- 5000 Original Miles: ABANDONED 1947 Indian Motorcycle | First Wash & Drive in Decades! Today, we tackle a 1947 Indian Chief Motorcycle that was abandoned for years in a basement, that is covered in dirt & debris that hasn't been detailed in years that will require us to pressure wash the entire bike, followed by a wash, clay bar and then polishing the paint to bring back its shine and then put the sidecar and frame back together and see if we can take it for the first ride in years. How much do you think this bike is worth?!
Indian riders would pay for that bike! Like...alot!
$47k-excellent.....$10k-poor.
$50K to $60K, depending on
The auction house and the
Bidders on the floor…

20k-40k, but it's really priceless as a memory of his dad. I wouldn't sell it for the world
anybody else catch Bob Ross in the background on the TV?? Legend 🙂
I wondered if anyone else seen that lol
Good eye😊
Beat the devil out of it 🎨 🖌️
Love Bob Ross, the best!😊
Que maravilla de moto! Dios mío! Esta como nueva y que gran trabajo!! Mi respeto y admiración para ustedes , ese tipo de cosas no deben vender nunca, espero que su dueño la disfrute muchos años .
I'm a 63 year old disabled Navy Vet and sold my Indian many many years ago. I wish I had never sold that bike. I loved it. That bike brings back great memories. Thanks for the video.
thank you for your servic
Brad,
I'm like you, 75 years young. Got home in '68 and sold my 1958 Chev convertible (got a lady pregnant). Also had a '48 Indian in line 4 and a '47 Harley. Semper fi my friend..
Just wondering what your DAV status has to do with your Indian comment? Unable to ride?
Being a troll for attention. same reason some wear "veteran" wordedclothing, to draw attention to themselves. @@maureenreagan9544
100% disabled Army vet. I had a 2002 Chief I ended up selling after I got in the wheelchair. It was an amazing bike that would move like a crotch rocket but felt like a cruiser.
The 47 however was my favorite looking bike. Saw one at a bike show when I was a kid and it was love at first sight. (57 years old now)
When the vintage hit the road, I couldn't hold my smile. The engine roars like a heartbeat.
It was so cool
I never really had an interest for motorcycles, but now that I see it, I’d say the 47 Indian is definitely my favorite
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Especially after you've worked on it but old motorcycles and cars like this always have some sort of beauty to them. I love watching your videos because cleaning stuff makes me feel this inner sense of calmness. Feels good to watch your videos and just disconnect from the world for a moment. Amazing as always, thank you for sharing! ✌️
WOW!!! That bike is Priceless! You did a fantastic job on it and adding on the sidecar! Great Video, Guys! Thanks♥️
Old fella...have another drink. The Hope diamond is priceless. That hunk of tin is, just that. If that other old man would have had it properly restored, it might be worth a couple bucks.
Wow. This was awesome. This guys has some serious American history in his possession. Awesome video!
The Indian Chief has always been my favorite. Between the fenders, and the engine you just can't beat the look.
The most beautiful bike in my opinion is the Norton Commando 850, black with gold lettering and pinstripes. That Indian Chief is a beauty too.
I have to say that this bike is my fav! Sweet simple and PURE! Not a ton of chrome just alil to highlight some areas. Great job guys!
Oh that looks SO fun. And the joy on everyone in this video, you love to see it.
Killed the value by painting it !!!!!
Qué preciosidad de moto y que gran trabajo!! Enorabuena!! Seguid así!! 💪🏻
Omg, this was so satisfying to watch!! From beginning to the end!!!
Great job restoring that beautiful bike ! 👍
Very cool machine, love it. The color is perfect too👌🏻
Man, I wish I could get my hands on some of these sweet finds that you guys come across, but they are so rare, but that is why you guys are the best.
I have 1 . 39 chief 74 ci. 50,000$
OUTSTANDING WORK FELLAS. BRAVO, BRAVO!!!!!! YOU COULD CHARGE FOR YOUR HARD WORK AND EXPERTISE. All the best from New Zealand. Thanks for sharing your passion and diligence.
How beautiful is that bike. Amazing.
Beautiful job guys!!!
I love Harleys, Choppers, Titans and a few other bikes. I grew up on those bikes because there was a pro wrestler named Undertaker, his character drastically changed in the year 2000 and his character at that particular time was called the "American Badass" where he would come out for his entrance riding all of these motorcycles and I thought that was incredible! So I love Harleys, Choppers and Titans!
beautiful work guys on the bike ❤
Beautiful machine, very cool !!!
Well done...Great bike and Great Color Combo!!!
Always loved those indian fenders, the flathead looks good too, Vincent motor all-time favorite, I'd have to say, pre plastic machines have something modern bikes can never replace.
All original parts? Yikes! That beauty can probably fetch 50K without even blinking. Great job as always WD!
Beautiful bike, thanks for showing it. I'm in my mid 60s and I've always wanted a classic Indian, just like this one. Love that bike, I'm jealous.
Stunning work on an amazing Bike
That was a beautiful little steam boiler and engine in the background there. Good job on the bike 👍
Small correction in the trivia - It was Royal Enfield, the first motorcycle manufacturer in the world.
As much as i like the US made bikes before the 1960's, and the old BMW boxers, I think my favorites are those Japanese V6 engine motorcycles.
One word ....... WOW!!!
Wow that’s awesome !
Good find!!, everything original.
That's badass right there!
Quelle merveille... bravo a vous tous... Superbe de belle job....
Beautiful bike and seems like a nice guy that owns it he definitely has some cool stuff
Love the white tire but also like how it looks with the back tire aswell

