Truly, he should take a look at positive videos like this one and realize that he has nothing to prove to anyone. He can be proud of himself for what he has done in life, without clashing others to make himself look better. I understand he has fallen on hard times, being broke and having his ex-wife engaged with MJ's son... But he needs to outgrow these, move on and focus on something he enjoys in life. It doesn't matter what, coaching a school team, being involved in a meditation circle, doing art... Just anything not involving dwelling in the past, as being defensive about does nothing but turn off his last sympathizers.

i agree with most of what pippen says. he was overlooked a lot. and under appreciated. even when mj was retired. bulls were paying his salary....... while pippen still got pennies on the dolar for his value. pippen is a HoFer. highly ranked player top 50 or higher i am no expert. but yea in his prime he was amazing.

They took Detroit to 6 games and Detroit swept LA. They were second best team in the nba but Scottie couldn’t handle the physicality and mental head games in those Detroit series. 9 ppg vs them in 1989. That’s a fact. Living in the Pacific NW it was great to be a basketball fan. Even when the Sonics &/or Blazers weren't all that good, the NBA brought some of the greatest players of all time to town. Getting to see Scottie and Michael playing, albeit beating, "my team" (Sonics) or "those guys" (Blazers), it was pure joy to watch.
Hopefully our kids will get to see the return of the Sonics. They'll sit in the stands with our grandkids and tell them about how they saw "The Glove" guard "The GOAT", and how grandad saw Kareem (before he was Kareem😉) and Oscar "The Big O" Robertson (Milwaukee Bucks) against the Sonics. The passing of these memories are so important to keep the game alive.

What Jordan said summed up what I saw when they played. Michael was the one who toughened up Pippen . Like he said he had Scottie's back if anything popped off . Playing with a guy like Jordan he had to raise his game on both sides of the ball . When Jordan first retired after his father died , Scottie to me like played like he was just one of the guys and remember Scottie sitting on the sidelines looking into the TV camera pointing at his Jordan sneaker and motioning with his finger for Michael to come back . If Scottie never played with Michael he wouldn't be half the player he became . You can take what Isiah Thomas says ,like a grain of sand . Everybody knows he hates Jordan and the feeling is mutual . He still has sour grapes over not being on the Dream Team but that's the price you pay for being a lead Bad Boy .

Michael’s unprecedented competitiveness goaded Scottie into pushing his own limitations and in the process Pippen fought through his own demons and became one of the all time greats he otherwise wouldn’t have become, which I think is why people like Charles Barkley and Oakley resented him; because in a universe where Michael Jordan wasn’t there to rage every day at Scottie to toughen up or be left behind... comfort and complacency would have contained Pippen to a still talented yet eventually forgotten player among the many in NBA history.

Scottie Pippen is most def the goat a very athletic and versatile playe who impacted the game and not from scoring. Defense and playmaker he was very much over looked because of who he played with. His perspective on MJ is his experience of playing with and being around MJ people on the outside don't know what was said and done behind the scenes. And he felt disrespected by MJ and the last dance. And in 1991/92 scottie pippen came to Paul Robeson Hs and visited us in the Englewood area that meant the world to us frfr so salute PIP

I just watched the 93 Knicks series. Scottie literally won that series. He blocked Charles Smith twice in the last sequence of game clean. He scored 29 in game 3 when Jordan couldnt buy a shot all game and finished with 22 points and Bulls were down 0-2. He also got Horace, Will Perdue, BJ and Paxson involved in that game and the supporting cast won game 3. Pippen and Grant won game 6 after knicks lost their spirit. MJ willed the bulls to that 6th championship and carried most of the load that year if not all of it. No question. But because that is the last thing we saw, we forget that pippen won them some other series in those 6.

I think him hearing “sidekick” so much now, the wife situation, the Last Dance that seemed to focus on him suffering in games and unable to come through like Mike did, as well as the fact that in all the years of flashbacks they never showed what Scottie did when Michael decided to retire and really show off how complete a player he was. The majority of his career he seemingly was taken advantage of by management. When the team was finally his and it should’ve been “Give Scottie the ball and clear out”, they ran a play for Toni. He should’ve been IN that game regardless, but I could see why someone who is a pretty private and quiet person might finally burst. I love the man and he’s brought me so many great moments along with those Bulls and I’ll always respect what he did for me and the city of Chicago.

Pippen was more than Robin. He was the gel. And I wish the Last Dance talked more about the team and showed us how special Pippen was instead of focusing on his contract and focusing on him not playing because Kukoc get to shoot the last shot. I thought that was unneccesary since it wasn't even in that season, it was the season that MJ went to play baseball and Pippen was taking that team alone to the Eastern Final and almost won. I mean, if MJ was going to rub salt into Pippen's wound, and talk about old stuff, it was unfair to not talk about the achievement of Pippen in that year MJ was gone. It was unfair, out of all the great things Pippen did that season, MJ picked on that mistake by Pippen which everyone already forgotten but MJ picked it back up and reminded everyone. And Pippen told him as a man to ask MJ not to put it in, MJ did it anyway because he needed the documentary to glorify himself, which wasn't neccessary because we already know how great he is. The Last Dance was just too MJ centric. MJ did it to make people forget how great Pippen was that year MJ retired and pulled Pippen down, and Pippen was the best teammate MJ ever had who made those Championships possible. Without Pippen, MJ might get a few MVPS but not final or championship to be the GOAT.

Only Rookie Kukoc that was still getting better, and only Grant. The Knicks were stacked up with All stars. Portland didn't have a great scorer. Horace or Dennis were gonna have their games. The rest of the team were gonna role-play like they were hired to do. But if Scottie had a bad game, the Bulls were gonna lose. And when he was on, they were unbeatable. But Scottie wasn't consistent. He was fucking great, but he was mercurial and couldn't deliver every game.
