came to see the section of trail around Ottawa... booo... lol
@@OGTylerP it pains me, but we had to skip that big dip , and Dan needed to see Timmins.
I've been waiting for this episode! I'm pretty gutted (though I"m sure not as much as you were) that you didn't get to finish the Sask leg of the trip. My dad (just turned 90) is from Tisdale and my mom (not far behind dad) is from Turtleford area. I grew up in Saskatoon but I'm an expat living in AB now like so many are. I'm planning on doing the Saskatchewan portion of the TCAT next summer solo as a way to celebrate 50 laps around the sun. Saskatchewan holds a pretty special place in my memories and I've been feeling nostalgic lately. Hopefully you guys are able to pick up where you left off and finish the rest of the trip too. Also...I am in awe that you guys did the trip on 250's. Serious kudos to you for that. I'll be on a big bike. Better on the highway, but nowhere near as capable off the pavement as your little bikes are. Really enjoyed your videos, thanks for taking the time to put them up.
Awesome! Thanks for the bio, I'm sure you'll enjoy that ride for your 50th. I honestly can't wait to get back to Saint Albert and pick up where we left off with a fresh bike and another 30 to 40 days to finish the trip. Dan bought a drone this year, so that'll give us some new camera angles moving forward. I can't wait for some more tumbleweeds, fried chicken, and burnt coffee!
Love this series!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
One more vid until we get back on the trail next summer. We are currently planning the dates. I'm glad you are enjoying it. 👌
can not imagine you never experienced the heater core leak. I had to replace the O-rings twice.
@zochpeter oh man, that sounds like a dashboard removed kind of job. Thank goodness I haven't dealt with that.
@@12vNation nope no dash removal needed, just side covers and you can gain access from passenger side to the heater core to replace O-rings/ leaking there will be a drop or 2 hanging from the pipes. this is what caused my coolant leak and as said in video I had to top it up approx 100ml per month. after the fix, I did not top it up the for 18 months
@zochpeter oh yes, gotcha. I can smell coolant sometimes in the cabin. That's probably what it is.
@@12vNation no need to disassemble anything. take a flash light, make yourself in the passenger floor space and look at the hoses/pipes to heater core. 1 will have blue temperature sensor clipped onto it. It usually drops where pipe meets the heater core
@zochpeter I'll take a look for sure.
when you hear that " klack klack klack" sound while window being fully closed, teeths on the mechanism are stripped, so you either replace the whole mechanism with motor or u can try and MIG weld those missing teeths back on. worked for me. .
Awesome, I might try that instead of looking for a replacement.
One might say you got screwed over in Dildo...
Oh yeah, we got bent by the weather, the hotels, and coffee shops. Haha
What season are you doing this, more rain again😮💨 🤣🏍💨🤙
Lol... If I could go back in time, I'd have bought a diving dry suit.
@@12vNation Guess I should pack my dry suit too 🤣
Honestly, I had one of those plastic onesies a few years back. Those things are perfect for a trip like this. I wish I had one with me. They pack down really tight as well. A total solution for cold rainy days.
Hello 😊
Hi Ava!, do you want to go to Manitoba??
@12vNation yessss
OK, I binge watched your TCAT video"s and I can see this is quite the challenge ride based on all the unexpected surprises that keep popping up. I'm planning to do the TCAT around May/June 2025 (if all things go well with my timing). Hope to see the remainder of your videos before my departure. Thanks for posting.
Nice! Yes, there will be a few more vids , then we will have to finish the trip next summer. ( hopefully). Which way are you planning to ride the trail?
I'm from Toronto so I'll probably do East to West. I'll also be on a larger bike than what you have.
It's definitely a monster of a trip. I hope the weather is better for you, and to think we have just under half of the distance yet to travel. Crazy.
Awesome. This pass is on my mapped list for next year. Subbed.
@@AlternativeTongue I hope you enjoy it.
What trail is that?
Flathead pass/ Crossing creek
Good job u got so many sub's 🎉😀
wicked video buddy! some day ill be able to joinyou in a wicked venture i hope!
@LostVentures Hey! I'm glad you're enjoying the video. Absolutely, I hope you get the message when we send out the call for the next big trip.