Not an actual fan of Indians, but this one sure is a rare find. 💯
What a stunning machine
Priceless 😊
Awesome job!
First like from Brazil!

And Bob Ross painting in the background. Couldn't get better😜😜😜
great way to start the dat 👏🏼👏🏼
Love the bike. I hope the hearse in the background is next
You have designed a very beautiful thumbnail🎉
Just love love 😍 this big bad bike!!!
Very cool!
Love that Indian with the sidecar. Not sure what it is worth without knowing more about how original it is. I would love to ride it as I have owned seven sidecars over the years. I have owned many many motorcycles over the last 70 plus years.
Also I have just discovered your shop and love the videos. Why do people abandon these vehicles ????
Love your videos! Thank you! I’ve gotten way better at cleaning in general thanks to you. Haha
😮❤ descomunal divinaaa hermosa x favor que lujo ❤❤❤
That's a thing of beauty
Love it!
Funny to read about people who are complaining about 'losing value' because it was not original paint. It was repainted fifty years earlier.
If you want to be that much of a stick in the mud, then the bike should of been rolled right off of the showroom floor in 1947 and locked in a cryogenic vault for the last eighty years.
Vehicles are owned by multiple people, they are driven, they are maintained, they are repainted. This one has been lovingly cared for.
In the 1970's nobody was going to be able to call up the Indian Motorcycle company and buy a gallon of 'original' 1947 vintage paint to redo their bike with.
I think it looks gorgeous.
Beautiful.
Beautifull machine.❤
Great job guys, Maranatha, Greetings from Tampa Florida 😎
Beautiful!!
amaizing the best ti si perfect
wow... beautiful
Sepeda Motor.. sangatlah Mantap...!! Tidak sabar dengan sepeda Motor selanjutnya..
The owners so cool! He knows better the bike
my favorite bike of all time is the 1982 GL1100. reliable, smooth, easy to work on, good mileage, able to cruise the country coast to coast and your tuchus don't get callouses.
On the aesthetic side, my fav would have to be the Indian four..gorgeous.
There is a guy at Marathon Motors building in Nashville, TN who has about 4 of those bikes. The vintage Indian is my favorite bike and Russia, Japan and Germany had their versions of these style bikes in the 40s. I travel the world and have seen some really cool ones. I still believe I will find one for myself somewhere in the world.
That one right there is getting me rock solid!!!!
Bellissima moto!!!
Hi from the beautiful Cotswolds here in England. The best looking bike thus far in my humble opinion is the 1972 Kawasaki H2, of which I have two. Really enjoy your videos, very therapetic to watch!
That's worth some big bucks beautiful bike nice piece of history.
Great video
Definite fav is .. The Dennis Hopper Chopper.
That's awesome
Really cool bike guys!
Priceless..
Dam,,,good looking bike.
It's motorcycle 1970 Dr.Astro🤔? Excellent🙌!!!Congratulations a Winners WD Detailing🎉🏆🥇!!!
Mopar Maroon. Oh goody. So much for classic paint on a valuable antique.
Nice color I must say ❤
Good job boys
The cleaning os so satisfing
Sweet looking bike
Looking at the auctions I'd put this at 35k to 45k. The low mileage helps, but the non-original paint hurts. I'd say the best looking bike of all time is a Vincent Black Knight or Black Lightening. Although the Brough are pretty nice too.
Brough superior , with the Matchless engine SS100, Ohhh darn the Vincent Black shadow c
@@darrinslack1269 this Indian is as good looking as any bike. Apparently as good , if not better than Harley
Should fetch between $45-50k I recon.🤔
The best is what you have already. ❤
What is Bob Ross painting?
Super cool bike, I love Indian. Great show!
