At 8:50 Wrong!!! When You took off the rear head to free the stuck valve, you must not have re/torqued the head properly, or your gasket was not seated. As soon as You seen and heard this(totally visible and audible), it should have been shut down quick and fixed. After 30+ years of not running, you'd figure you could at least wait a few more hours to fix her right. That old Chief deserved that!!! Also, at initial start up, that Chief should never have idled at that low of an RPM!!! This reeks havoc on that valve train! Never heard an Indian ever run this bad!!! At 10:28 "Unbelievable huh"--"Ya' cRaZy". Yes...it sure is!!!
I love those old bikes and that one is a beauty I love when they are all original like that I can't stand them with new paint jobs and that they look better to me just like yours with some rust and a some oil on the frame and not a shined up
My dream bike absolutely beautiful!...When I was a young kid I'd sit outside of my neighbor Alfreds garage for hours at a time and watch him abd his father wrench on all their antique motorcycles including one just like in the video....I can still remember the smell of those old Indians running! Every once in a while theyd let me come in and talk their ears off
I'm in my early 60's and I would donate body parts to own and ride that baby and polish it every day brother. If any of you know of one please mail me. I want to ride again before I get to frign rusty and fall apart. One last tour left in me I'm sure. Like Bilbo said " I think its time for one last adventure" ;-)

You are killing that engine! It's back-firing out of the carburetor. Shut it down & take to someone who knows what they're doing!
