I looked into it further, and you can definitely remove the pads on the SHP9500. You can get new pads from Dekoni Audio. Also, you can buy 3rd party cables for the ATH-M40x. Amazon sells them.
Thanks god I found this video, I have SHP9500 and lovee it, I want to buy another headphone for my office and considering MX40, but I think I might get philips SHP9500 again. The comfort and sound is amazing indeed
I love the SHP9500, I have 5 pair in my Office as the open back design works very well for family LAN gaming. If we keep volume a tad lower than usual we can easily talk to each other and hear only our own game sound. Very important for lan is being able to communicate with people in the room without pulling side off your ear to hear. Just picked up a 2nd pair of like new M40X for $30 a few hours ago. Got my first like new pair for $40 a few years ago. Also have some M50X that I think I paid $40 but were cigarette smelling and had to spend a good amount of time to clean them. My original Sony MDR-V6 still work fine but don't get much use with the 9500's around.
I like listening Audio and Music. I have the ATH and found no problem with them, fit well and good sound for me. Keep thinking to buy a pair of Philips, but not got round to it. The ATH Box is good, and express care taking them out of the box as fear twisting the phones against the stop, and a breakage, but just careful, and get them on my head. Good Headphones. I am not a gamer, hi fi and radio. {Got John Wright TDL Monitors}
A way you can take care of the pads is thru personal hygiene, your hair gets greasy your skin as well but, the way my SHP fit on my head, the pads will definitely never crease
@@District.24 which headphone should i consider , im strictly in need for mixing headphones and i was considering m40x but the hinges are stopping me from getting it !! Can you pls suggest me some options!!
Can't help you there, sorry. I have limited experience in the mixing area. I would do some TH-cam research to find out what others prefer to use for mixing. Narrow it down to a choice that works for you.
The ATH-M40x's imaging is terrible... It's a tad too bright/treble heavy for me, the bass is nice and not boomy/overpronounced. I got the HM5 brainwavs and a BALM40x bluetooth adapter for it. Compared to a pair of 1MORE triple drivers for gaming it is lacking.. I really wanted to like the headset but I think I fell for the overhyping of these headphones. Gonna be hard to let it go but I'm selling for a pair of SHP9500's - Hope it is deserving of the hype.

I would like to know, based from your experience with SHP9500, does this product also gives good quality for audio/voice transcription?

@@District.24 What if you answer?
Can SHP9500 be installed Bluetooth Module ?
Not that I’m aware of.
Yes it has a Bluetooth option, you can buy one
Didn't talk about the sound at all. Isn't that the most important aspect?
@6:45. Did you actually watch the video in its entirety, or just skip through it? Skipping through videos is a sure way to miss parts.
Hi Troy, it's recommended use a dac to move correctly this both headphones?
You only need a dac/amp if the volume levels are too low for you. If they’re fine for your ears, then you don’t need a dac/amp.
Do you think the padding for SPH would last long time?
I believe it would.
A way you can take care of the pads is thru personal hygiene, your hair gets greasy your skin as well but, the way my SHP fit on my head, the pads will definitely never crease
The pads could be changed. You can custom 3d print adapter rings and buy aftermarket pads.
@@hssssssssssss Thanks
Can i use this philips for mixing music?
In 2022 there are better choices.

It's a subject field. You have to find the pair that works best for you.
The SHP9500 destroys the GSP 600, that's how bad the GSP line up is.
Interesting.
@@District.24the gsp 600 is that bad?, I was thinking on picking the m40x or the gsp 600 just for the mic
Gsp 600 is amazing. This guy above doesn't know what is he saying.
