heard more of your own thoughts/experiences at the end though :P)
Dude this is awesome. Really well put together and edited, and you are great at explaining everything, in a simple and engaging way. By far the best video on coriolis I have come by😀
Great review, and great editing! I joined in with their Kickstarter, and it became my favorite Sci-Fi RPG very quickly. Edit: Based on the sessions we played, the combat can be pretty deadly, due to the critical hit table. A NPC only is able to land a critical hit on a player, if the GM spends a darkness point. And sometimes you will, as the GM, have quite a bit of DP - so be wise to spend them (not only in combat).
I noticed this game a while back during the Kickstarter for the new campaign book, and was sold on the setting alone. I have the core rules and the campaign book coming any day now, and this video was an awesome way to get me stoked for GMing this game
WOW. this was amazingly broken down and explained and direct ! can you do also do rpgs like Villains & Vigilantes, Star Frontiers, Lamentations of the Flame Princess, Fate's Nova Praxis, Savage Worlds, etc?
Do you have any thoughts regarding the latest kickstarter for Coriolis? I'm personally thinking of grabbing it and part of me is thinking of trying to find the original line up of books for fear of them being taken off sale, as they sound like a fantastic read.
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you +like Ive ordered it. :-) I am a big fan of Dune. Just wondering how long space travel takes. Are we talking about instantenous FTL, hours, days, weeks (similar to Firefly) or left open for player interpretation?
I would say the station Coriolis is much closer to Babylon 5 than DS9, both in size and its design/use. While I will not be able to get this game anytime soon, this review will be the reason WHY Iget it. Thank you
I’m not sure if Alien can be played indefinitely, unless you put a lot of effort into adding into the world and doing your research on that front. Coriolis is more fleshed out on the RPG world side of things, and could be a more prolonged playing experience.
Well, I'll give it a try. Thanks!. Oh, and by the way, your reviews are the best ones out there. I really like how you explain the mechanics of each game and how you actually READ THE RULES before giving your opinion. That's truly awesome. I truly hope that your channel get more views and subscribers!
This is one of the best RPG reviews available on Coriolis, congratulations.
Victor Hugo Kebbe Very high praise. Thank you!
I really like this channel’s reviews. They’re really straightforward and easily understood.

Carl-Fredrik L Thank you, sir. Very kind words.

I hardly ever comment on youtube, but this was a *seriously* good review. Audio quality is top notch and editing is also perfect. Subscribed. :)

You sold me on this. Vampire the Masquerade unfortunately never clicked with my friends, but hopefully this does! It sounds so cool.
Good Review. My friend runs this at our games group-it has a good fun system and feels like Cthulhu Firefly .
Hari Seldon That’s awesome. I’m sure you guys have lots of good moments.
I'll definitely use this as the introduction to players before starting a campaign.
Thanks!
Your review is a work of art. Subscribed.

I've got some free league store credit to use, and this is exactly the type of review I needed. Great work!
I swore never to make any comments on TH-cam. But I can't help but commend you on your review. Fantastic job. There, I broke my vow.
Oathbreaker! Thanks!
Thank you for your review. I will watch your other videos just to listen to you some more!
Great review thank you =) is there any digital co tent for this like companion apps etc.
I'm not aware of any first-party companion apps by Free League. They have made a lot of strides in VTTs like Roll20 and Foundry, however.
Dude this is awesome. Really well put together and edited, and you are great at explaining everything, in a simple and engaging way. By far the best video on coriolis I have come by😀
Wow, what an excellent video. Hat off to you sir! Somehow the core boom magically appeared in my shopping cart a second after I stopped watching.
Wow! Having just delved into Forbidden Lands their other rpg's sounds really amazing as well. Excellent review!
I am getting into Symbaroum and both Coriolis and Forbidden lands look cool.
@@JBRocky007 Oh yeah. Symbaroum seems much liked as well. Different game system than most Free League stuff but same high quality.

KarasSteiger That’s pretty interesting. Yeah I guess you’re right about Darkness Points. Space is dark and full of terrors...

Caleb Hall Awesome, I hope you have a kickass campaign!
Great job and review, congratulations. Regards from Spain.

Eldridge Calm Thanks! I’ll have to look each of these up. Definitely Lamentations is on the list.
Your reviews and production quality are amazing!
Thank you!
One of the best and most interesting reviews I've seen in a long time.
These reviews are so well done! Instant subscriber!
Thanks! Now i'm ready to read the book.
This sounds AWESOME. Like a mashup of Dune, Star Wars, and the Metabarons!
Best walkthrough of the game I've seen. Thank you! :)
Nice Review!! I was doubting in acquiring the game... now I'm, really sure to do it
Alonso Cortés Thanks! It’s really a masterpiece in RPG books, like all of Free League’s stuff. Those guys are truly at the top of their game.
Love that video, really cool to discover a great setting as Coriolis. Check the forbidden lands and mutant year zero. ^^
Joe derole oh for sure. I plan on reviewing them as well.

Exactly what I want when I think about reviewing!
I preferred the Alien RPG stress points to the dark points, but it defiitely looks promising.
I don´t tend to comment but your channel and work is amazing! Congratulations.
Very helpful review, thanks!

Another superb review!! So detailed
what we really need is a bit more fiction and a tv show on Amazon

Excellent! What music did you use at 3:45 ? Is this aliens soundtrack?
“Signs in the Fields”
@@DaveThaumavore great thank you. Excellent track
Great video! Thank you!
This is me from the future. This seems very similar to how Aliens works. Seems like they have a very similar back end.
Only now I realize that free league has cranked out lite rulesystems with thick fluff, exactly what I was looking for for a while now ....
No idea if you still look at these comments, but what happened to the second colony ship that was sent out?
It disappeared. Lost, destroyed... or perhaps it will show up in a future official supplement. Better yet, you can come up with what happened to it!
Is this book worth it if I already play Alien RPG with my group?
I’m not sure if Alien can be played indefinitely, unless you put a lot of effort into adding into the world and doing your research on that front. Coriolis is more fleshed out on the RPG world side of things, and could be a more prolonged playing experience.

Holy cow this is amazing.
Love this format.
Great video!
very good review. i wan't this book now !
Hah! The free league.
Success seems to require two-sixes, and critical success three-sixes.
1-2 Sixes is "Limited Success"
3+ Sixes is "Critical Success" (p.55)
Lawrence of Arabia in space: Dune
Wasn‘t Dune Lawrence of Arabia i Space? Or was that Avatar?
