Grandma said her name was Beth but to the grandkids her name is Grandma. I,m here to say there are tens of thousands of us that call her Grandma and will miss her. Death is part of life and I thank you Justin for being brave enough to make a movie about this part of life. You make us feel the pain of loss but some how even though were sad that makes life sweeter. I guess we can take life for granted sometimes. Maybe this should be the movie you put into the film contest next year. To the people that don't understand why he shows Grandma when she is dying I,m sorry your not able to understand . Of course he has always had her blessing to show this.
I have just watched a few of the latest videos about hurricane Helene, so don’t really “know” the family, but I do agree with what you wrote. It was a great video and a great homage to grandma Beth. ❤
I really liked her. One of my favorite people on the channel way back when I used to be a subscriber. Beautiful lady inside and out. Sorry for your loss.
Dying with dignity, surrounded by your loved ones, is a privilege that I wish everyone had. Your tribute to her life was beautiful, and you can treasure it forever. May she dwell in heaven with our Lord. And may the blessings of His love be with your family forever.
miephoex - Agree. This is not what dignity looks like. Grandma didn’t just have the Rhodes as her only family. There are other members of the family to consider, as well.
My husband passed away last month from terminal brain cancer. He was 31. We have 3 boys ages 7, 4, and 2, and currently 8 months pregnant with our first daughter. The worst part was slowly watching him lose the ability to do simple things. Like walking or talking. I take pride in knowing that I took care of him till the very end, he was loved. It was a blessing and curse watching him fade away, because I know that’s not how he wanted to be remembered. He is free now and soaring high. I tell my boys that daddy is in heaven building us a big house for when it’s our turn to see him again. 🌹🙏🕊️ death is never easy but then again life isn’t either. Each day is a blessing
Oh this made me weep… 😭 the image of your husband building a home for you all broke me. Giant hug, darling. May you find peace and joy on this journey without your husband.
I absolutely love that everyone has had a chance to say goodbye like this and get that closure, because that chance is so incredibly rare. May she rest in peace and i wish peace to your family in this hard time.
Before I watch the video, let me offer my condolences to Rebecca, her sister, Justin, Jonah, Josiah, Lily, Gideon, young Henry and the larger families. Thank you for sharing your mother & grandmother's life with us, we are enriched by her presence.🕊
you can share it without showing grand ma like that. very disrespectful. yes everyone dies but we don't plaster it all over the internet. it is a private moment for the family.
I do too. I didn't have this experience. Our families spread to the four winds and my kids are starting to as well. I'm trying to learn how to do life in a more healthy way to break chains of dysfunction.

Whoa, haven't cried like that in a while. What a beautiful celebration of life video. So sorry for your loss.. My heart breaks for you all. Im so glad Grandpa Bruce lives right there so you all can comfort each other. I really enjoyed when Beth was part of the videos. Although we were 'strangers' it felt like I knew her after watching all these years. She was such a special lady❤
I always remember Grandma saving the day. Countless times saying oh Grandma's in town and she's going to pick that up for us or grandma's going to head to town for us and take care of that. She loves you guys so much and will always be a part of the Hollar. See you on the other side, sweet Beth.
100% - she had a willing spirit and jumped in to help in whatever ways she could - making butter and other milk products, helping run errands, and so much more.
I HAD THE PRIVILEGE of meeting this wonderful lady at the HOA, in Virginia . She cared for baby Henry, she held him, rocked him and her smile was so big! GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY.
This is an incredibly intimate family moment. I am humbled that you shared it. R.I.P Beth. You leave a legacy of love and joy to your family and thousands of us who follow your family adventures. The tears will pass but the beautiful memories remain.
Whew, what a wonderful tribute to a special lady, who was a part of a very special family. We will all miss Grandma. Prayers for Grandpa and the rest of you guys. You all are dearly loved.
We will all miss Rebecca's mom. For me, and probably many other viewers, there's the strong memory of her frequently in your kitchen separating milk or helping out in some other way.
- To the kids - Your Grandma must of felt so at peace to hear how happy she made you all , and the memories you have with her! What a wonderful final gift of compassion . You have shown everyone how to give your people their flowers before they die! I am so proud of you! From just a lady who watches from UK. To Beth’s husband. I’m sorry you lost your lady , until you meet again ❤
When my husband's mother turned 80 we gave her a huge party and ask the grandkids got together and sent her a different flower arrangement every month for a year. She would get so excited... So proud of her grandkids.

