I needed some days alone and clients in France asked me to make their houseportrait already years ago. This week I drove to France to paint and to enjoy nature, the city of Cluny and being alone for some days.
“…and then you can see what you are doing daily from a distance…”…so profound. Does your thinking about your artistic process affect and influence your thinking about your “life process?”😊 If you were intending to bring your deep experiences in France deep into the minds and hearts of your viewers, then your video had the desired affect…thank you.

Thank you for sharing your reflections about your artistic process. Although our art, job and training is vastly different, your videos are always rich food for thought. I often think of travel as filling myself back up with capturing experiences and images in my mind/or camera and I often travel with my husband, but your video echoes my desire for a solitude-trip , too, to step away from job,studio and everyday life to see what I am "doing daily from a distance."

Headed out today to spend a week in the Adirondacks painting plein air with 99 others. Two locations a day. Lots of room for reflection, silence balanced with the community of other artists. Getting away from the day to day routine & commitments- so therapeutic. I am a watercolorist & love watching your process when painting watercolors & your insights.

If you were hypothetically an audience.......which would you buy your oils or watercolour paintings?
Good question. Both are developing and changing of course. But I spend more time in watercolor then oil. So there would be more choice in watercolor 🙂
Awsome work. Does your work always meet the client's expectations?
Most of the works do. I try to involve a client as much as possible. The part before the painting starts takes most of the time because the client has a wish and I have to explain if it fits a painting or not
@@TitusMeeuws Thank you for your answer. Since I watch your videos I feel a lot more motivated for my art. But sometimes I just feel I am not getting anywhere. Can I ask when did you start painting? I mean when you started seriously because I know obviously you started as young when you were able to hold a brush 🙂
Hi Edina, after highschool I went to the Art Academy. So then it became more seriously. I graduated when I was 22 and then started painting every day
