My favorite brand has always been Nissin, and I cook it with a little less water, and 2½ minutes instead of 3. Always adding the soup spices at the beginning to let the noodles absorb some taste while boiling. But, a few years ago I came across the "Lucky Me! Pancit Canton", the same hot flavor they had in this video. It's my new favorite.. and guess what, Lucky Me! is a Nissin brand. So I guess I do love Nissin.
+PinkOmega Dabs (TwistedSanity) I've only seen the hot one, and one called kalamata or something. Lime flavor and shrimp perhaps, it was not good at all :)

NOOOO! That's not the way you cook the Indomie with soup! You should cook the noodles without the ingredients! Then when it's done, pour the noodles with the soup and the ingredients into one bowl and mix it like the way you do it without the soup! If you cook it, the ingredients will lose the flavour!
That's what stood out for me. Every brand of instant ramen I've tried said to cook the noodles alone (except if they had dried vegetables.) Then after the noodles (and veggies, if any) are done add in the dried powders and any sauce. Works well for me. That includes brands from China/Korea/Japan that I've tried.
True. It's a balancing act where you need enough water to dissolve the powders and help them coat the noodles but not so much that the dissolved ingredients are left behind after the noodles are gone. Who knew that making cheap fast food can be a bit of an art form?
Shinji D Hahaha.. Same feeling. That's why I only eat instant noodles not not than 12 times a year averagely. Highest record was less than 5 packets a year.
I was laughing when Philippine noodles came in. I was like just " For real guys? You just contented with that single pack and even shared that little seasonings on it?" Here in the Philippines, one Lucky Me Pancit Canton is not enough for a single tummy. Believe me, 2 of that will do" By the way, that's the number 1 brand here in the Philippines so nice choice! But it's not a ramen! It's Pancit canton! 😂😂😂
i eat 3 packs before they change the noodles. the taste is kinda different that it was before because of the noodles. payless xl i think is now better than lucky me
i buy the pork ones it as 2 part packet and the one after watching them sometimes makeing the sauce/powder separate do you know how you do the pork one
Maruchan noodles in the packet taste much better than the cup noodles. The cup ones end up tasting like the styrofoam container, and the noodles are weird and flabby, but the ones from the packet have better quality noodles and taste better.
Seeing your reaction on tasting the filipino instant ramen made me laugh, (bc im filipino) and i knew you were going to say something about the flavouring, on how small it is.

That was entertaining to watch the whole time. Glad you liked Pancit Canton, I love it as well. I was surprised about the Indomie though because I love it too, there are other Indonesian noodles that I think more flavorful.

yeah they aren't the best but they are pretty good. I don't know if the ones I've had are the same since I'm from portugal and have never seen the cup ones, just the packets but I'd gladly eat them. Most actual asian instant noodles are better but they aren't nasty like they said
nah i don’t think they were too dramatic because they are true asians so since some people are white or not asian people they think it’s really good but it’s really not compared to the other noodles they have tried in the asian countries!! *just my opinion*
As a Filipino, I really like Pancit Canton and Indomie.. even here in the Philippines I eat Indomie occasionally, sadly it's pretty rare and expensive.
It's not expensive. It's Php 12.50 for the 85 gram Indomie Mi Goreng, which is imported. Lucky Me, which is around Php 10 for 80 grams, is actually expensive considering it's nowhere near as good as Mi Goreng.
And I’m sitting here eating my Nongshim shin cup 😂 which i still think is the best instant ramen 💕 also you should of had the classic Indomee Mi Goreng or the satay 🙌
Hey im from Malaysia. You should try the Maggie or Mamee Instant Noodles. theyre one of the best instant noodle brand sold in Malaysia. It comes in a lot of flavour such as Curry, Tom Yam, Chicken, Beef etc. anyway love your videos man. sorry if my english sucks
Your English is great and thanks for the suggestion. There is a Hong Kong Market superstore in my location (New Orleans) and it has an entire aisle filled with instant noodles from around the world. I bet I'll find those there.