This is so hard. It comes to all of us. Many fear it and contrary to the haters' kneejerk reactions, I think it is a service to let people see the humanity, the love, and that we all will face death. You did a good job.
Grandma was a beautiful woman, always running to town to pick something up, watch kids and help with family at the homesteading conferences. I'm blessed to have met her once. Heaven is enriched by her presence. Prayers for each of you and Grandpa as you grieve this loss.
Heart wrenching😢 thank you so much for sharing grandma's last few days and the footage of previous months and yrs. Love your family, you are truly good people.
I am so sorry for ur loss guys 💜 I have been watching ur journey from Hurricane Helene to the new house. Ur children are absolutely amazing, the way they work on the farm All my love & prayers to all of u Jules from Australia 🇦🇺
My aunt, Sharon, died October 1. It was the end of a long illness. She died at home moments after my husband and I arrived to check on her and my mother. It’s no easier than it was that day. Watching this made me wish I had videos of her like you have of Beth. Cherish those recordings. Save them in multiple ways for your kids. They’ll appreciate having the reminders of their grandmother, and one day their grandfather, too.
My heart was touched both with sorrow and joy. Sorrow at the heartbreak we feel when our mom is no longer here. The joy is all the love she shed upon our lives. The wonderful memories is all the videos you can view over and over again to not only see but hear her sweet voice.
It's wonderful to see how y'all handled that. Most people want to shield their kids from death...which is detrimental to them being strong, well adjusted adults. Right on. Much love y'all
Watching my children say goodbye to their dad was the worst day of my life. Yet, it was also a blessing. Thank you for sharing your blessing. God bless you all!

So sorry for your loss. Beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady. It’s crazy the resemblance between Beth and Rebekah at the 13:16 timestamp. Exact same smile, exact same laugh. Rip grandma.
Sorry for your loss. Please consider changing the thumbnail for this video, it is scary. I think there are plenty of clips of grandma smiling that would be less scary to look at. JMO 😢😢😢❤❤❤
@@WilliamWBG its sad that clicks and views are more important than keeping moments like this to themselves. instead of being in the moment when they had the chance to say goodbye he was more worried about having the camera and showing his children at a low moment in their lives like that. seeing them in the background you could see how uncomfortable they were. he should have been holding, comforting and being there for his kids and wife instead of worrying about how he can make money off of the situation.
Agree. Something doesn’t feel right about this . I’ve been watching this channel for a long time with my family who love to see how life is on a farm. But some things should be private. Especially for grandma. And the kids.
A posted video with Lily sobbing over her dying/ dead horse would be too much, much less posting their GRANDMOTHER ilike this. There are still personal relationships, private moments and meaningful interactions not meant for anyone else but ourselves in this life. Everything isn’t meant for the world and it’s a shame that Gtandma - and the kids - had no choice.
My favourite Beth moment was the grill fire when you all were freaking out and she just strolled out and threw baking soda on the grill..I nearly broke a rib laughing
what a blessing to be able to give grandma her blessings before she passed she was such a wonderful women sue enjoyed watching her with the family hugs to all god bless you all
This video was so beautifully done. I cried right along with your family. I lost my mom to Glioblastoma in 2021. She was diagnosed in January and passed in March. It was my greatest blessing to be her caregiver during those 6-7 weeks, but watching this video brought back many of the emotions I felt. It's the most beautiful thing but the most painful at the same time. I send blessings to your family. All of you were so blessed to have been so close.
Thanks for sharing this tribute and showing your children saying goodbye to their grandma! I also loved the parts where she told individuals what they meant to her on their birthday!!!! What a great idea for those of us who are grandparents ❣️ My condolences to all of you ❣️✝️❣️Praying for GOD’S comfort during these difficult times! 🙏 I am a new subscriber and found your channel since Helene and watching your videos for updates of recovery for your family!! May GOD truly bless you all ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
am i crazy to think that you shouldnt record your children saying goodbye to their grandma? i understand their whole life is on TH-cam but i feel like thats something that should be kept private.
