The problem with these luxury smartwatches is the tech becomes obsolete. They're tech devices, not jewellery. They're time limited devices, not lifetime investments. I get that you want the delicious money from the luxury watches market, and don't blame you for that, but it's a really hard sell knowing it will becomes obsolete. So I wonder, is there any way you can make the watches upgradeable with replaceable internals? I'd absolutely be willing to pay for a beautiful watch like this if I could keep it for life and swap out the tech inside to keep it modern. Have you thought about this?

Most people who buy watches for investments are idiots

Yes, it’s a Luxury and adventurer watch and that limits future upgrades at some point, but by that line of reasoning you’d never buy any technological device like a computer, phone, TV, microwave etc. This watch has superior materials, craftsmanship and is an aesthetically beautiful timepiece, and it’s made for the man who wants the best adventurer watch on the market and also a excellent timepiece that he could wear with a suit or tuxedo. In terms of the price, at $2,100 that is a poor man’s luxury watch considering Rolex watches start at $7,000 and go up to $85,000 for standard out of the box version, and in the hundreds of thousands dollars for customized Rolex watches.

Why is the display smaller than the one on the Epix for more than double the price?

Garmin should be ashamed of your customer service in Singapore/Asia. I bought a Tactix 7 Pro (expensive) watch in November. This is supposed to be the tough, tactical military watch. After less than a month of easy wear, the DCL on the bezel started to strip. I had not knocked it against anything and only wore it for light workouts. I contacted the online customer service who wanted pictures (sent). They then advised me to go to the local service centre. I took the time out of my day to go. On arrival, I told them that Garmin had sent me, and they said they could do nothing to rectify the situation without a ridiculous charge. They said cosmetic ‘damage’ was not covered by warranty. I told them it was not damage as nothing I had done caused the coating to peal all the way around the bezel. This was purely a product quality problem. The told me to call Garmin. I said I did call Garmin and they sent me to service centre for an assessment. The service centre person said ‘Sorry, we are not Garmin.’ He was wearing a Garmin shirt, sitting under a Garmin sign surrounded by Garmin products. I left and called the customer support again. They tried to send me back to the service centre. I explained what had happened. They said again that cosmetic ‘damage’ is not covered. In the end, they offered me 10% discount on repair if I returned to the service centre. This does not live up to the quality of the Garmin products or brand. I am advising everyone I know in social media and product review sites to stay away from this product and Garmin in general.
