Hello everyone! Please let me know if I should do more of the Ferrex stuff from time to time. Parkside have more tools but it can't hurt to have a look at what Ferrex can come up with from time to time can it?
Ferrex drill review will be nice. I mostly shop at Lidl because I can also have a look at the Parkside section. But if Aldi tools are also good I will pay them a visit from time to time.
The 1/2 anvil looks way more at home with the Ferrex units then it does with the parkside. For the price difference Id say the Ferrex pro is really good
Hi brilliant video i am a big fan of the ferrex tools im looking at buying a bushing but the link shows one with holes unlike the vid, is this correct? Thanks 😀
Thank you! I guess they changed the listing. You can still use the one from the lising as it is self lubricating, however I still think a steel one is best so that would be my ideal choice, but depends on how you want to do it.
If you are using sockets on it you will get more out of it for sure! If you decide to go for the conversion I would love to know how it goes! Thank you for comment!
This is the best TH-cam video on Aldi Ferrex Active Energy tools which are a very good cheap high current delivery battery system helped by the 2 parallel terminals from battery to drill diuretic current is 20v when using 20/40v battery which is best for heaver jobs.
Thank you for being so king to this video! I did give it my best at the time to show Ferrex fans what can be done with these tools. I still have them and get some occasional use out of the Pro one. I love it! Also I got the PRO version 40V hammer drill and I love that as well! It is a really powerful drill with the 40V system!
Hi, I have placed the links for the parts needed in the video description. The anvil is there is well. However in case the link is not functioning for you the anvil needed for the Pro version conversion is an anvil for a WORX WU278
The regular FERREX looks suspiciously similar to the Parkside 180 Nm impact driver, does the same conversion apply with the Parkside? Can you make a video about that? A comparison would be intresting too. I love your work, thank you👌
Absolutely I will make a video! I am just waiting for more anvils to arrive, because I want to convert a couple of different Parkside tools, after which we will test them. The Ferrex does look similar, however since I have not done that on the Parkside yet I can't say for sure if the size of the bushing is EXACTLY the same. Otherwise the washer is the same and the anvil will need to be the same dimensions as specified in this video.
Ferrex did make a 1/2 inch impact wrench that advertised 400 nm I own one I got it last year before they stopped selling tools online at Aldi special buys
Yes, they have a 1/2“ impact wrench. However is quite pricey on ebay at the moment, that is why I gave this option a go. I don‘t think it‘s too bad actually. I have not tried the 400Nm one what is it like? Does it feel like it has the 400Nm?
Update: No 3/8 anvil within reason fits on these. There is one from DeWalt which can be made to fit but needs A LOT of work and even then the socket will catch on the casing from time to time. I have not tried to fin anvils that cost more than the tool, that I think would be a bit much.
Hi I have dcf921 and will nice to get 3/8 as well. But if not is plug and play anvil im not gonna do this. I bought 1/2 from ali. Let me know if in the future You will find easy one.
I am Team parkside. Im so happy with the conversion on my b3. Ive thought maybe I buy 2nd one and let it sit aside and dont convert because of warranty etc :)
If this helps your case I have 3 of them 😂 Converted B3 and C3 and a non converted B3. However I got them for the videos. Currently the most used one is the C3, because I want to see if it will last.
That might be difficult. The opening in the casing where the anvil is exiting is just enough for a 1/4" anvil which would be around the 14mm mark. A 1/2" anvil has at least a 16mm shaft diameter so it can't go through the casing without major changes to said casing. There is a bigger chance of something going wrong with the tool than a chance of it becoming a 1/4" and 1/2" combo tool. That said I have not tried that but it is just what it looks like to me from the photos online.

@@PetyrWo I will see what I can do!
Thank you! You are the best!@@BrokeLifeEU
Yes please 😁
@Failsafeman100 Yes on the drill or Ferrex in general?
Impressed 😮
Thank you so much! A simple and nice way to get more out of ones Ferrex tools I think. I hope someone somewhere found it useful!
Just finished the conversion on the Ferrex Pro. Super easy to do, thanks for all the info!!
My pleasure! Might just be the easiest conversion ever! Please let me know what you think when you try it out! I would love to read your thoughts.

I was quite shocked at just how at home it looked the first time I put it back together with the new anvil.

Love your work ! More Aldi Pro 20v hacks please!!!
Thank you so much! I hope they release some nice tools soon.
I'm now thinking about doing that to my Milwaukee ¼" impact driver.👍🇺🇸

Where do I get the conversions for 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch ferrex impact driver please

Can I use it like a drill?
You can, but the speed is too high on these for precise drilling operations and the drill bits won’t last long.
Hi I have pro version and I want to convert to 3/8 . Which anvil I need to buy?
Hi, I have a couple of 3/8 anvils around so I will test them out as soon as I can and give you the part number if one of them fits.
Update: No 3/8 anvil within reason fits on these. There is one from DeWalt which can be made to fit but needs A LOT of work and even then the socket will catch on the casing from time to time. I have not tried to fin anvils that cost more than the tool, that I think would be a bit much.

@wmk166 I will let you know for sure. I tried my best on this one sorry for the negative result.
Im prefer 3/8 but I'm happy with 1/2 anyway . Great video
Can you try aplle to aplle total tools vs parkside
Do you have any particular Total tool in mind?
Brilliant
Thank you! I hope it was useful!

@@BrokeLifeEU oh hahahaha bro which one is better im from Germany I guess I only can get the c3 Version now
The B3 I find is better. More power and the mode buttons I like better. But yes not like we have a choice anymore.
next Ryob1 impact driver the brushed one like P.235.A

I was cringing about a screw or something falling through the crack on the deck, and then, it happened.
It was bound to happen really 😂