What a sweet tribute and memorial for a special lady! I've been following your family's journey since your kids were small, and I'm so grieved that you're special mom and Grandma is gone. She was such a spunky, vibrant person! Praying for comfort for you all as you remember her! 😢❤
My deepest condolences to the Family on the passing of Grandma! She meant so much to so many including us Subscribers. She will be dearly missed! May God give the Family strength and comfort in the many memories. 🙏🏾🌹🕊️
This is a beautiful ending to life . I just can't watch the whole thing at once . I am working threw my own loss. Grandma has a wonderful family . See you soon . ❤❤❤
Now imagine filming all ten goodbyes for the world to see. With your children having no personal say in what gets published for clicks and views. Being an open book is one thing but violating the privacy of minors in that sort of way is completely despicable,
I lost my mom a few years ago and her birthday is coming up and a couple of days and I’ve been really sad missing her. After she passed I didn’t think I’d ever stop crying and then time passed and I was able to talk about her and all the happy times without the tears 😭 but I saw this and the floodgates opened my heart breaks for what your lovely mom and your family had to endure during her last chapter of life. Justin this was an incredible video and it shows all the love that everyone had for a very special lady. God bless you Rebecca and the tears will fade but the memories last a lifetime.❤️🥰🇨🇦🙏🏻🍁
I just started watching the channel in the aftermath of hurricane Helene. I was very quickly drawn to the very strong family work ethic, kindness and desire to help others. This was one of the best tributes to an elder that I've seen. Grandma receiving the blessings from all the family members--young and old--was extremely touching. I'll be watching your channel regularly with great anticipation for years to come.
Omg...Lilly and I think it is Josiah? You guys made me cry!!! What a beautiful tribute to grandma. I'm hoping she didn't get that thing that they convinced everyone to get in their arm? ALS, Cancer, heart attacks and strokes is what I have found. My neighbor (farmer) ended up with emergency apendectomy 2 weeks after. His daughter is a nurse and tried telling him not to get it. Now he has prostate cancer. Apendix is part of your immune system. What a lovely lady and she left this earth WAY too soon. What a blessed family. Rebecca you will carry on her legacy. God Speed healing in your wounded heart.
Goodness, that was hard for the kids but just shows how much they loved grandma. Lots don’t get the chance to say goodbye like that. Heartbreaking but fond memories, I’m sure. ❤️
My mom was in hospice when she passed last year. All nurses are angels but there is a special space in my heart and in heaven for those that work in hospice. Thank you for what you did and who you are.
This absolutely beautiful. What a legacy; what a wonderful memory for each of you. Wow. Thank you for sharing this lovely, personal, expression of family love and God’s grace.
This was a tear jerker. Thank you for sharing all the past memories with grandma. It was so nice to see the kids when they were younger. RIP grandma. You will be missed.
2nd the tears flowing💦💦 Grandma was part of the “u-tube” family. She touch all of our hearts, in her unique way❤️ She has been missed on the episodes and will be missed❤️ Hopefully Big Daddy will be in more episodes, not replacing Grandma but to continue that bond between grandparent(s) and their children, even as adults and even more importantly the relationship with their grandchildren❤️ The “grandparent” relationship has been severely crippled😢 It is so nice to see families through the “u-tube” communities, who incorporate the grandparents and that relationship dynamic❤️ So important, I pray this brings a change and definitely awareness how important our Parents and their Parents and such are and the wealth of wisdom they have to share and add value to the family ❤️ Your family will be in my prayers. May our Father in heavens peace that surpasses all understanding, during this difficult time, cover you and fill you with his strength, may His wings of refuge be a warm hug in moments of need❤️🪽❤ In Jesus name Amen 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️✝️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼
A most brave & loving family. I applaud Justin & Rebecca along with her parents for documenting this time of love , blessings & celebration of life . Its all part of mourning the loss that is enevitable. For those who find it difficult & i feel that's most, maybe this will give some insight that death is not what we always imagine. That it can be full of love & sharing. My condolences to you all. Good bless you Gma. Thank you .xx
P.S. What a gift to share her passing. That is what family is about. Supporting each other through EVERYTHING! She is right, "See you on the other side" Grandma!!
I lost my dad at 12...never knew my grandfathers...they passed at a young age...lost both grandmothers at 14. My mother is 91 and on the cusp of eternity. With that said.. the dignity & love that was shown to Grandma is to be commended!! May God bless & keep you & yours!

