Great to see the sumatra getting a great review. I've owned one for about three months and has not let me down once. Great grouping every time and with a moderator I've no need for any ear protection. Awesome video.
I've tried many pellets. The most accurate are the 31g Baracuda. That is the round used by the guy that took out the small hog with a headshot on the Yellow Forum recently. I believe he said he was within 30 yrds. He posted pics. I also have 35g and 43g Eun Jins which are Korean made and built specifically for this Korean rifle. You can get all those from Pyramyd Air. This is the most powerful repeater you can get for the price. Also very accurate and well made.
Boy oh boy, just worked out a deal with a buddy who has a VERY gently used Sumatra 2500 after getting a chance to shoot it again today. Lets just say I'll be good to go right when small game starts opening!!! I have a Trail XL 1100 and a Disco .22 that I use to hunt, but I'd like to try this on yotes or other larger small game

It's been a while but from what I remember they are available and for around $125+ give or take. I passed on any purchase. The 11mm threading is very close to 1/4" pipe thread. You can chase the 11mm with a 1/4" threader. You can then take a trip to Home Depot and find a 1/4" brass adaptor and some PVC parts and build something very effective. There are vids on YT for assistance.
Check your laws on moderators. Don''t know the legalities on one for an airgun.
I have the 500cc version .25. About 9.5lbs w/ scope. I would have prefered the lighter carbine version for hunting. I think it runs about 7.5 lbs w/scope. Check out some of the critters this thing has taken out on the Yellow forum. (54airgunforum). This gun is loud, and has a threaded barrell.
I'm going after coyote this weekend. Need to get him within 50 yards.

yo tengo ese rfle, y la verdad no he tenido otro igual, ni loco lo venderia, con un buen lente se hace blanco a 100 metros sin ningun problema, excelente para caza menor (paloma, godorniz, pato, pecari, coyote, guajolote, etc) excelente rifle!

@pyramydair ok but i dont seem to being able to find any hand pumps for the sumatra :( but there is the benjamin discovery and that is a nice rifle 2 :D
i am thinking about buying one. how many good shots can u get for each seting and is there a warente and can u fill up with with a hand pump and can u use a compresor do u need to buy anything extra . im looking for a powerfull airgun to shoot pigions from a distance can u point me in the right direction if thisis not it? thanks

I bought one from US recently with a recommended air venturi G4 hand pump, there is huge leakage from the joint of the pump hose and fill probe, there is an adaptor on the site which also i ordered later...Pyramid informed me not required just tighten with wrench and shd work, still leakags....pls advise???
I bought this gun then returned it. Reason: 1. It's too front heavy, feels like 12 pounds 2. sights too low for eye-level, almost useless, 3. Way too loud, sounds like car tire blowing up 4. Can't drill the thin fore-stock for sling swivels. 5. Lever action uncomfortable . Positives are: 78ft/lbs power in .25cal. Very accurate. multishot. 500cc tank good for 40 shots

How long can u leave air in it? Like fully charged?
Mine has been since I can remember and never have had any issues with it. Just be careful not to bang it around too much and it should be fine

in the uk it is licenced under an FAC... but in america most rifles dont need licenses anyway

@christiancoker1 You can't shoot a 30-30 inside city limits, this you can. 30-30 ammo costs $15-$20 for 20, this costs $7 for 200. This is a bird/rabbit gun, 30-30 is a deer gun. Comparing airguns with 30-30 is like comparing abicycle with a chevy blazer. Prices are high because US gun dealers are charlatans. These sell for $70 in Korea. I bought my Diana 24 German airgun for $20 in Iran.

Negatives: Too heavy. Open sights installed too low and cheek-rest too high(even fully down) for sights to be used. AR6-style pullback hammer is much nicer than lever-action. This thing sounds louder than .22LR rimfire. No sling drilling possible in thin forestock.
Positives: Power(78ft/lbs in .25cal). accuracy.multishot. 40 powerful shots per fill.
The end of the barrel is threaded for a "moderator".
I want this gun SOOO bad, but it's too damn loud... And because of the ridiculous laws set in place by the BATFE. There should be MUCH more specific laws pertaining to airguns. I just want to be polite to my neighbors and keep it quiet, but NOOOO.
I would get a shroud permanently attached, but then it would diminish the looks and void my warranty. *sigh* I guess I'll have to go with the Marauder...

a friend of mine had a career 202 which look very similar to the rifle here and it was shit really shit, powerful but not much else

The Sumatra seems too accurate and powerful for a non license, non registered rifle.
And considering it only costs a few hundred bucks, it's also too accessible.
