As a construction worker and a tech enthusiast i have gained alot of respect for linus from his random and correct knowledge of how home improvement is supposed to be done the right way
It’s a very mixed relationship. On one hand you get 5000 dollars for new tech and a boss who is nice to work with. On the other hand he just goes around dropping and breaking all the new free stuff you got.

For a man who ditched being a professional painter, and has a literal office full of professional tech gadgets, Linus has very strong opinions on what professional painters need.
I went to trade school to be a painter. There's a lot of fancy tools and such you can use to paint with. But give me a cut brush and a roller with an extension and that's all I need to paint a whole house.

@@JamesMichaelDoyle It looks cleaner if you pop the panel cover off and cut in around it (if we're talking bare minimums ;). But at least it's only one coat of paint. Not like 1/2" of paint layers locking in every device and panel on the wall like you see at every school gymnasium ever!
