As for the video I did not notice too much difference between the GoPro versus the phone.1st rate as always my friend.Stay well and hope you got the bucks out of the Charger at auction

@Scotty secretly loves Chryslers Don't matter if he's a zoomer, looner or tuner, he's right. Automobiles we don't hardly make, and look at photos of Detroit in its heyday. Great autos, cheap gas and men were men and women were glad. Now John comes home one day after too many poop breaks watching tictock and desides he's always felt a lil feminine. If they can wear a dress and have a beard and beer gut, hairy pits, legs and Adam's apple like me then why can't IJohnnie Jane? In his new ugly as hell, Rusted in 3 months, no spare, touch screen, self driving 40K plastic, no frame and 20 inch rims, stranded cause he left his key transponder in his work pants when he changed into his dress. Yeah I miss the 90s too.
Great music, cheap gas, great jobs, Great autos, and normal people that use common language. Kurt Cobain And POTUS that got freaky in the white house and was good to us, not a gropey, braindead perv who tells us most important thing to do before hurricane season it to get poked so you can still be sick and spread it all along, if not ,no job for you. You white, racist, Hero cop 18 months ago, now a contagious super spreader!! Don't be a idiot, well pay you to take it, cause that's what you do when shit so deadly is dropping folks like Flys, so scary you pay them, make a lottery for them, or just bully them by making them lose their retirement and livelihood. But got enough monopoly money to print 450k to illegals. He'll yes they want to come in hoards. No laws for them, no mandates, no worries cause we'll give you almost a half million. Great work America. If he got 80 million votes, there's more idiots and mental ppl that need serious help. Let's go Brandon!! Joe stop groping lil Cindy and stop smelling her hair, were in public and you're doing it again!!

@Scotty secretly loves Chryslers Well hell, I like you even more now we on same side. And yes there is a few nice ones, but to compare any of them to the 50s 57 Chevy, Trucks started to get more interesting, 60s with the GTO blazin trails for the pony cars to come, 70s with the SS Chevy Novas, Chevelles, Camaros, Firebird El Caminos ,Rancheros, then oil crisis and our favs got anemic but one held on, Pontiac. The SD 455 Trans AM and then But came to Movies with a Black with gold accents and the Screaming Chicken. Then the 80s not so much really but a chicken farmer with a bad ticker was back with Iacoca to tune and turbo a Dodge GLH? Wtf but you hear it and say wait a sec, I hear that air and blow off valve, and it's almost 200HP or over. Then ask what's a GLH? Goes like hell, Then more power in a GLHS Goes like hell somemore. 90s were getting there,1990 Chevy 454 SS truck, Ford lightning supercharged, Fox body stang, SVT stang, then 2000 Trans AM Firehawk with the Dbl Barrel hood scoop and the 325 HP and almost 400 TQ, OH my Lanta, same engine as in top trim level corvette Z sumthin 1. Then we lost Pontiac, Olds, Plymouth, and now all cars besides Demons, TRX, GT and ? Just not feeling it. And yeah I had a Audi. A6. Turbo 5cyl. Oh boy what a car, until it started falling apart and breaking and parts was a bitch along with the money they cost. Dad had a 07 Ram 2500 Diesel Cummins 6.7 I think with the variable geometry turbo. Lasted a few months. Then the I don't recall the rear wheel bearing maybe. He sold his 1998 Dodge 2500 5.9 liter diesel. Fenders flapping with spray foam filler, almost 620000 miles on Original drive train. 23 years and still can't stop it. New 2022 F150s rusting weeks, not months weeks later. Corvette is sweet. But everything else is blah. No sec lines or curves. It's like comparing today's rock to Nirvana, 1993. No comparison. Nirvana all the way. Or Luke Bryan to Waylon. Nope no chance. Hank 3, said some say I'm not country and that's just fine by me, cause I don't wanna be country with some faggot looking over at me, some say I'm ill mannered, or I'm gonna self destruct, if you know what I'm saying, you know that pop country really sucks, so I'm here 2 put the Dik in Dixie and the Kunt back in Kuntry, cause the kinda country I'm hearing now days is a bunch of fucking shit to me. That sums it up for most music. Tom Mcdonald is good. Made me feel music again. Like cars you feel things that are good with all of your senses. Nirvana reached in my soul and grabbed ahold of me and never let go. Just like Cash, Soundgarden, Etc. When you see a 1970 SS LS6 454 Chevelle in Black with that white racing stripe going from front over cowl induction hood and to the rear, hear that big girl with a lumpy idle go wump, wump, wump, it makes your heart start beating in time, get a lil hot, flushed, start sweating, smile, start to just drown out everything but that beautiful, powerful piece of Art that will set you back in your seat with all the Torque and when that 4 barrel opens up and is sucking all that air, oh man. My Unvle had one we restored as a 15yr old it was my wet dream. We'd go do burnouts and take my buddies for rides cause they never been in a car that'd pin you to the seat so hard you can't move. I'd wash and wax it and put the exhaust cut out caps back on and polish those Crager SS rims and slick the Firestone Firehawk tires. His buddy John got a 69 Camaro RS with a hopped up small block and automatic. Chevelle was auto too, that what was so impressive, no dumping clutch just off brake and mash gas and man alive!! John scared the shit outta me going down a 1 n half lane country barely blacktopped road at almost 100. I was never more scared as a young man, even when hearing snapping above me, Dad and moms heads, WTH is that, then report, boom. That's bullets. Ppl road hunting and shooting at the deer above us in holler, them on ridge. Then at 27 in a shit hole across the pond, trying to make a difference that ended so well.
      But
Just like when you finally meet the woman you been waiting for. Yes you've had some good ones, some hoopties, and a few what the hell better with you than just me. But then you see her look at you and you feel the EXACT same way as that car. That's what's missing. If your a car guy with gas in your veins you'll know what I mean. My first love was cars. Looking all all the designs, features, colors. Almost top behind 70 SS is a 50s up Citroën with the hydopneumatic suspension. Can have a flat tire, no worries hit a lever and it can go on 3 wheels, rides almost as good as my 07 Designer and is just fun to drive. I love lincoln Town Cars and any Panther. Some go for 600k and more on factory driveline, motors and trans are bulletproof, comphy, roomie, good mileage, good power and TQ with cats gone and Air box opened up and straight air duct hose, and a good muffler with just enough rumble. Looks good, rides and drives good and has 5 star crash in all categories, first US car to do so. We had WRX STI, A few smoking Japanese makes just alot of cars that you can feel. We don't Got that as much today as then. And alot of big names are phasing out cars, V8 engines, Camaro may be gone again. My favorite to h
Build was a 90 Firebird with a 5spd, original 305 swapped for a 327 out of a nova pushing around 365 HP and a lil more TQ than that. Would go 145 on Interstate late or early in Morning in 5th humming along at 1700 RPMs with car starting to sway back and forth thinking if I had wings I could take off. You have a great week my friend. Semper Fi and Let's go Brandon!!

