You probably heard my story before. Mine was 2008. I sensed it coming because my boss at that time was not very nice to me. I would greet her in the morning, and she won't answer. I started interviewing outside. I even got 2 job offers with one paying the exact same salary. The other was 2000 less. I started feeling bad when my boss became friendly. So, I declined those offers. One week after, I was laid off. Several of us were laid off the same day. They gave me severance for two months. Luckily for me, I got hired at a different branch of the same company at exactly 2 months after I was laid off. In those 2 months, I applied for so many jobs and did several interviews. I became so good at interviewing 😂😂.

Great points, this is the story of many in Canada and not peculiar and that is why I view Canada as a big stock market, you need to know how to ride the bull in rising markets but heed the "bear’s warning" in times of uncertainty. The issue is most don't understand these signals and end up missing opportunities or making wrong moves and lastly one needs "time" in the market to profit from the up's and down's of the market and that is why I would say if you are already successfully in your home country and in your mid or late 40's and not entrepreneurial inclined don't bother relocating to this part of the world.

But to break into our professional job is really a tough one but we're not giving up. I've done between 500 to 1,000 applications. To make it worse after good interview performance, they would say you're not culturally fit😅😅😅 but we so much believe we will surely break into it. One of us just landed his own job last week after over 500 applications too. So stay put e go happen 😂😂

This whole online animosity has been sparked off by the outcome of the 2023 elections! In the past, the venom was primarily targeted against the Hausa/Fulani but it has now shifted to the Yorubas! Let's be honest, Nigeria is a country of strange bedfellows forced together by the British colonialists in a mutually unwanted relationship! It hasn't been a loving relationship since the Amalgamation of 1914 to this day! The earlier the discordant nations are allowed to go their separate ways, the better for everyone!

Genesis 26:15:22. And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the philistines had stop after the death of Abraham, and he gave them the names that his father had gaven them. Isaac dug four wells until he found rest, and he called the last well Rohoboth, saying, Now the LORD has giving us room and we will flourish in the land.
