when you hear that " klack klack klack" sound while window being fully closed, teeths on the mechanism are stripped, so you either replace the whole mechanism with motor or u can try and MIG weld those missing teeths back on. worked for me. .
Nice video Mark! I'd like to say my experience with my P38 has been less tumultuous but I've had to do most of what you've had to do haha. It's running great now though long may it last !😊
@@12vNation nope no dash removal needed, just side covers and you can gain access from passenger side to the heater core to replace O-rings/ leaking there will be a drop or 2 hanging from the pipes. this is what caused my coolant leak and as said in video I had to top it up approx 100ml per month. after the fix, I did not top it up the for 18 months
@@12vNation no need to disassemble anything. take a flash light, make yourself in the passenger floor space and look at the hoses/pipes to heater core. 1 will have blue temperature sensor clipped onto it. It usually drops where pipe meets the heater core

can not imagine you never experienced the heater core leak. I had to replace the O-rings twice.
@zochpeter oh man, that sounds like a dashboard removed kind of job. Thank goodness I haven't dealt with that.

@zochpeter oh yes, gotcha. I can smell coolant sometimes in the cabin. That's probably what it is.

@zochpeter I'll take a look for sure.
Coolant leaks through the o rings in the heater matrix