WreckingPizza 00 oh yeah, i remember eating maggie curry when i was a kid. Actually, Maggie was sold in the Philippines before but another company has taken over the market. That's the one they tried out in the video.
Idk about other Indonesian people but i personally (and people around me) didn't cook Indomie the way you guys cooked it. You shouldn't boil the seasoning along with the noodle, you should've put the seasoning, yes all the seasoning including the oil, inside the bowl. Boil the noodle, and pour the boiled noodle along with the water you used to boil the noodle into the bowl. Mix it with the already placed seasoning. Also, you guys should've taste the Indomie Goreng (stir fried Indomie though it has nothing to do with actually stir frying it), it's a favorite all over the world and also the Indomie Kari Ayam (chicken curry flavored Indomie)
Mi goreng (indomei) is the ultimate instant ramen. I hope this is in this video and if not I hope they try it. It’s my favourite! It comes with seasoning oil, chili sauce, sweet soy sauce, seasoning and dried onion flakes. It is a flavour explosion 💥 10/10
i'm from Malaysia and i hve no idea what brand is that.. haha LOL.. we malaysian usually eat "Maggie" or "Mamee" brand .. and we call every instant noodles "maggie" . U guys should try 'Mamee Chef' .. its superb..
Did u mean the penang laksa one? I saw it at Pavilion KL when I went to KL last year and mostly at every supermarket even Aeon sunway. that brand even in the list of what to buy in malaysia. If u went to KK mart or 99 speedmart I doubt u can find it.
Threesome buddies enjoying noodles , count me in!! Thank you for adding the Filipino Pancit Canton on your taste test, that’s my fave noodles esp when I missed home cooking, very flavourful and tasty, and thank you for the 8pts review! 😋👍👍☺️

A failed testing. Some of the noodles needed to be cooked, not soaked. You guys start complaining of uncook noodles, what a irony. Justice is not given. The complete verdict comes with the texture of the noodles, well cooked noodles, not raw and the flavouring combine.

They loved the Filipino Lucky Me noodles because their expectation was so low since it looked pale and bland... They got the shock of their life. That ladies and gentleman is a perfect visualization of how to win by lowering other people's expectation. Compare it to the Singapore Laksa which looks so fancy and nice and ends up with a big disappointment.
I watched this last night and literally fell asleep in satisfaction
L O L Z ! ! ! !
My question is how did you guys ea all this and not get sick?!

So obvious the the guy and girl on the left love them but were embarrassed to admit it haha I mean the dude on the left said he ate that for years
you guys a very likeable! i am addicted to the original indomie! thank you for the video!
That's awesome. I like the Lucky Me noodles that's flavored sweet & spicy more.
+PinkOmega Dabs (TwistedSanity) I've only seen the hot one, and one called kalamata or something. Lime flavor and shrimp perhaps, it was not good at all :)
Kalamansi? I like that alot though. Maybe just preference :p
+PinkOmega Dabs (TwistedSanity) yes, Kalamansi :) Yeah, it's a taste I'm just not used to I think. It was too much lime for me ;)
You should try the sweet and spicy flavor. It's the bomb! 😊
“I usually put two packs of noodles and one pack of sauce” the others act like he’s just invented the internet
@Alex Mason lol what
@Alex Mason While you're in Mama's basement, drinking a Mountain Dew Daddy bought you, just after scratching your butt crack and popping a pimple, educated /articulate Mike Chen(he has a College Degree-U?) is making another great TH-cam video for his 100s of thousands of fans and Subscribers around the world. You get to hear Mom from upstairs yell..."A l e x Mason....clean your room!"
@Alex Mason you got some jealousy in you 🤣
@Alexander Mason ALEX MASON!! CLEAN YOUR ROOM! 🙉
Lmaooo my mom actually do this
The sodium content will have my ankles swollen for a month.
nice joke lol
Lol!
