What a breath of fresh air to see watches not normally talked about being show cased without a selling agenda like some grey market videos, loved the content Seth comes across as a stand on guy as always,, cheers chaps from a very sunny Rochdale evening stay safe x
Jáquez Droz is an amazing brand with lots of history. ALS is getting very popular and their prices are skyrocketing, only 5K watches a year. But, that Vacheron is insanely beautiful.
If wealthy people are willing to pay $10,000,000 for a painting that took the artist five hours to paint, an $800.000 watch that took a year to make probably seems like a bargain.
So glad to see that Michael is discovering various high value luxury brands other than the usual Rolex's, omega's AP's etc. Some of the brands shown here are top notch having a long history in horology. Great stuff Michael,Seth & Adam.
MB&F is not everybody s cup of tea but the company has created so many different movements in such a short time and their design innovation is second to none. The name of this Madness is Max Busser and he is a genius.
Great to see different brands vs the usual Rolex and APs (yawn). All of them were really great to see. Keep going through the lesser brands - they deserve more air-time

Don’t expect to be able to buy a platinum daydate by just walking in and asking for one. Don’t expect a daytona with a discount. Those days are long gone.

Well, that watch is not just any watch, that's a Perpetual Calendar, Flying Tourbillon and Minute Repeater with close to a thousand components, and they didn't make many of them, considering the R&D cost behind a piece like that and the fact that it is entirely hand finished and hand assembled, which will require an insane amount of hours worth of work, I'd say the price tag is very well justified to the eyes of someone who knows and appreciate the watch and the brand. Personally I'd rather by that Vacheron Constantin for $800K than an $800K watch from Jacob&Co with diamonds all over it, because that is a proper watch, from a distinguished brand with 260+ years of experience and know-how. But that's just my opinion✌️
Yup! And the prices he wants for many of these is about twice what other sellers typically sell them for. So yes, obviously referencing the MSRP against any discounted price may seem like a lot, but he's definitely not offering his best possible price on these. He didn't pay anywhere near 1/3 of the MSRP for them, it's just how the grey market works.
The Dina collection store had a sign it they said they were closed because of events that happen on on day. I saw it myself but can't remember the day they were referring to. I'd like to hear the story behind the sign....
That Vacheron is a grail watch for sure, even for a very wealthy collector. You would get something like that and then a grail Patek and then a few every day watches and call that collection quits after that. Incredible
Something funky has been happening with the relationships in the recent videos. Michael seems more curt than usual, Adam plays a much smaller role, and interactions with some of the “personalities” seem strained. Hope all is well
Agree! Most of the videos are quite boring as of late. You can clearly see that the chanel has turned in to ”business/job” instead of they having fun. Also notice how nervously Seth says to Michael ”you havent bought any watch from me in a long time” stating that he does not support him anymore.
I remember about ten years ago the prices of watches had not reached this current excess and only one or 2 watches like the Sky Moon Tourbillon from Patek (which had taken 2 years and the best experts to manufacture) reached a million $ and in addition you had to be selected (it was rare at the time) to be able to buy it. I think that a strong price correction is desirable, and that the grey market pays a high price or disappears because it has a responsibility in these excesses, asking tens of thousands of euros over retail pricesor even hundreds thousands for factory watches made in a few hours is anything but normal or ethical.
I always think the Seth's new logo is a pair of lungs :') I love a lot of these as I follow quite a few of these brands on Instagram. Very fun and interesting watches