Unless the dealer offered him a lower price he paid full pop. Super sharp guy as well but was so intimidated he was willing to pay more for things rather then ask or negotiate. I'm a proud owner of a 2005 Lincoln Town car, these cars are just great all around. They're luxurious, but they still hold really good fuel economy for their size and feature set. And I got mine near showroom condition, so I was kind of afraid to do any of the maintenance myself, then one day I decided what the heck I'll do my own oil change on it. They even include a guide at the front end where the oil comes down from the drain plug and funnels instead of going all over the place, same for the oil filter, it all funnels into one spot and comes out nice and even. Small details like that are awesome. I install my own aftermarket stereo, two bolts and the whole entire dashboard comes off. I installed aftermarket speakers and subwoofer, there's so much room in the paneling is all easy to access, including going through the firewall for the power wires, it's just something you least expect from a luxury car. When you think luxury car you think big complex machines. But these Lincoln Town cars are definitely exceptional.

Had a handful and own a 99 Cartier with over 250k and a 07 with 114k. 99 left me walking once when hot side of stater wire broke. That's it in 9 years. And I got starter out, cleaned off, cut a old ground wire from a junk car and soldered it on and covered in black tape and went down to put it in and she fired up. Drove to pick n pull grabbed another and been going ever since. I love these cars. Easy to fix, have few issues and no serious issues and so big, 5 star crash rating all around, first American car to do so, and gets great mileage if you live in flatland. Or just drive with sense. Can't go wrong. I just wish I'd not always said, that's a grandpa's car, I need a firebird, or truck. No I should've gotten a panther and been alot richer, less wrenching, and more easily maintained. Change all fluids on schedule, seal up cowl vent, and have a DDM handy just in case. Ppl say trains weak. No never lost one yet. One fella had over 649000 miles and still going strong. Don't flush the tranny. Just filter and fluid. Ppl flush and start having issues cause they watch a video and it says so easy, unhook line in rad, start and let it pump out while putting new fluid in. No not with a panther. If you want to keep it going just what manual says.

@@kitjasabsgabs1830 I regret that I don't drive a Ford or Lincoln car. But I agree. I've heard people say that once they reach a certain mileage, or a certain age, it's time to junk the car. I disagree totally. Sure, it costs money to maintain a car and keep it on the road, but so what? It comes with the territory.

