    I like your video, my sister. You gave a very good presentation and I could read between the lines that you are a "God-fearing" person and your English vocabulary is excellent with good grammar.
    I give you thumbs up 👍.

      Be extremely careful! This lady speaking over 25yrs ago.. Today Canada is one of the most stressful country in the world.
      The weather is sh**. You work and pay your tax which is like one - half of your pay. Which is y Canada is so rich. Let's say u work to line the Canadian government pocket.
      Racism is rife in Canada not only black don't like white or white don't like black but the Indians as well join the party.
      U work ur but off in Canada and cannot send a soap to your old grandparents back home.
      Canada is far way tougher than the USA and Britain. Try USA or Great Britain first. U have to mentally strong to pack up and go live in Canada. If you have good good brothers and sisters or good good friends well u will have a easier ride but the stress alone in Canada will mash u down. Things are really expensive and ppl know that you just came they charge u lots of money for rent. To sign on with a surgery in Canada can take u 6months in the big cities.
      Sometimes the line to see your doctor /Gp so long u can get number 867. Reason being rich and poor use the same surgery in Canada which is unfair to the poor.
      The weather is atrocious.
      USA and Gb is expensive too but u can shop around in London and find cheap room in Canada especially Brompton not even a matches box u can find cheap.
      Work is another story even doctors and ppl with degree have been told they don't have the Canadian experience.. (make sure u get a work offer first before you go) and even so the stress that Canada put on immigrant is real. Immigrant in Canada for years and can't afford a vacation, can't help their family with nothing much. Check out Africa and the Caribbean 90% of the people who went home and build house were in USA or GB. Even if u have good job in Canada u can't really stretch ur hand and give ur cousin, nephew, niece, aunty

      all the point is a hit, the second point, i am glad you mentioned it. i can't wrap my head on how new migrant in a country want to be quick to achieve what people that have lived here for years are doing already. why the rush and tension!

    Please ma, what must a new immigrant do once he or she enters USA?

    • @ThisSideOfLifeWisdom
      @ThisSideOfLifeWisdom  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      These same mistakes apply no matter the country. I am in Canada, but, if you are moving to the USA, there are many youtube videos that address that. Please do your research and I wish you all the best. Thanks for watching!

    The tips provided in this video generally apply to immigrants and also non immigrants whether in Canada or elsewhere!
    But truth be told, the job market everywhere can be likened to a pyramid -
    There are usually more openings in the wider, lower pay base rather than at the narrower apex.
    Climbing up towards the top of the totem pole requires competent skillsets and more importantly, being "a good fit or team player"!
    Now, the requisite skillset (eg academic qualifications) can be measured objectively but not quite so with the subjective "good fit" factor.
    And that is where many new immigrants are often challenged!

    • @ThisSideOfLifeWisdom
      @ThisSideOfLifeWisdom  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree. Thanks for the smart analysis. Wherever we are, we need to do our best to climb that pyramid as far as we can and not give up. Thanks for watching!
