    Alcohol withdrawal is potentially life threatening to people who are dependent on it. If medical intervention is not possible the only option would be to slowly reduce until in the clear. ‘Cold turkey’ is never advisable.

    "The Last Samurai" may be good overseas, but it's terrible for Japanese people. Both the outline and the details feel strange.

      interesting? We felt the movie did a great job honoring Japanese culture. At least from an outsider's perspective.

      That's a strange thing to say seeing as it's one of the biggest earners ever in Japan. I feel like some people heard somewhere Japanese viewers didn't like it, but if you look into it I see no evidence.
      The $140 million film grossed $457 million. It became the sixth highest grossing film ever in Japan at the time of its release, grossing $132 million. It received four Oscar nominations.

      not really, hollywood is notorious for appropriating foreign culture, but this film is not an appropriation. most people agree that they did a very good job at honouring the samurai culture. of course not everything will be realistic or history-accurate, but they weren't trying to be disrespectful. moreover this film is LOVED by the japanese people, so who are we to say anything