@@jasoncarpp7742 Unless it's a rust belt car too far gone then I can see that. But my buddy's Dad from Marines had a livery service in NYC. He'd buy these at 200k and over so they be cheap, freshen up what he wanted and ran them until they fell apart. And he didn't have alot of serious issues with cars he got from older folks. Just cars that wasn't serviced on time and properly or a short tripper car. A few had close to a million miles on them before the bad roads and salt finally won. Now what other car made in last 20 years can you achieve this with where parts are cheap and plentiful, has a frame so a deer smashing the bumper and grill won't bend unibody and be totalled, and first USA car to get 5 star all around in crash rating and ride like a recliner cloud and just be enjoyable to drive? I love them. All cars do have their issues, but these wasn't changed every few years with non proven parts. Pretty much same thing from start to finish. Body changed but frame, engine etc. Why? Not needed. Why fix what's not broke?

LOL Nice job getting it back to 98%! On the GoPro....better wide angle shots for sure. With all my talk about this car, I've never actually owned one. Driven well over 100 of them as rental cars (former Avis employee, yes they did rent Lincolns in Boston). Only thing this car is missing? Factory moonroof.
I have owned 2 Lincoln Mark VIII's, a 95 base and 97 LSC as well as a 95 Thunderbird with the 4.6l. I'll be watching to see if/when you sell it. Purdy color combo.

I have a 1996 Town Car. Most likely, the lower radiator hose on the 1995 in this video rests on a couple of plastic fingers attached to the fan shroud, as with my car. If you just pull the fan shroud straight up and out like this guy did, you're going to break those 2 plastic lower radiator hose supports attached to the fan shroud, and your lower radiator hose will then droop and rub on the left side support, and wear a hole in the hose. So, you will need to remove the screws holding the lower plastic cover underneath the front of the engine, first, then remove the plastic cover under the front of the engine, then push the lower radiator hose off of the 2 lower fan shroud lower radiator hose supports. Once the lower radiator hose is out of the way, you can pull the fan shroud out, but only after rotating the large plastic "C-clip" like front shroud up in its circular slot to allow the shroud to clear the fan blades. In other words, the shroud is actually in 2 parts, and the front part rotates up toward the top of the engine in a plastic track in the shroud to allow it to clear the fan blade and allow removal of the entire shroud. It's really pretty simple and logical, but I'm probably explaining it badly. I highly recommend CrownVic net and LincolnsOnline forum to explain this better.

If a major car manufacturer could come out with a sedan (or perhaps a Crossover SUV) with the old school, floaty-boaty suspension and plush, comfy chairs and pair it with the latest tech for safety, navigation, and entertainment, they'd have a hit.

I had a continental. The air suspension pump blew out in a drive thru. Tore 2 of the Goodyear airbags . Lincoln water thousands to repair it . This was 20 years ago. I drove it for a while after bouncing up and down scraping the tires on the fender well . There are airbag delete kits now. Well worth the hassle

Also love how you were able to fix the issues yourself with some thought and a little bit of work. If you took this into the wrong mechanic and you didn't know any better, they could've easily screwed you out of a few grand worth of work.

This is funny. As I am watching your video my friend, who turns car parts into furniture, sent me some pictures of the new desk he made. It is the front end of this very car in a light blue. He used the fenders and header panel and built a desk where the engine would be. What a coincidence. By the way I agree with you they should bring back these cars. Now that I am older and need a luxury car with soft suspension, they don't exist.

Nice buy dude! I just picked a 2000 Lincoln Continental with 140k on the clock for $1800. Its been such an amazing car and it is in near immaculate condition. I absolutely love these older Lincolns. There is just something about driving them that is comfortable and doesn't at feel outdated. Everything works on my car, only down side is it has a little air suspension leak. Shouldnt be too hard to fix that though.

    • @DUCKSAREEVILLLLLLLL

The car you have is front wheel drive, so it's better in the snow. Be sure to replace the serpentine belt, or it may break and your water pump will stop working, and your car will overheat and warp the head gasket, as mine did, in -15F weather.(If you haven't replaced that belt in a few years, do it, now. It's very cheap) Despite the tire pressure monitoring system on the top console constantly nagging me, that was my favorite car, ever. Had I replaced that belt, I'd probably still have it. The leather and wood interior was very warmly lit and comfortable in the winter. Many of the exterior panels were plastic, too, so those didn't become rust buckets. $1800 is really cheap; you did very well. Keep up on the maintenance, and you'll have that car for a many years.
