I love watching your videos-Great advice when I came up a few weeks ago-I did hook one but he got off....but I am determined to get back up there in November and try for steelhead!!
Thanks for watching. Best of luck next trip up here!!
If you wouldn’t mind sharing what you were using to catch the steelhead and where you were at that would be amazing 😊
Egg pattern fly, clown colored (orange, white, pink) and fishing 1.9 miles upstream from Rt 3 bridge.
If you don’t mind.
What tippet material and pound strength r u using in this video.
Thanks
you do any winter steelhead fishing?
what is the name of this place ,where is it ?
Don’t think Iv ever been to that part of the river
It's the lower end of the river, it's nice down here, fewer people, but you have to pay the price for that luxury.
I can’t catch a salmon or steelhead for nothing. I’ve hooked a handful of salmon and ended up losing them. I’ve gone up two or three times the last couple years. What rod are you using broke my rod up there a week ago in the market for a new one.
Bummer man, next time when you hook into one, don't reel it in fast, take your time at landing them, play them out till they're tired. May take a few mins or 10, but you'll land one. Tight lines!!!
Im still searching for my first ever steelhead. My luck is terrible. 😂
Good luck
What kind of setup are you running?
I've been using a fly rod and centerpin the last few trips out. Egg pattern flies, beads, and blue goo eggs.
What rod is that?
Douglas DXF 11'6" switch rod