Yo 🙋🏻♀️
are you fucking kidding me???
you westerners are way to sensitive
my sodium intake is similar to them everyday and of course I eat rice 3 times a day
Try not drinking the broth, it makes the sodium intake much less bad
Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed!
when it comes to food
I dont have the time to read
adding the ingredients in the water just dilutes the flavor T_T
True. It's a balancing act where you need enough water to dissolve the powders and help them coat the noodles but not so much that the dissolved ingredients are left behind after the noodles are gone. Who knew that making cheap fast food can be a bit of an art form?
What i dont like about ramen is that I can finish a pack in like 20 seconds lol and then thats 400calories wtf
Shinji D haha
Shinji D Hahaha.. Same feeling. That's why I only eat instant noodles not not than 12 times a year averagely. Highest record was less than 5 packets a year.
omg i didnt know about the calories..
+Todoroki Senpai What I do is to skim on the fat they provide. I only use a tiny portion of it. That package of fat is worth like 100 calories alone.
Vh
I was laughing when Philippine noodles came in. I was like just " For real guys? You just contented with that single pack and even shared that little seasonings on it?" Here in the Philippines, one Lucky Me Pancit Canton is not enough for a single tummy. Believe me, 2 of that will do" By the way, that's the number 1 brand here in the Philippines so nice choice! But it's not a ramen! It's Pancit canton! 😂😂😂
Noodles parin hahahahahah
They need to save a space for the others or you'll get an episode out of this. XD
i eat 3 packs before they change the noodles. the taste is kinda different that it was before because of the noodles. payless xl i think is now better than lucky me
I felt so proud when they loved the pansit canton, haha.
The Lucky Me Pancit Canton of the 90's (yellow) was sooooo much better!
Love the reactions to #3! Why am I having so much fun watching your reactions to these various noodles? 😂
😂😂😂😂 Indomie had always been my late night hunger saviour snack 💓
...me too, the BBQ chicken one!
I don't know there is an BBQ Chicken...
MAMA NOODLES FOR LIFE
Me too sister
I always buy their udon noodles, so good..
i buy the pork ones it as 2 part packet and the one after watching them sometimes makeing the sauce/powder separate do you know how you do the pork one
I buy the exact same ones on the video, love em.
I'm really liking the sapporo ichiban ramen lately. I also really want to try that spicy Korean ramen soon 😋
Sapporo is great
faithizzlezz i thought that my tolerance for spicy food was high until i tried the Korean spicy noodle. It was really spicy but i really like it.
Candy Kpoplover Yeah I'm pretty sure I won't be able to handle it haha but I still want to try it. 😆
faithizzlezz i tried the fire noodle challenge a while back but now I eat it like regular ramen
The girl is wasting napkins she literally get one every after eating noodles
😂 this was made a few years ago. Today.... It's wise to not reuse your napkins and the rest is history
Look at her TShirt
so what? did you pay for the napkins?... no ... oh okay
@@laivuro does that change the fact that she's wasting?
@@camille4710 nah but you commenting about the napkins wont change shes wasting either will it?
Maruchan noodles in the packet taste much better than the cup noodles. The cup ones end up tasting like the styrofoam container, and the noodles are weird and flabby, but the ones from the packet have better quality noodles and taste better.
Oh, and the corn is the only good thing about the cup noodles.
What "Top Ramen"?
I agree the cup is bad but the one in the pack is way better
They should have chosen Shin Ramen over the jjajang ramen. Black Shin is one of my fave ramens!!
True! the seasoning is also better in the packet ones !
Seeing your reaction on tasting the filipino instant ramen made me laugh, (bc im filipino) and i knew you were going to say something about the flavouring, on how small it is.
mark caaya their suprise when they ate it
Lucky me pancit canton for the win!
Ayyee Filipino fam lmao 😂 Pancit canton is my favorite pancit.
Jehfff Burgenstien Same!
