Here's some info: "Wind of Change" is a song by West German rock band "Scorpions", recorded for their eleventh studio album, Crazy World (1990). The power ballad was composed and written by the band's lead singer Klaus Meine .The song became associated with the Revolutions of 1989 and the Fall of the Berlin Wall that same year .Klaus Meine said in an interview that the time 1988/1989 in the Soviet Union was characterized by the mood that the Cold War was coming to an end, the music was the unifying factor between the people. The memories of this time are also transported in the music video for the song. Meine was inspired by his participation in the Moscow Music Peace Festival on 13 August 1989, at Lenin Stadium, where the Scorpions performed in front of about 300,000 fans. I find this song wonderfully uplifting at this difficult time. 🙌 💔
Thank you Jack, I'll be sure to request more from this great band.💙

I remember watching the wall fall. I was 23 in 89, a soldier and musician, and this was a supposed signal of the end of the Cold War, Germany's Reunification, and the beginning of a new world of peace; unfortunately we appeared to not get the memo, so look where we are today... right back where we started. The hook in this whole song is a bit hidden but it's "Let your balalaika sing, What my guitar wants to say": in other words, let your voice sing what my voice wants to sing....live in peace as brothers.

This is an “issue” for most music reaction channels. I’m just grateful for Jack Reacts centering Black Music bc many of the channels I sub to keep their distance from R&B. That said, I do support your opinion, mainly so that Jack is thrown a few curveballs which, in turn, reinvigorates him as a reactor. ✌🏽

@@gabrielmcdonnell8699 yes and he did a lot of that so throwing in non-R&B music is good he’s a musical guy too.

@@princerob425Yup. And being a music nerd who never really cared about lyrics (I’ll acknowledge good wordplay and that’s about it), I do appreciate that Jack emphasizes the sound of a song bc for me it’s always been the most integral part. You can have masterful lyrics but it doesn’t mean ish if the music backing it doesn’t hold up its end of the bargain. ✌🏽

Based on the visuals this song is probably about the Berlin Wall coming down among other things.

Thanks, Dana. I like your requests bc they take me out of my R&B/dance comfort zone, reminding me of when I listened to many more genres. “Wind of Change”-metal power ballad royalty, if you ask me-takes me back to freshman yr of college and being employed @ a record store. We played the ish out of the album (alternating it with Queensryche, GNR, Blur, Skid Row, The Cult etc). Not my natural lane but I faked it for the customers.🤓✌🏽

@@e.s.7272That he does. This happens often on all YT music reaction channels and I accept it as nature of the grind of uploading these videos. With the utmost respect, as subs/viewers, _SOME_ of us are under the impression that a music reaction channel is a full scale production company ie that Jack, for example, has an asst, a researcher, a videographer. 😂😂😂 The common thread I’ve noticed (I sub to some 25+ channels) is that they spend a day recording AND have NO time to edit hence the flubs, etc. Did you guys miss Jack killing a cockroach in the middle of one video? 🤣
