I sooo appreciate you for doing this video. Such a huge help! And another thank you to adding the links to the adapters above, it took the guess work and search time out of finding the products.
So glad that it was helpful! It was the tutorial I felt like I needed a year ago!
I don't have the USB Hub, so I tried with a Dell U3818DW Monitor using it as "USB hub" and It works!!! Thanks
That rocks! I love discovering new technological work arounds!
You are great. I am following you now. Thks for producing great videos.
Thank you!
Thankyou so much I was looking exactly for this video
So glad! Makes me happy that it helped!
This is great! thanks
Thanks a ton!
You're welcome!
Thank you, man! You saved my non-apple adapter to be thrown away )). I tried to connect SanDisk Extreme in a regular way but it has no success. Fortunately, I have a good powered usb hub and your way is working well.
Amazing! So glad I was helpful!
DOES MAC STUDIO OR MAC STUDIO 5K SCREEN HAVE USB HUB BUILT IN ?
does that work with iphone se 2nd generation? i plug it all in but no external device is listed.
Thanks for this! Does this method keep the metadata?
Great question, it does! Give the time of creating, resolution, size all of that. Is there specific metadata you are looking for? I can make sure it keeps that specific info you are looking for.
Do you have the links for the camera adapter and the powered usb drive? They’re missing in the description.
Should be linked now, I thought I did that but must have forgot. Thanks! 🙏
Does using a usbc to lightning cable not work?
It does work IF you have an iPhone 15 or later. If not, you will need to have these adapters to give the SSD or Hard drive enough power to show up on your files.
Great job! Apple still makes it more difficult than it needs to be forcing you down the iCloud path. How are they doing that you may ask? No select all or option to move all of them at once. I have 8,000 and my wife has 22,000 photos :). So far the best solution is to use Amazon photos since we are prime members and it’s free. It is a backup, not a sync like iCloud, so you can delete off your phone and keep them in Amazon photos. I’ve heard I could pay for iCloud, get them uploaded, then from iCloud website on my Mac, export to external SSD. Still working through this but making some progress.
They really make it tricky. So annoying that you can’t “select all”. Let me know if you find an amazing solution!
Thank you ❤
You are very welcome! ❤️
