The "life is suffering" thing is always interesting. There are so many layers to unpack, and beneath each one lies another confrontation, question, or paradox. Yet you'll notice that every 'life is suffering' worldview ends up pursuing the transcendence above suffering, the overcoming of suffering, the shouldering of responsibility in order to find deeper joy. We're always constructing some sort of rationale as to why accepting the suffering is ultimately more fulfilling. And I think reality is evidence to the success of this journey. Regardless of perspective (evolutionary, secular, religious) we are continually reaffirming one thing: life is worthwhile, existence is worthwhile, suicide is the lesser option. We are still here striving.
The problem with these red pill guys beating on about 'life is suffering' is their philosophy doesn't transcend the suffering narrative at ALL. They're relying on ancient and rich traditions of thought which open us up to deeper fulfillment; but their understanding of these traditions is so shallow that their arguments crumble the moment Steven speaks. While I disagree with his orientation with regards to pleasure and such, his argument is much deeper and more accurate than theirs.

Don't argue better access to birth control and other contraceptives as those are literally free nowadays and easy to find, it's not the 1950's.
