Another superb video. I have to chuckle everytime a dirty train arrives you comment that could do with a clean. I think they should make you in charge of getting them washed lol. Thank you for once again posting a great video. Look forward to the next one. Stay safe out there
I would be a millionaire if I was in charge of cleaning these trains seeing as every day they seem to accumulate more and more dirt wherever they go haha!
At the that time the wash plant at Norwich was being replaced with a new one and most where cleaned by hand. Plus with the RHTTs in action there do get quite filthy
Great Video as always my friend... Ipswich was one of the the stations I was hoping to visit this year but not to be never mind there is always next year same with a lot of other stations keep up the good work and stay safe
Thanks very much, this is a great station to come to. Especially when the freight was as frequent as this. Coming on a weekday is definitely the best time to come down here in my opinion
Great video and I live in Ipswich! I can't wait until back onto the trains again as I am keeping myself safe. A lot have change since I been on the station which was February 2020!
I've seen a 56 and a pair of 66s hauling what I believe to be old rails and ballast up the Cumbria Coast line today, I presume because of the upgrades between Sellafield and Millom. One of the most interesting Sundays I've had in little St Bees.
I must say!! Greater Anglia are lit with their plans but they can't maintain their regional rolling stock lol!! Also damn!! That horn from that 86 was brilliant.
Greater Anglia seem to have this inept ability to keep their rolling stock clean. I think they need to have a word with Network Rail to get the GEML cleaned up, it has to be one of the dirtiest mainlines in the UK
@@Tornado922 I thought the ECML was the dirtiest lol!! Rusty brown Catenary masts all over, the 313s (in the past) in a tragic state, some station not well maintained etc. Brookmans Park and Knebworth. Then again you spectacular stations like Finsbury park, Hitchin (That station be bitchin' 😁) Alexandra Palace, Peterborough and almost any LNER owned station (wink wink at Newcastle, Darlington etc.)
hi J anothere great vid mate yes the 755s do look chatty only takes 10 mins through the coach wash not hard is it . nice to see the 86s still doing the rounds i love them Can remember them from the 70s/80s speeding up/down the w c m l all on passenger duties thanks for sharing J including the waffle lol keep safe mate A T B Syd
Thanks very much, I still remember seeing the 86/87 and 90's running up and down the WMCL back in the days of Intercity and Virgin Trains, back when we had proper trains running around the national network
_ “When these container trains are going slow, they seem to be never ending”. 29 cars, probably 2000 ft. Check out one of the USA rail cams with 18,000 foot container trains.
I've seen plenty of footage of the American Container trains before, they truly amaze me at their length, let alone the overall weight of those trains. In the UK are freight traffic is miniscule in comparison
It seems to be a thing with the intercity services on the GEML, even when the 90/MK3 sets were running around you would always find a huge amount of dirt built up on the 90o regardless of the direction of travel
Great video. 9:04 the 455s have changed a lot. I didn't even know Greater Anglia had them. that 455 looked like a 755. Did Greater Anglia just have 455s running from Ipswich to Cambridge and back?
Thanks very much, this was only the second time that I had seen the pink 66, the first time I saw it was when I was at Southampton Airport Parkway a few years ago
Thanks very much, I would have thought that they have given it a look at some stage, I can only assume there must be some infrastructure issues somewhere along the line that would prevent them for electrifying the line. But I agree it would make sense for them to do so
Watched it last night and was very enjoyable as always Tornado922. Had no idea they would swap the 86's for class 66's. Guessing the line to Felixstowe isn't electrified?
Great video, the 90 you would’ve seen in the LHS would’ve been 90011 as it’s been doing Driver Training runs from Ipswich to Norwich over the last few weeks.
I don't really go for tones anymore to be honest, during my early years of filming I would try and get some tones from the drivers but now I'm just happy for them to do it if they see fit to do so
I've just looked on RealTimeTrains for the current timetable and it only looks like it has 5 trains every hour so I don't think I would go there I'm afraid, but I appreciate the recommendation
hi great video. love the 86s did not know there were so many about.the class 66 in pink, what clown came up with that colour sycheme. its dreadful.the new emu's are far too modern for us.never the less they should be kept clean not dirty so i suspect clown activity at the depot.come back Anglia Railways and the mk2d coaches etc
Another cracking video from tornado. The knowledge of George Bradshaw & voice of Alan Partridge. Keep up the good work sir. 😁😃
Thank you kindly!!

You certainly had an interesting time up there then! Last time I saw a 56 it was top and tailing with a class 60 for DC Rail

That freight train was never ending lol 😂
At one point I thought it was doing a large loop haha
Great video 👍

Those 745's and 755's seem to be dirt magnets compared to pretty much everything else that Greater Anglia operates, never seen trains get so mucky

Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, the line from Ipswich to Felixstowe is indeed unelectrified
Can hear the slight muffle in your voice from the face mask, glad your staying safe Jarred and fantastic video as always!
At first it was weird getting used to having the facemask on when I was filming all those months ago but now I don't really notice it all that much
Great to see 66587 with the Pink livery but I prefer the orange livery.
Its nice to see Freightliner running around with some different colours, the pink 66 certainly stands out from the crowd

Are the 321 trains nice to sit in as I hadn’t been on one
Thanks very much, I find the 321's to be very comfortable to sit in
I also recreated Ipswich on transport fever 2
Nice
think the is a washer problem with the new trains the angel of the tublehome is too steep ? So due we know if the 86 are getting referbed ?
From what I can understand the fleet of 86's are going to be getting a heavy overhaul so they will remain in service
If you can't go to Newhaven Town, can you go to Stansted Airport on The WAML ?
