Its a crime this guy doesn't have 4 million subscribers
Great job...one bit of advice (since you didn't mention it) is that I would absolutely advics having an alignment done by a professional after doing an install like this. Also, that "skid plate/ whatever" is a belly pan. :)
I believe it's referred to as a "Transmission Cross Member." THought I needed to order one a while back. Couldn't find a "Stock Skid Plate. It was listed as a transmission crossmember. Looked right in the picture though. Six weeks out, fixed the one I had, two hours.👍
Another good one. Your welding improves every project!
When you’re done with everything, you should coat inside the frame rails and any corner areas inside the vehicle, wherever you can access with fluid film, or a similar product that will help prevent any rust from continuing
Man the amount of work you have put in on this jeep! Wow. You have made it extremely nice. I think a nice dark green would look cool.
Amazing work, you made this look easy and I know for sure how much it's not! Love this build!
Metallic darker blue with a pearl like coat was one of the coolest Jeeps like yours I’ve seen if you’re considering a color change.
Outstanding and awesome as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
I hope an SYE (Slip Yolk Eliminator) kit for that NP-231J T-Case (Advanced Adaptors makes a good one) along with a slip yolk equipped rear driveshaft (Tom Woods) is in the plan for the future of this build. It will allow you to get the most out of that long arm kit. Nice work! Really enjoying this build. 🙂
I do love you can do attitude, nothing is impossible 😬
Plum crazy purple !!!
Man every time I see those shop lights I just get plain jealous 😢.
As far as color… back in the ‘80s, i had a K5 Blazer that was Gunmetal gray in top and Black on the lower third. It looked incredible. I’ve never seen a Wrangler this color scheme.
Looks like you've done a outstanding job so far, keep up the good work.......................
Please clean and paint those rear drums. As for body paint id like to see a nice candy apple red. It would make it unique. Great work.
Ok ... I've seen lime green or apple green with black accents done and it looks amazing .. it's a head turner...
The bad man gone and done it again folks! Great progress on this ultimate rebuild. A lot of work but it’s paying off. Keep it coming!
Great job on reviving that rust bucket and saving it from a date with the scrapyard! I hope you keep up with labor hours, I'm really curious how many you'll have in it when you're done.
It's looking GR8 Zach!! Excited to see your finished project!
For color choice, since you're in Florida, I'm thinking a Pastel color with a pearl.
For example, Teal, Aqua, Pale yellow, White with any of the previous colors as a pearl.
If Pastel colors aren't your thing, I think a Burnt Orange Metallic, Copper metallic or Rootbeer Metallic would look pretty sick!
I’m glad to see you content with yourself atm. Your heads high, smiling, lookin fresh.
Keep it up Lad and what ever you’re doing can you bottle some up and send it down under to me.
Wheel alignment is a must young fella
Really enjoy your effort and quality of your work ,keep it up .
Burnt Orange for the color and great vid.
If the long arm RC kit takes the same time to settle as my 2.5" RC lift with springs/shocks, expect a bouncy teeth rattling ride about 2k miles, then should smooth out quite a bit. Not quite OE, but just a little firm. Overall it rides way better than what it did with the blown out springs and shocks that had about 190k on them when the lift was put on.
Great video! Love the content and little tips along the way that I can use. Can’t wait to see the final results
Thanks for the time well spent
The Jeep is looking great Zach. I know a lot of people in the comments are suggesting typical Jeep colors and I can get behind that. And if you want to go that route I would go with that new solar yellow, it really pops. But if you want to buck the trend and go with something no other Jeep has then I would recommend going with ruby star. I think the deep magenta color will be absolutely striking and its unlikely you will see another one with the same color.
Its coming along, the rust was so bad.
the lift kit looks great once done and easyish to install.
great work. 2x👍
Mint color would go great imo
Can't help with a colour choice, but I know when your done it will look fantastic. A lot of work and a lot of progress. Can't wait until the next installment.
Exhaust thing plate is actually called Tranfer Case skid plate.
Watching your progress is fun. I rebuilt my first Jeep, a 1961 Willys when I was 16. I'm working on my third now at 70 years old, a 1993 YJ and loving it using many of the same Craftsman tools I bought the first time. Stay tough.
Retro looking Red with white top
How those rear shocks came out without snapping every bolt is amazing! I know the jobs already done but a nice change for the future would have been welding those rear coil perches back on at a better angle for the lift.
Just goes to show you don’t need a big shop to do extensive projects. Btw we need some MERCH brotha! I’d definitely rock an “Ultimate Rebuilds” t-shirt.
What a great video. You sir, have some serious mad skills. Keep up the great work.
Dark deep purple almost black but dark purple would look sick
I think Dodge had a Deep Amethyst Pearl Coat on Dakotas in the 90’s.