I love Lucky me Pancit Canton!
Pancit Canton isnt pancit. Even pancit is not pancit, its just noodles mixed with vegtables, eggs, and flavoring.
homegirl uses a lot of paper towels, lol
RedBossGaming k
Fisch she ate a lot of noodles
Arkeem Harrison she ate ur noodle
Who cares they're biodegradable and made from recycled trash. Napkins are literally bleached garbage. You should use as many as possible and put them back in the trash As quick as you can.
Mike chens is very honest on his opinion. Very strong
Straight forward approach among the 3. It's funny though they belittle the pancit canton and surprisingly they can't believe the taste and quality of our product. It helps our products advertised. Thanks Sir Mike Chen. I love watching your videos
I've never had any other type of ramen besides the American and I've been missing out so much!
Bailee Jane Haha! Yes! For sure!
Bailee Jane Authentic asian instant noodles are super good!
Bailee Jane same I've only had the American ones and this vid makes me feel like I'm missing out on instant noodles other than American
Bailee Jane you should try the filipino pancit canton, with soft boiled eggs, and a toasted bun on the side for a traditional filipino snack.
Same, the JJaJangMen one looked soo good
They barely talked about how spicy some of those noodles are haha. True subtle asian traits. So glad you liked Pancit Canton from the Philippines! 😍
Ivy-ron Quinto yep
those mama noodles are sooooo good
Jessica A ikr??
Yes I grew up on these not Ramen. Those are disgusting.
Jessica A i know they are so good!!!
I really love it
Jessica A YOU SHOULD TRY IT RAW AND CRUNCH IT. ITS REALLY GOOD COOKED AND RAW.
Whoa! I felt that Mike, when you had a first bite on the Pancit Canton 🇵🇭, That was the craziest and shocking reaction I saw from you eating enormous foods. That was insane, it really hit you. Wow!
she keep getting that paper towel roll 😂😂
Almost every time they ate a new raman lol
Right! Wasting paper towels ☹️
I noticed
"I put two packs of noodles in there, and... one pack of sauce"
"WHOOOAAAAA"
I'm dead.
Dumbasses
You should try Indomie Mi Goreng. They’re really famous in Australia
no, indomie famous in the world
R u serious
@Dmon Blu They got 2 of the worst flavours, the classic is the best.
My favorite 😍😍
Yees
That's quite surprising how you reacted to indomie. I personally love indomie...and almost every foreign friend I have is in love with Indomie.
indomie chicken and curry soup is pretty good but for them it aint that good cuz they tasted way better ones
What about sedaap, are they the same noodle but different language name cause I think sedaap is better but no one ever talk about it
@@jiayi5829 In Indonesia, where Indomie and Sedaap came from, the instant noodle fans kinda split in 3 categories, Indomie Lovers V Sedaap fans V Others...
I felt either Their taste already weird after all of the previous Noodle or They choose the one that has great name or They got the less flavor one or They just cook It Wrong... But who knows¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Honestly, I only buy these two once since I like Other Flavor more... ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_༼ᴼل͜ᴼ༽_/¯ maybe Different Taste
@@koriharyono5238 for me they both taste really good
Is it just me that after watching this video wanted to eat instant noodles 🍝 😍😍😍
Bieng mj I subscribed
Bieng mj yes!
Bieng mj I was eating them while watching
Bieng mj nope
you guys should try the Samyang spicy ramen from Korea, that's crazily spicy but really delicious
That's my all time favorite ramen
16:21 i think yi mentioned in the video. i like it too
it must have some serious msg added bc it's addicting
is that the one where people r doing the fire challenges?
TheSonyGuy1 yup!
Indo Mie - mi goreng is the best I've tried
Gillis definitely just commented this and was looking for others who agree.
Omg have you tried Koka (stir fried flavour) noodles? It's Singaporean. I kid you not, the best noodles I've ever had was a combo of Indo Mie mi goreng and Koka. If you can eat 2 packets of noodles in one go you should def give this a try.
