Hi I play the sax myself I'm 15 and I'm really inspired by you and your dad, you're both incredible musicians. He must be so proud of you! I was wondering, what mouthpiece do you use and are there any you can recommend as I need an upgrade from my current Yamaha 4c

And this is why we are presenting him with the David Newton trio in the EFG London Jazz Festival at The Other Palace on Saturday November 18th @3pm. What a wonderful sound and such virtuoso musicality.

Love your smooth and sweet sound. May I ask about the mouthpiece you are using in this video?

@@AlexBone Though I know your smooth sound is most up to your mouth, I still want to try a Meyer. Thank you very much.

    Well done
A lot of people asking about little brother's equipment lol
Not totally sure on the mouthpiece...it sounds similar to a Meyer 5M or 7M. Clearly he has a Rovner Dark ligature...or something similar and I know he uses Steuer reeds.
I use a Vandoren Jumbo Java A45 with Vandoren Traditional 2.5 reeds or Steuer Traditional 2.5 reeds and an optimum ligature. Very versatile for combo playing such as this...even contemporary jazz and rock.