@12vNation hopefully! I gotta know good while in advance so I can plan accordingly lol
@@LostVentures definitely, 4 to 6 months is the usual for us.
Hello
👋👋
That P38 looks mint, what coil springs are you using, eg: plus 2inch?
Plus 2" springs and 3" body lift. Plus 4" compatible Tera Firma adjustable shocks.
Coolant leaks through the o rings in the heater matrix
@@BLUESBOYBENFIELD Could be where it all goes for sure.
Great trip!
Thanks, it sure was.
Love the song and the general attitude!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Couldn't find one here in Alberta. But I managed to get a CRF300L without ABS. A little pricey but what are ya gonna do.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
My CRF 250L Rally with some air mods is like this one I bet 😏.I'm looking for a 300 , kinda scarce, gonna have to travel to get one.
Still scarce, hey? I had to travel 300kms to buy the last one in the Kootenays last spring. Next option was Alberta, but they were running out too.
@@leeinwis I bet the 250 Rally with some mods would be very similar.
Totally admire your tenacity to press on regardless! Not really what I think of as beer drinking weather either...and I'm a Canuck!
Oh man, those few days will go down as some of the toughest days of my life. I literally took one step at a time and ignored everything else. We made it through and just kept everything together. Real character building stuff.
Absolutely pinning it! What a great road to do it on! Incredible scenery! Just another reason to love my CRF Rally Am curious, what speed did you get it up to? (It looked like around 120-130kms/h ?)
I tagged 156kph at one point and a few times over 150. That's on the speedometer. But average was definitely between 120 and 130.
@@12vNation 150kph! 🤩 WoW! I was thinking maybe upto 140-ish But 150+ !!! That's friggen fantastic!!! Great to see once again, the Rally proving it's chops out there 😉 Btw...Really enjoying all your Trans Canada Adventure Trail videos...so cool you documented it...I'm slowing working my way through them...very inspiring....being from Australia I do have a good concept of those sorts of distances you're covering...it does take it out of you. But then again it totally blows my mind if I think about the people that did these sorts of distances 100-150 years ago...jaw dropping stuff to us modern day-ers. How long ago did you do the TCAT?
Wow! At 6:50 your show a 45 plus year old RCMP Chevy Blazer! Tax payers are getting their moneys worth.
@@richardguse3410 EMP proof!!
Unfortunate that all happened, but what a great story forever!
We're still alive, and stronger 💪
Hi dad I love u
I love you too!!
What is that monstrosity of a bike in the thumbnail?
That is an AI creature. Lucky it doesn't have 5 wheels. Lol
Hey , what was the cost was railing the truck back home ? I never heard of anyone doing that before .
They charged us $2000 from Halifax to Edmonton.
Great review !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello guy
My littlest fan! 👋
Good job 👍
Looks like fun! :)
@@tomandhistruck It was a great trip, I can't wait to do it again. 👍
A vast majority of todays new crop of truck drivers have absolutely no idea what brake fade is.
@@a.3086 It definitely seems to be that way.
I look forward to more posts!!!
@sherriestube I promise! This time, it's happening! Lol
Hi dad 🌼
Hi Bee! Did you like the video??
Yep
Sup
Hi Ava!! 👋
Nice shirt....👍
Ha! Have you been back?
Nice video Mark! I'd like to say my experience with my P38 has been less tumultuous but I've had to do most of what you've had to do haha. It's running great now though long may it last !😊
Good luck!👍👍
Sup mark thats sweet ride bro
you know it!!
I can't wait for your next videos.
Lots to come!
I can't wait for your next videos.
You have a unique style of video-making.
This video is incredibly inspiring.
I've watched this video multiple times already.
I couldn't take my eyes off the screen while watching this.
This video made my day better.
The content is truly outstanding.
You did an amazing job.
This video brings so much positive value.
You did an amazing job.
I bought 2 new crfl250s in 2018. We love them! I wanted a 250 from 1980. A great all around bike. Not perfect, but very fine!
You can watch the tcat series for your 80s 250cc entertainment needs. Lol
This video is amazing!
