MJ is the GOAT
Same Here
Lebron james
No s**t lol
Lebron
But but Lebron was the best player in the NBA for like 3 seasons 10 years ago!!
This would be considered playoff intensity in todays game..
finally something I can watch during this all star weekend
The All-Star Game in the 90s was so much more exciting than today’s game. thank you 🥰
But but but 3 pointer from halfcourt cool
ASG in the 90's was must-see TV
Exactly
@@MadPaperMario 😂 trolling
Can you believe MJ was the first player to have a a triple Double in an Allstar game?
The allstar games back then were not layup lines. The players wanted to compete against the best of the best.
This is during a time when the allstars actually played defense and wanted to actually win the game.
Back when players actually had pride and competed in the All-Star Game
Michael Jordan was among the best players in the NBA before the draft started in the summer of 84’.
By 89’ MJ had two TOP 5 ALLTIME seasons outputs and was arguably the greatest player anyone had seen.
This is before his dynastic runs.
1988 MJ won damn near every individual award. Scoring title, MVP, Defensive Player of The Year, Steals Leader, and so on.
Wow, you really miss and appreciate more the COMPETITIVE basketball back then, especially in the all star game.
MJ all day 🐐
FAVORITE michael jordan fact:
10x scoring champion
9x all defensive 1st team
2x 3peat
DPOY while leading the league in scoring *
@@Supasmoove that too
Led the league in steals 3x as well. Just incredible
Never allowed game 7 in the finals
The greatest of all time period
💯
Lebron 😊

2:26 look at Rolando Blackman actually trying to deny Michael Jordan in the All Star Game. YES THIS USED TO HAPPEN IN THE ASG FOLKS! Now its just a layup line drill.
🐐 If you witnessed it, its NO DEBATE!!!!
Each All Star game J and Isaiah played their connection on the court was unbelievable. Isaiah was once quoted that if he played with J they would have won multiple championships. Isaiah's jealousy prevented this from ever happening.
The very reason why those were the Golden Years Period in every Art form Basketball Hip-hop etc and Salute to kinfolk Michael Jordan✅
Sad they beefed. Isiah and Mike would have been the most unstoppable backcourt in history
That's true, but mj refused to back down, even when the pistons had the Jordan rules he just got up and went at them again
MJ was a literal BULL. once he sees RED. he won't stop charging.
and Isiah was a HOUND. would literally bite you whenever he sees a chance.
Man was averaging 19 a game before the all star break his rookie year then bumped it to 28.2 Dammmnnnn! Thank you Zeke, Iceman!!!
False, the 1985 all star game is his second year in the league, He was injured 3 games into the year and played on limited minutes, so he only was able to average 19.5 a game cause of his limited minutes.
@@YEGGS_1No that's happen in MJ second year in 86.
Ikr, that's crazy!
@@YEGGS_1 false!!! His rookie year is the 84-85 season he was injured his second season.
I noticed that too but the graphic was actually wrong in the video - MJ was averaging 27.4 points before the 1985 Allstar game. He picked it up to 29.3 after the Allstar break to finish with an average of 28.2.
Thank you FreeDawkins! We need to be reminded why MJ was so great!
Watching this made me realize. How dope Isiah n Jordan or penny n Jordan would’ve been as a team especially Isiah fr
15:37 these kind of sequences are making me miss the late 80s and early 90s NBA.
Bro, your videos are gold.
Look at the intensity, that’s what fans want to see, the best players competing. Not that 200 points dumpster fire played by dudes who don’t want to be there.
6:43 Brad Daugherty was one of the most underrated players of that era. One of the best passing bigs during that era.
Sucks he had back issues
I Miss *Defense* In The *ASG’s*
& I Definitely Miss *MIKE* 💯
1988 Michael Jordan was really something special, not that he wasnt any other year but that year his physical abilities were on full display the guy was superhuman. He got better skillfully every year after, but physically he was absolutely insane in the 1988 game.
How can ANYONE get compared to Michael Jordan? He is the goat 🐐
See, this is what I'm talking about. REAL All-star bball!!!
Damn Thomas can really throw dimes!
Isaiah and Mike have mad beef but their link up play was AMAZING!!!! them on the same team😮
My goodness, didn't know 'plumbers' could play so well and entertaining.
All-Star game in the 90's and early 2000's are way more exciting than today's ASG. You'll really see the defense and competitiveness of all the stars, yet they still had fun.
The current NBA All-Stars along with the current commissioner should be forced to watch this! It's no secret why today's all-star weekend is terrible! Granted Michael is 61, but all of the best players were out there giving a genuine effort! Today's NBA doesn't come close to what we saw here!
The 37th All Star Game was INSANE!! Oh and MJ is the 🐐!!!
9:52 I can tell you no matter how much hatred Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan carries for each other, that sequence would always be special because that a Chicago native throwing the ball to a Chicago sports legend for the dunk. They stole the show in 1988.
