Spray the tire / rim with soap and water I made up a bead breaker out of a old sizzlers jack works great the metal on the manual tire changer is not strong enough bends to easy. I use the center post for mounting and dismounting only ,. A rope around the center of the tread area tightened to compress the center of the tire helps pump air into the tire to set the bead the bar the they give you is pure garbage get the black or red duck head and put than on an end of a pipe works a lot butter as well as a small wood clamp to hold the one end of the bead into place while mounting the rest of the tire ...
I wonder why he didn't just _scoop_ the water out of the tyre? Every home or work shed has an empty plastic bottle or container sitting around somewhere. Just cut the top off, making small but tall, flexible bucket shaped scoop.
I just destroyed a bead on a brand new set of ... Chinese...35s. I've put many tires on my truck and couole other vehicles in the driveway done 35s e load on the pickup 42s and 44s on the crawler , 32s on the dailey and whatever size cabt remember on my trailer ...never have i had the problem like these zeetex 1000 mid terrains for my 17 wheels . Get down to the last 15 inches of bead to go one and its just not happening eventually I noticed the bead tearing just before it went on and when I aired it up that spot bulged from the wheel bead area... Ive seen beads split in the ture shop like that with the machine as well but the seller claims I need ... special... tire tools to install ...lol..."flotation tires" ... Me thinks they need more accurate tire molds not me needing siecial floatation tire installation tools ;-)
Patients and a lot of lube is the key. Dish soap with a little water into a spray bottle. Press the bead in increments while spraying the mixer into the seam. Let the soap work it way behind the bead and continue going around the wheel. Remember, Lube is your friend lol
Such a shame, i was routin for you after seeing the 1st one done! I wouldve figured 2 per day wouldv been enough! A crazy amount of heat and lubr and you would've been successful!! You showed everyone its possible on a harbor freight changer when they said 17" max 👍🏾

I had dismounted the narrow side then tried to pull the other bead off the bigger side of the wheel. I wrestled it for awhile then realized my mistake. I then had to mount the other side back on and start all over. The 10 ply tires area real chore. If had better luck with low profile tires actually. Soap in a spray bottle helps.
You need to watch some videos on how to use the long bar to mount your tires. That was about the most difficult way to do it and yes, you definitely need some longer tire spoons.
When putting last bead on use vise grips clamped to rim to hold tire .keep bead down using hand .and a hammer is a good idea to have also .and typical the inside bead is harder to break down .try a Toyota Tacoma or tundra steel rim lol
Was very comedic and entertaining to watch this video. I know the other side of the harbor freight bar has the tire bead seating guide. It looks kind of like Rams skull with horns. There's a side that hooks over the rim and it pushes the bead back under the metal lip as you slide it around the rim. You should watch some videos of other folks doing this with lower profile more difficult tires or at least read the directions that came with the tire change tool LOL

In fact, we have the _exact same_ el-cheapo Chinese junk tyre change. It's around $100A. If the instructions Murrrca gets with their item, are the same the instructions we get, it's no surprise that _so many_ people have uploaded how-to videos for these things.
First bottom side is easy to get on you just twist the whole Tire with your arms as you press down on it rather than trying to press it straight on. You weren't doing that
No it won't unless your dumb enough to have grossly miss matched diameters making the revolution of one axle much different than the the other . You're not supposed to put 4wd in anyway unless the road surface has slip . Most people including myself don't even rotate their tires my rear tires will be 30% when front are still 50+ and it's not given me any issue with the 271d even driving 65 on highway snow...yep ;-)
No need to flip the tire over while dismounting. Leave the pretty side up and bring the old tire off the top. Less work and would have prevented your mounting error as well.
The professionals didn't seem to be using any more technique than you were. I believe the old tires were overly adhered to the rims and needed to be cut off. The professional should have figure that one out.
I love videos that aren't edited, especially the starter fluid part.try a smaller tire for practice, it does get easier,good luck. Ps instead of the music I'd rather seen a solo performance on the toy xylophone on the ground to take out your frustrations
You gave it a shot and learned a lot. The key is to use better and the right tools and techniques. I change all .y own tires, car, truck, trailer and motorcycle. Some keys are heat , the warmer the tire the easier it is to install, a bead buster to break the hard beads, proper use of the lube there are specific places and types of lube to use where and finally the tire changer itself, the hf will work with modifications or get a No Mar. Either will pay for itself in a few changes plus you can buy tires when on a cheap sale and change when you want on your schedule in your home. A simple bubble balancer will balance up tires well enough to run speeds well into the 80s. It's all tools and knowledge. People spend $50 and think they can just change tires. Ha ha ha you need to spend a few hundred and do it right and easy it's an investment like any other tool.
You really should practice using this tool. Really it's not as hard as you make it look. It's actually easier with big tires than it is with small lower profile tires, and there's people all over TH-cam demonstrating this tool with low profile tires. Sure was entertaining though, I got a laugh out of you using a big tractor to try to the debead the tire 😁.
Always appreciate anyone who works to accomplish heavy mechanical jobs themselves. BUT, what drives me nuts, is when they do with inappropriate footwear!! Nonetheless, kudos to you! 😁👍
For me, using this el-cheapo device to remove any size tyre from almost any size rim, has been a piece of cake. HOWEVER, the challenge for me is with mounting heavy duty / commercial vehicle tyres - like 8-ply. Even getting the first bead over the wheel rim is a friggin' nightmare! FWIW, if you don't bolt this thing to a concrete floor (which he did) and/or don't wind the spider down _tight_ on the wheel (which he did not) you're essentially telling yourself (and us viewers) that want the job to be much more difficult than necessary. The number of vids, with gronks who attach it to an old pallet, a crappy piece of plywood - or just try holding it with one foot - reduces my faith in the human species. 🤦🏼♂️

I wonder if this tire changer will work for 19.5 dually tires? Been changing them on the ground, just trying to see if there's an easier way.
The changer is pretty flimsy, but it gets the job done.
