Excellent demo between Snap on and Texa. Trying to get a change to the P1000 just because you cannot get your work done is of little concern to Snap on. I have to agree that Texa will make a very timely effort to keep your work going smooth if you wanted the same change or update to the Texa unit. BTW, when you did the idle control test I think you should have hit the confirm AFTER changing the number then I believe it sends it to the bike. Just sayin. Looking forward to your next video and thanks again for taking tome to share that info.
Just for info, 2017 RG is Throttle by wire which eliminates the IAC, so you cannot test it. Having said that, I would expect the P1000 to be able to differentiate between bikes and not propose a test you cannot do...
So in the two videos I've watched, it's been nice to see their capability when going after the 2 most robust diagnostic systems out there, honestly, it leaves them at a draw. Most every other motorcycle manufacturer has a very simplistic system where a simple monochrome screen is more than adequate. My only hesitance with the P1000 would be: if those other manufacturers decide to modernize tomorrow, the Texa software has room to grow on it's windows PC, the P1000 does not.
I am not a technician by any means but I do have a basic scanner, most vehicles and scanners will show generic tests and not everything is customised for every variance of vehicles. for example HD M8 engine does actually have Air / Water cooled in the ultra limited and CVO options. The biggest problem is he is not trained on the p1000 unit and is guessing his way through things as he states he is not a trained technician. this makes it a bit bias towards the one he has been working with for a while.
Went to a shop to program my fobs. The fobs are paired to my bike but the keyless start didn't want to function. The tech did it in front of me 3 times nothing happened
Hi Special K, That's unfortunate. Do you know if the Tech called our technical team. It's very possible that the unit is not up to date. We'd love to help you any way we can (855) 839-2626
I bought the p1000 a little while back, I thought because it was snap on it would be a good product, I was wrong, I hooked this up to 4 different bike, all 4 bike came back with failed to connect, after the second and third time trying to get this to connect it did connect on 3 bikes the forth never connected , the forth bike had a f1 light gsxr 600 the p1000 came up with no code, I tried it again, still no code, so i hooked up my mini toggle switch to the data port and turned on the ignition and got a c22 code ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE SENSOR, I replaced the sensor and the bike was fixed, I have not use the p1000 sense, i told the snap on driver the problem I was having and all he could say is gee Richard i don't no what to say, I talked to another snap on driver he said it may need to be updated, I just bought it how could it need to be up dated, IF YOU CAN NOT TRUST YOUR DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT IT NOT WORTH HAVING, BE WEAR, AND NO IT DOSE NOT DO ANY DIRT BIKES OR UTV OR QUADS
@@CEASUSA from the offset it's negative about the snap on with comments "what I really don't like" I'd say the texa would be better tested against another tester in real world setting like what I do with Bosch units
Snapon allows motorcycle coverage on other platforms of their scantools ,you would need to purchase the motorcycle adapter

On my navigator the idle control works great, and also you forgot to mention that in some Bikes there are diagrams that you can use!!!
Hi Jose, We covered that in the first TEXA Vs P1000 video on a Ducati, Have a look th-cam.com/video/pfy_k4Bve48/w-d-xo.html

Sorry to hear that Rick. Cutting Edge is always happy to help with TEXA Bike!
MS80 vs TXB - plees
Very good question. I just bought the MS80 but I haven’t registered it yet, so I can’t say anything about it.
Great job
Thanks Jeremiah!
This guy is Really bad at doing a impartial video
Hi Kevin, What part of the video upsets you that you don't agree with?

@@kevinrichardson5955 Thanks for your feedback, we plan on doing some more comparisons very soon!
