77 years old and runs like new. No smoke. Wow what a time capsule. One thing I like about the Indians is their skirted wheels. Really gives them a nice touch. Looks like a 1961-62 Pontiac covered on the street there.
Where can I find one of these?! I wish someone would re-manufacture the old Indians just like this but today. For those of us who can’t afford an original.
To think, that lovely bike had been stood unloved all them years, deteriorating, before being found again. What a shame it remained dormant for so long!
I was fortunate to own one when I was a young man. Paid $100. for one. 1948 Chief. Of course mine was in better condition. I bought it in 1958

I don't think there is a cooler looking motorcycle than the '40s Chief. And Harleys don't have a monopoly on throaty-sounding engines either!
