I wish you could turn mythic wildcards into rare wildcards. Rares eat the most wildcards after all, and mythics tend to be more kooky than efficient. I would prefer the ability to squeeze 2 rares out I of a mythic, but I think that's far too optimistic a feature from wotc. 😅
I didn't like the 1000 gold per pack for like 8 cards when it should have been maybe 500 gold
Now converting WCs is what I wanted
1 MWC = 3 RWC
1 RWC = 6 UWC
1 UWC = 9 CWC
You should be able to trade uncommon for commons and then common for rares same for the other🤔
Good advice for new players. On ranked play, you don't have to "achieve" bronze rank. All you have to do is play one game in ranked each season, win or lose, and you will be ranked at least bronze for that season. So, everyone should play (win or lose) at least 1 ranked game per season to get a free pack (you could just start a game and auto concede). Also, for players that choose not to draft, don't let that free premier draft token from the MP go to waste, but be sly about how you use it and when you play your games. Each set usually spans 3 ranked seasons (calendar months), so the premier draft you enter with your token can span those three months as well as long as you don't complete the event. You play at least 3 games, so you can spread those games out by playing 1 game in each of the months the set spans and get limited ranked in 3 seasons with a single token, so you get 3 free packs rather than 1. For example, MKM started in Feb, so you could start a MKM premier draft in Feb, play just one game and get ranked for Feb. Then play one game in March and get ranked for March. Then play one game in April (before the new set drops) and get ranked for April.
If you're going to be totally F2P, you really have to quick draft. I did this for a long time and never had any trouble earning my gems for the MP each set (+ a bunch extra) and I am ~ 47% win rate (rare drafting) player on average in Qdraft. I just don't care for the time pressure and results-matter stress of quick drafting to earn my MP each set. I was sitting on a stash of 9000+ gems when golden packs were introduced and I switched to no-draft mode. On set completion, I'm getting pretty similar results as I was with quick drafting, but now I'm spending down my gems. When the time comes, I think I'll be fine spending money on gems to buy the MP for each set. If not, I'll go back to quick drafting.
One note on production... @8:00 that slow background zoom was making me nauseous. Anyone else?
Even better, play Magic 2014 with mods.
You're welcome.
Amazing collection of information.
Thank you so much for posting this.

That was very informative yet casual video loved it!!
Great video. Wish it was release before my break from magic.
Usually i like sticking to naya color when selecting card.
I just started playing mtga, after not playing any sort of mtg (offline or online ) for 10 years. This is a very good resource on starting out.
It would be great if they brought the MTGO mechanic where you can enter a draft with 3 packs. I would love to play a prerelease and get 2 drafts in with my code on arena or a free draft with the set code each set.
Something worth noting. Bo1 constructed events aren't a bad way to convert gold into gems. I'm someone who loves drafting (but I'm only average at it). So running constructed events every time I hit 2.5k gold allowed me to draft more frequently with a lower win rate. Additionally, you can also get packs from constructed events which will allow you to win more consistently thus converting more gems to gold, aka, more drafts, lol. Mono red is a good way to get your feet wet in these events. Then you can slowly upgrade to something better like the humans deck or some Ux control deck.
Good guide
Thank you for divine MTG financial advice.
Tried to import the deck but it says Roast not found?
The codes from Dicebreaker don't work for me. Not a single one. Although I'm more than sure I haven't redeemed any of those, it always says that the code in question was already redeemed. No dice here. :(
Great video
I agree. I think it's so good that seasoned arena players can get entertainment from it. Some possible knowledge, too. 😄
Used to be, you could trade your unwanted cards to someone for cards that you wanted. In digital format, they locked out this standard feature of the game due to greed and a total unwillingness to give their player base any compelling reason to continue playing.
Where can I see how long the season pass last?
It should show you on the mastery pass tab. It ends right when the new set drops, which I’m pretty sure is early August
@@casualrob one more question. Do you play Brawl and can make a cheap but good deck as well? Love your vids man.
I don’t play Brawl much, sounds like it’d be an interesting challenge though. Thanks for watching!
How do tell what the rarity of the card ?
The color of the emblem next to the cart type like creature Murphy and then I'll have like kind of like an orange or bronze colored emblem which tells you it is a rare
I would love to do Events, BUT it costs Gems! Which is BS!
Wrong on one thing- you need less wins in premier draft to get a ROI. Quick draft has really poor rewards compared to premier draft as well.
It's double the cost though so you get less rares/mythics and fill up your duplicates etc.
Saving gold packs for new sets is ok
Free to play life is pretty hard, u can take from 4-5 months to gather enough wildcards in order to build a tier 1- tier 2 deck in a format. Playing regularly.
I know people complain about the MTGA economy, but honestly, compared to paper magic, it's so much better. In real life you have to pay for every card you want to play with. But here you can get so much just from playing the game. At 1000 coins to buy a booster pack, each completed daily quest is equivalent to something like 5 bucks towards buying a pack from a store. Not to mention the existence of wildcards. If you want a specific card irl, you either gotta go out of your way to buy it from a third party, or you keep buying packs til you get it.
Yeah but at least you OWN the physical cards and will always have access to them. Arena will eventually get shut down.
@@dailybugle2147 arena won't get shut down unless MTG as a whole dies. At that point all the cars will also be worthless
@TheCarnivaI that last point is wrong. So long as people keep collecting, the cards will always keep a value of some form.
I was given my first deck by a friend when he wasn't using it anymore. Wouldn't have gotten into the game otherwise. No this is not better.
Great video whit many useful tips .
One point i disagree whit ...
--PLEASE DON'T ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO PLAY MONO RED I'M SO FED UP WHIT FACING THAT RETARDED DECK
"Best format in Magic..." That is entirely subjective. Frankly, I think it's one of the worst.
I think it was pretty obvious he was just stating his own opinion...
@@kasrkinable RTFC. Don't use objective language if you're being subjective, which I didn't think he was, though
Thanks for your opinion.