P.S. the Koka noodle on its own is really good as well!
lol 2 packets is a must for a meal
Paulomee Neog I haven’t but I should apparently
What i felt was koka noodles is more spicy than samyang.
That was entertaining to watch the whole time. Glad you liked Pancit Canton, I love it as well. I was surprised about the Indomie though because I love it too, there are other Indonesian noodles that I think more flavorful.
I'm so happy that you guys liked the instant ramen from the Philippines!!!!
#pilipino!!!!!
Marissa Sibug Its only Instant Noodles not Ramen cuz Ramen has A Broth or Soup with the noodles kung saatin yun yung Chicken Flavor ng Lucky Me na may sabaw
AlphaWolf // GamerOfTheNight2005 I agree
I know!!! I was so excited when they tried the Filipino instant ramen and liked it. :)) Definitely brought back some memories.
AlphaWolf // GamerOfTheNight2005 depende kasi yan saatin, kung sa kanila ramen saatin noodle, hindi purket may soup ramen na,hayaan mo yung kung anong tawag nila sa pagkain na iyan
Marissa Sibug Filipino*
the maruchan or however u spell it is like the only ramen we eat 😂
I eat 2 of them. It's not that bad
Charlie Gu yeah ikr. hahaha i have never tasted any other ramen
Charlie Gu not true actually lol
lulu scarebear v
I feel so sorry for you XD.
Does anyone feel that they were way way way wayyyyy to dramatic about the maruchan noodles
Yeah
Yes
yeah they aren't the best but they are pretty good. I don't know if the ones I've had are the same since I'm from portugal and have never seen the cup ones, just the packets but I'd gladly eat them. Most actual asian instant noodles are better but they aren't nasty like they said
Eh when you grow up on them it’s the last thing you wanna eat. But they were a bit dramatic lol
nah i don’t think they were too dramatic because they are true asians so since some people are white or not asian people they think it’s really good but it’s really not compared to the other noodles they have tried in the asian countries!! *just my opinion*
I just saw the napkins she wasted after each ramen stuff
noodles always have special place in my heart
Pancit Canton is the best
As a Filipino, I really like Pancit Canton and Indomie.. even here in the Philippines I eat Indomie occasionally, sadly it's pretty rare and expensive.
It's not expensive. It's Php 12.50 for the 85 gram Indomie Mi Goreng, which is imported. Lucky Me, which is around Php 10 for 80 grams, is actually expensive considering it's nowhere near as good as Mi Goreng.
Kyle Lopez-Vito That’s an exaggeration. Indo Mie isn’t that great compared to Lucky Me Pancit Canton. At best, they’re just equal.
And I’m sitting here eating my Nongshim shin cup 😂 which i still think is the best instant ramen 💕 also you should of had the classic Indomee Mi Goreng or the satay 🙌
I hate it, too sweet
Hey im from Malaysia. You should try the Maggie or Mamee Instant Noodles. theyre one of the best instant noodle brand sold in Malaysia. It comes in a lot of flavour such as Curry, Tom Yam, Chicken, Beef etc. anyway love your videos man.
sorry if my english sucks
WreckingPizza 00 Ikrrr... they should asked people around for the most popular brand.. ;;
nooo its not tasty maggie
thought u were an englishman
Your English is great and thanks for the suggestion. There is a Hong Kong Market superstore in my location (New Orleans) and it has an entire aisle filled with instant noodles from around the world. I bet I'll find those there.
WreckingPizza 00 oh yeah, i remember eating maggie curry when i was a kid. Actually, Maggie was sold in the Philippines before but another company has taken over the market. That's the one they tried out in the video.
everytime I eat noodles I imagine I'm in some anime like naruto or dbz lol
lilSwagg201 Almighty__royce lol
lilSwagg201 Almighty__royce me too lol weebo life xD
lilSwagg201 Almighty__royce always 😄😄
Yup lmao
Yea man, Chicken Curry is the best one for me. They didn't read the instructions I guess.