what a blessing to be able to give grandma her blessings before she passed she was such a wonderful women sue enjoyed watching her with the family hugs to all god bless you all
This video was so beautifully done.

May GOD truly bless you all ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
When Josiah lost it, I felt his pain. I lost my husband on Fathers Day, do the pain comes back easily. I respected her so much.
I’m so sorry for your loss but the fact you have home videos is the best part.
am i crazy to think that you shouldnt record your children saying goodbye to their grandma? i understand their whole life is on TH-cam but i feel like thats something that should be kept private.
Maybe it was her choice? I definitely see what you're saying and agree with it, I'm also trying to be optimistic
Being an open book is one thing but violating the privacy of minors in that sort of way is completely despicable,
Iam sure the parents discuss things with the children. Raise your childen the way you see fit..❤
I cried so hard watching this,, what a beautiful soul!
My thoughts exactly!
Oh, sweet Lily, may grandma always live in your heart.
Even our pain is bittersweet.
Shine with Jesus grandma.❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻😇😇😇
Goodness, that was hard for the kids but just shows how much they loved grandma. Lots don’t get the chance to say goodbye like that. Heartbreaking but fond memories, I’m sure. ❤️
What a beautiful tribute to your Mother. I was a Hospice nurse for over 20 years. You all did an amazing job walking this journey. ❤❤❤
My mom was in hospice when she passed last year. All nurses are angels but there is a special space in my heart and in heaven for those that work in hospice. Thank you for what you did and who you are.
@@carmenvirovec6927 thank you ❤️
This absolutely beautiful. What a legacy; what a wonderful memory for each of you. Wow. Thank you for sharing this lovely, personal, expression of family love and God’s grace.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lord for allowing us to have her brighten our lives as long as we did.
SO hard to go through when you start crying. Grandma will be missed. May your dark times be brightened with great memories of her life.
The love this family has is overflowing. Thank you for sharing these beautiful moments. My prayers and condolence to you and your family
This was a tear jerker. Thank you for sharing all the past memories with grandma. It was so nice to see the kids when they were younger. RIP grandma. You will be missed.
Thanks for crying with us
2nd the tears flowing💦💦 Grandma was part of the “u-tube” family. She touch all of our hearts, in her unique way❤️ She has been missed on the episodes and will be missed❤️ Hopefully Big Daddy will be in more episodes, not replacing Grandma but to continue that bond between grandparent(s) and their children, even as adults and even more importantly the relationship with their grandchildren❤️ The “grandparent” relationship has been severely crippled😢
It is so nice to see families through the “u-tube” communities, who incorporate the grandparents and that relationship dynamic❤️
So important, I pray this brings a change and definitely awareness how important our Parents and their Parents and such are and the wealth of wisdom they have to share and add value to the family ❤️ Your family will be in my prayers.
May our Father in heavens peace that surpasses all understanding, during this difficult time, cover you and fill you with his strength, may His wings of refuge be a warm hug in moments of need❤️🪽❤
In Jesus name Amen
🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️✝️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼
Lord have mercy give them strength & comfort in their time of need!🙏💔🙏💔🙏💔
A most brave & loving family. I applaud Justin & Rebecca along with her parents for documenting this time of love , blessings & celebration of life . Its all part of mourning the loss that is enevitable. For those who find it difficult & i feel that's most, maybe this will give some insight that death is not what we always imagine. That it can be full of love & sharing. My condolences to you all. Good bless you Gma.
Thank you .xx
Amazing tribute to Grandma. Moved me to tears. Condolences to your family.❤
P.S. What a gift to share her passing. That is what family is about. Supporting each other through EVERYTHING! She is right, "See you on the other side" Grandma!!
You are blessed to able to say goodbye. So many dont get that opportunity.
I knew it was coming, and I never knew her, and yet here I am sitting and crying watching this. You have such a special family!!
I lost my dad at 12...never knew my grandfathers...they passed at a young age...lost both grandmothers at 14. My mother is 91 and on the cusp of eternity. With that said.. the dignity & love that was shown to Grandma is to be commended!! May God bless & keep you & yours!
That was a wonderful send off to a loved one. Remembering grandma’s life was beautiful.
It makes my heart sad knowing Grandma is gone but she will never be forgotten, Rebecca I love your strength.