You've become a man since I started watching. If I remember right, you're the artist, and I am not, so I'm sure it'll be a fantastic paint job.
Love the longer videos! Great job man this has been one of my favorite builds to follow love the content
Awesome- I love the rust/orange color of your shirt!
That was some pretty good welds on that bump stop/spring perch "Thingy"! Like the previous guy said, your welding is getting much better.
A nice pearlescent OD Green with a black roof would look good.
Nice welds on that spring mount!
As always, great job Zach! Always enjoy your new videos when they come out.
A hint for you to save your clothes is to cut up some of that card board to lay on after you're done cutting with the torch.
Waiting for the tacky door handles & hinges painted in a random color... don't get me started on the ducks lol
Nice work sir! Completely revamped the undercarriage and suspension.
If you have extra bolts, that just means you are better than the engineers. You did it with Less than they did!😅
When u get new wheels get 5x4.5 don’t keep those spacers if u like having ball joints
Barbie Pink and keep the little shoes😅, Jk, Hmm, I see a metallic dark blue in your future with 35s.
I have the same lift kit for my TJ but there were a couple of issues. The track arm extension completely ripped off the axle when performing moderate off-roading. I had to replace it with a new track arm mount from a higher end offroad company out of North Carolina. Second issue was body sway was way worry but can be addressed with upgraded antisway bars for front and back. This is not an issue with rough country. It just physics. The long arm fit does ride better then the short arm version
Love your videos, I have a restorer/modifier/make it better mind like you and I find your ability to keep moving forward inspiring.
Be nice if you could get a mechanics slider so you can avoid lying on the ground when under the vehicle imo.
Awesome work, love it!
Purple!!!
Metallic chocolate brown would look amazing
Great work again Alex really enjoy your channel don't understand why you don't have at least double the subscribers? Introduce all the dogs next video.
I do like the white that it is now but I do like a few of the old CJ colors that Jeep used, There was a forest green that I liked a lot on the old school CJ's same with a dark blue that was used back in the day. This is a great build!!
Matte royal blue!i!
Awesome video again. I was going to say yellow but, since your parents jeep is yellow, that would be stupid. Mine is a chili pepper red (stock color from Jeep but pretty rare for TJs) and I love it. If you're wanting a pretty unique stock Jeep color, that's what I would say. If you're considering anything, I would say a nice, bright metallic flake sky blue.
Patina! So it matches!
Orange will be great
Looks great , paint light blue non-metallic(or pearl) single color. Thanks
Here ya go
Got to love a long arm lift on stock tires. Always makes the Jeep look like it skipped leg day. LOL SYE install is not very difficult.
You did a lot welding. I'm surprised when you cut the rear coil spring top brackets you didn't straighten them up to take the bend out of rear coils.
Awesome video dude!!
Looks great! For paint, I haven’t seen a Destroyer Grey Jeep. 🤔
I like it. your doing agood job. You are thorough. I enjoy your content.
Bit of advice from someone that's lifted a jeep before, get it up to 60-65 MPH to see if you get "death wobble".
Get an alignment ASAP lol.
Lookin good!
You should check on them shocks and make sure they’re mounted right. I think they are on backwards and may cause a rough riding experience.
That back end gonna fall off😂😂😂😂
Red!
GREAT job Zach🔝💯🆒️🤙🏼
Light in my gray and rainy day from Florida!! Thank you man!
Another great video. Really enjoying this build.
Some 35"s would finish it off. My vote for color would be army green
Same colour as springs. Metallic grey with red calipers and everything else black.
For color I say go with a nice pull me over red. They really do stand out.
I’m helping a friend restore a 1977 Bronco and it Is hard work. I know you’re editing the video but until someone tries this kinda work they have no idea the time you are spending on your Jeep.
Great work!
Hi, good job! 😀👍
Nice work as always. 😊
another banger lets go
cranberry metallic
Looking good..cant wait to see ot all done
Nice work bro!
Paint it brown or green and do the Golden Eagle Jeep theme
Very nice
Color suggestion metallic blue or candy blue
Great job Zach !! (Herve from France) 😃
if you get new rims and tires witj thst lift, highly recomend 15"
Sweet
Love your videos, no way is that cat converter gonna make it. Get ready for the 420 code in ECM.
It is coming out so nice! Great job, keep going! A question though, didn’t you paint the shop floor not so long ago? It looked so mint!
👍🏽 On your build - how about Jeep Anvil Grey?
with all the cutting/welding you've done underneath, do you need to get an engineers report to say that it is structurally roadworthy? here in australia pretty sure we need to.
also keep up the great work.
Give it a retro golden eagle paint job
Olive drab and black. Go military stealth
You are hard to get ahold of lol