Listen to those crowds.... People actually loved the All Star games!
No wasted movements, no million dribbles for players during this era. So satisfying to watch
Throw back allstar games they ballin 4real 😊
From playing with Dr. J, Magic, Bird all the way through all the 90s up to Dirk, Kobe and Iverson Jordan truly did his thing against all greats, and just got better and better every season.. let’s stop normalizing this goat debate.. this video proves its MJ then everybody else…
17:08 lmao "that does not look easy to ANY mortal!"
This is amazing! Thanks for posting more footage of the GOAT! 🐐
under the rim reverse lay ups godam unstoppable 🐐
Goat 🐐
The look bird gave barkley after that buzzer beater. 😂
His layups were scarier than his dunks.
When the all star game was sumn special ✌🏾
They was playing hard (pause)they were going at each other
4:39 what a game!
❤❤❤❤❤ thank you for posting this. O.M.G. OG. 😎 😎 😎. You see the growth every appearance. Right on with the right on.
Those guys played with pride
39:17 watching this back, you cant help but get emotional that Kobe is the one who is no longer here with us.
When Allstar Games played defense. Jordan played those games like they were playoff games.
They all did. Pride, beefs, egos, fame, will to win, everything was thrown in there.
Wow thanks freedawkins. These are some good quality/resolution videos.
45 spectacular minutes to start an amazing day. Appreciate that.👌
44:17 if only Jermaine O'Neal did not foul on that shot.
damn I forgot how stacked that 96 East team was.. gotta be one of the greatest all-star lineup
25:45 what vision by Terry Porter.
Isiah and MJ played so great together
The goat 1000 years from now.
The NBA Finals isn’t as competitive nowadays as the ASG back then 😂
Today nba allstars should watch this game
90's era....... The best basketball.........
The recently concluded All-star game was a joke compared to these games. These are purely competitive and exciting..
6:14 one of the best individual games in All Star game history.
The all star jersey he played in his rookie season and then his last game in the all star game is monumental. This man was the beginning and the end of basketball. This era of basketball has great lazy talent and sit out during games when most of them are not even hurt but a charity case. Pretty sad. R.I.P. to the NBA and David Stern! 😢
Thank u so much for this I love it
14:24 what a pass by Isiah.
They should make today's players watch these highlights before the all-star game, and maybe give them bonuses for keeping the other team's points or opposing player's points under certain thresholds. Maybe that would help revive some excitement and competition in these games.
They just suck to watch now
The GOAT 🐐
8:17 great pick and roll action with a tough screen by Larry Bird. Would have been a great tandem them two.
Jordan and Thomas was daaaaangerous
Excellent! and no one injury
Without a doubt MJ is the G.O.A.T
23🐐
Michael Jordan The Greatest The Goat 🐐
Bro the undisputed 🐐
The '88 All Star Game is G.O.A.Ted
Jordan made the All-Star team as a starter in his rookie season, almost averaged 30ppg that year, and won Rookie of the Year.
@39:18 😢 big brother to little brother 🐐 + 🐍
And they said we were done with the 90s 😂. The comment section shows me, not all is lost. Thanks for the upload man- keep it coming!
Ironically, that trend came about while people were hyped for X-Men '97. And now, even younger generations are enjoying the show.
Ah, yes- when high scores were the exception to just All Star Games and it wasn't because the "all stars" were letting each other score but rather because the players were really good even with the high intensity defense. And there were hard fought rivalries, and not just players showing off if they can shoot from half court.
The modern All Star Game is truly pathetic in comparison.
MJ was a mutant!!! GOAT!!
35:54 and 36:35 ultimate teacher showing the student moments
The 80s & 90s all star is competitive compare today's all star
MJ mentality never lose
That rediclous shot over marion all over him in '03 and in o.t. it's my favorte all star game by far...makes todays era look like a joke.
the battle of the best of the best players in the game!
I'm pissed after watching this. They are actually playing defense. Just proves how soft today's nba is
This the real all star game!!!
looking back to today's Allstar game........🤔
The West were something else. ❤ gimme
Normally always been...it's a big deal 4 me when the East win.... im from the CHI...
Jordan. Kobe. Curry. Lebron. ✊🏾
He was the Caitlin Clark of his time.
All star every yr of his career
"but they can't catch Jordan.'
Correct.
MICHAEL JORDANNNN
Look at the defense being played....... Imagine that an all star game where players wanted to win .
These cats were hoopin!
*Let's give leflop his goat name and call MICHAEL "HIS AIRNESS" JORDAN THE GOD OF BASKETBALL!*
this is better all star game, than todays NBa All star game more competitive
23:13 i forgot how sweet Isaiah Thomas was!!! Smh its all about him like ah lil Diva!!!!!
88 All Star game proves we've never seen a better player on a basketball court.