It will become saucy
Indomie Goreng is the best one out there. People can fight me on this.
Actually better to use different water to boiled mie and for serve( mix with mie after boiled)
@@bayoeprasetyo8964 yeah cause of the the stuff they put on the noodle to preserve it
i was anticipating the pancit canton the most, being the filipino am lmao, i’m so happy it got such a good reaction!!
I want to try the very first one! I've tried Indo mie and Mama, both yummy brands.
PinkyBearToys 🍜
PinkyBearToys I have like 5 bags of the Singapore ones in my pantry right now
The indomie brand is way too salty imo
Mama is so goood 😍 i love the packet of oil seasoning or whatever that comes with it
🍕
"The wheel's turning, but the hamster's dead." LOL!!!
Nicole Sibylla 🤣😂 your too funny.
They should definitely try the special chicken one by indomie. IT’S THE BEST
Yes indomie is life
MSG!!!!! !
Yeah indomii is good
Yay! As a Filipina so glad you liked the Pancit Canton :D That is my all time favourite!
i'm from Malaysia and i hve no idea what brand is that.. haha LOL.. we malaysian usually eat "Maggie" or "Mamee" brand .. and we call every instant noodles "maggie" . U guys should try 'Mamee Chef' .. its superb..
Nicky Rose96 Same!! I just comment the same thing. You can find Mamee and Maggi in every house
Nicky Rose96 I love Maggie, it's a HUGE brand in India
ikr ! i dont have a clue where that instant noodles sold
Did u mean the penang laksa one? I saw it at Pavilion KL when I went to KL last year and mostly at every supermarket even Aeon sunway.
that brand even in the list of what to buy in malaysia. If u went to KK mart or 99 speedmart I doubt u can find it.
@ S B really?

Garrett Howard wow such a loser
you're just weak
Threesome buddies enjoying noodles , count me in!! Thank you for adding the Filipino Pancit Canton on your taste test, that’s my fave noodles esp when I missed home cooking, very flavourful and tasty, and thank you for the 8pts review! 😋👍👍☺️
they cooked the Indonesian noodles wrong and they complain about the taste. read the instructions. smh
i know.... right
+first name yeah. .... so unscribe for me
Reza Palepi Naradam i just give it a simple dislike
they just have different taste.. lotsa people addicted to indomie dude! they dont even know that the green one is soto soup thatswhy they dont really taste like beef
haha yeah soto means soup in malay right? they should try soto ayam.
Indomie 4evaahh!!
Just tried the pork flavor of Mama and was the best noodles I have had. Great flavor and pretty spicy. Love it.
I love Mama shrimp tom yum but for some reason, I REALLY don't like their pork one
No idea why
Wait till you try their Duck flavor
Pork is the best
A failed testing. Some of the noodles needed to be cooked, not soaked. You guys start complaining of uncook noodles, what a irony. Justice is not given. The complete verdict comes with the texture of the noodles, well cooked noodles, not raw and the flavouring combine.
Philippines POWER!!! 🇵🇭✌️😄

Pansit Canton is just heaven. That is certainly my comfort food.
Jherimica Angeles no
I agree
Yes!
My favorite is Sweet and Spicy flavor and just a few years back, they made the noodles flat.
After every bite. It's like she had to use a new piece of paper towel. Holy hell.
And?
Mari Perez str8 up me
Ryan Whit pretty wasteful and inconsiderate considering that if everyone used everything for their disposal like that then the earth would have already ran out of resources decades ago and also that the earth is already almost out of resources lmaoo
Bristian !¡ it’s not really almost out of resources, just comparing to the peak of the amount of resources back then, resources at running “low”
I'm Filipino and I LOVE the pancit canton spicy one. I have it for meals or a snack a lot. But after watching this vid I really want to try some of the noodles in this vid!
I love it with boiled egg
