    Scottie Pippen puts his all-around game on display in the 1994 all-star game with 29 points (5-9 on threes), 11 rebounds, and 4 steals. The West big men ganged up on Shaq in the paint all game long but Pippen helps him get a little redemption to end the game.

      Yup, and the last 3 title runs, I would argue he was just as good all-around as Jordan. Jordan was out of his prime at that point, but still impressive.

    • @williamkoscielniak7871
      @williamkoscielniak7871 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@bradleyboyer9979 He was better all around in some ways, but MJ's scoring prowess and ability to finish teams off and take over the end of games put him above Pippen as far as overall impact on the court. Pippen was also starting to exist his prime after the '97 season. He was still good for the half of season he played in '98 but he didn't have the same explosiveness as he did in prior seasons. He, MJ, and Rodman were all old and worn down and yet they still found a way to win it all.

      Eaxctly. I think if he had averaged about 3 to 5 more points, the Bulls would have gone to the NBA Finals that year. They needed that ectra svoring thet Jordan provided to be the difference maker over the Knixks

    LOL @ watch the footage. Watch footage of Pippen and you see the total package. Pull-up three, midrange shot off the dribble, bank shot, awesome post game with footwork and an array of moves, slashing and dunking over any big man in his way and MUCH better overall defense. Lebron? You see him bulldozing to the rim or shooting a three, cherrypicking for the same old open court dunk (he never dunks on anyone), and a crap post game with the same old move. Pippen's skills are infinitely better.

    If you knew anything about Bulls history you would know Pippen was the most popular teammate on those Bulls teams. Phil Jackson called him the real leader on the Bulls because the players looked to him for everything on the court and he hung out with them off the court. Jordan was an asshole to his teammates and he and Pippen were basically good cop, bad cop. Jordan tore them down and Pippen built them back up.

      @kobenottop1003 Technically, Shaq started best the big around 96 when ages and injuries caught up with elite big. Prior to 96, Hakeem & Robinson had a field day with Shaq because Shaq could never beat them whenever they played until I say 96, injuries & age caught up while Shaq still younger so he was able to overcome Robinson & Hakeem. Shaq wasn't the big man yet after Robinson decline along with Hakeem. Let's get this perspective straight. Both Hakeem & Robinson won MVP during the Golden Era in their prime and Shaq didn't until afterwards the end of big men dominance Era. That ended with Robinson & Hakeem.

    With the rules now its hard to shut down anybody. You can't use your hands to check and Lebron basically just muscles his way to the rim. He has no finesse about him, he's like a mixture of Pippen and Karl malone. Pippen in that he can create for others, but as a scorer he just muscles his way to the rim, lowering his shoulder and committing offensive fouls that just aren't called these days. He's an athletic freak, but I wouldn't call him a finesse player who uses skill or anything.

    Jordan was 21 when he entered the NBA; Lebron was 19. Therefore you cannot argue "at age 27..." Lebron has nine full seasons NBA. He is a three time MVP, one time Finals MVP, and has one ring. After nine seasons in the NBA (even with a season with only 18 games played), Jordan was a three time MVP, three time Finals MVP, and had three rings.

    to be honest, the 1992 and 1993 Pippen was the best Pippen. He is still beyond a beast here, but some of the things he did in those 1992 and 1993 years were things i havent seen from any other basketball player, including Jordan. Pippen could dribble around everyone and slam it in the centers face. His defense was insane, he would block shots at WILL, take the ball, go down and slam over everyone. Forget top 50, hes a top 25 all timer.

    I don't mean to be one of those guys who knocks the game of today, but if you watch how hard the West played Shaq compared to the layup line dunk fest it's become today, I'd take yesteryear ALL DAY! It's ALOT more exciting to see players get dunked on as opposed to letting everyone just go to the rim uncontested.

    • @LovingTinha

      That's why i don't watch games anymore, it doesn't feel like players are putting real heart into the game, they all just show boating and not even being tested, like every game is a shoot around, very sad to see the NBA get soft like that. Teams have to protect their interests you don't want players getting hurt like D Rose and then cashing in those fat checks without helping the team. Here is an idea, balance the pay between players so there isn't such a lopsided difference between what the best players get paid and role players earn. And let the players play hard.
