      Accept a country that's doomed for life? I was optimistic about NIgeria thinking all that's needed was good ideas, electricity, and good roads. That will not change much. The Nigerian psyche is not fit for modern life. Most Nigerians should still be living a village life for optimal peace of mind. Most of our existence has been in primitive living anyways.

    It's understandable if you don't have the rest of your family here hence the need to move back. In all my previous travels, I used to miss Naija within the first week and when I moved to Canada I thought I would return to Naija within a year. It's 4 years now and I've not missed Naija a bit, I think that's because within my 4 years of living here all my 3 siblings and their families have joined me. I can't just imagine being harassed by the Nigerian Police or walking around in fear.
    How come it's so easy for me to travel elsewhere but not Nigeria?

    • @FeyiMac
      @FeyiMac  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +15

      All my siblings live in Canada. I’ve never been harassed by police and I don’t really walk around in fear to be honest. Maybe the Nigeria of then is just very different from now but I would like to find out myself. Thank you so much for sharing

      When you have your siblings and their families with you in Canada then there's little or nothing to miss. People miss genuine love and relationships bc they migrated alone leaving close family and relationships behind. It will never be the same. Then for fear of walking around in Nigeria?? I wonder what you mean bc so many of us have returned to Nigeria and going about our business like anyone else. This fear mongering needs to stop or reduce. Don't sound like those living and thriving in Nigeria are sub humans pls. There are millions of people here living their best lives who haven't even been on an international flight...

    Hi Feyi, I am also moving back to Nigeria this summer from London, Ontario. I already moved my daughter who is 11rs yrs old. She is now in school and with my mum. People don't understand when i say, i crave Nigeria and love Nigeria especially as a mum. I couldn't imagine my kids not experiencing Nigeria the way i experienced it especially with me by there side. I am excited for them and also my self. I have one question for you though, are you moving with a remote job or would you be looking for opportunities in Nigeria?

    Interesting, there's been a lot of buzz lately about Nigerians relocating back to Nigeria from Canada, and it’s a fascinating trend to observe but I guess everyone’s experience is different. For some, moving back is a step toward personal fulfillment, while others might face unexpected challenges in adjusting.
    At the end of the day it is not just about hope and prayer, yes those are important, but making a strategic move, not based upon emotions, is way more important and also it is important to still have a way to generate an income stream in CAD or USD. Even for those living in Canada it is important to generate income streams in USD to hedge against forex fluctuations. Wish you all the best.
